Clearly doesn’t know what she’s doing and has had no professional training. She put the floral foam in the containers upside down so the flowers couldn’t draw water. She was cutting the stems with scissors which crushes the stems. I could go on and on.
I can see clearly that you don’t know… so many things. I’m a teacher since "I was born" and I’m using this space to share my knowledge with everyone who need it and have not other resource to learn more than RUclips so, calling my teacher side, probably you can learn something from me. Your comment made me think that your experience was way bigger than mine, and that is awesome. We can learn from each other so, I decide to visit your RUclips channel and I just found… nothing. An empty channel. No videos, not information about you, nothing. I am here, everyone know my name and can visit my other links, everyone can reach me through my email and I held long conversations with "strangers " from different latitude of the globe just to help them grow their business or prepare their events. I’m not hiding me from anyone. I respect others people channels even when I’m not agree with all of them. That is called RESPECT. And, if I DON’T UNDERSTAND, like you said about my work, I ask and I learn. With all the respect I must to have. So, there are many ways to express your opinion, I can see you haven’t chosen the right one and, if you know something that I ignore, the best you can do, is share it with me and I’ll be more that pleased to learn. After all, the life is a permanent learning process. Yes, I’m agree with you, you don’t understand….
Please explain how the floral foam is upside down.. you do know that they absorb water right? Cutting fresh flowers with scissors doesn’t crush them unless they are dull scissors.. and fresh flowers are only going to last a small amount of time anyways…. My uncle owns two shops, I’ve watched him and his other amazing florist work for 40+ years and I have been working with silk flowers for 20+ years.. Not sure why you would jump on a video and accuse someone of not knowing what they are doing without explaining how you do your arrangements..
Beautiful and thanks for sharing this video 👏👏👏👏Through watching a lot of RUclips flower arrangement like this, have learnt a lot such that I started arranging my own living room flowers then extended making for my church every Sunday for free such that everyone come to know me through the gorgeous flowers. Have improved so much such that one Sunday I just got a phone call from a church member asking if I could do a flower arrangement for her wedding 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼 I thank God for growing my business so fast than I thought.
So beautiful! I love watching you...I learn so much from you. You made one with blue/turquoise hydrangea and I watched several times before I did them myself for a wedding...thank you so much I couldn't have done it without your help!
Thank you so much for your tutorials. I learned so much in knowing how to create a low reception centerpiece. I would like to see how to prep a tall reception centerpiece. I have seen many, but they do not take the time to show how the arrangement was prepped with the foam. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks so much for this tutorial! And especially thanks for giving us a peek at how it was all set up in the church. It all looked lovely and the bride was beautiful!!
Lovely demonstration thank you . Please where did you purchase the gold pots. In previous answer to same question you stated link below but I could not see the link. Thank you.
A tip to make it more sustainable as oasis is a plastic that cannot be reused or recycled. Scrunch up a ball of chicken wire and fill the bowl with water. The chicken wire can be reused multiple times. Xxx
Thanks to both of you for sharing your wonderful talents and knowledge. Is it possible to include in one of your videos how to use the chicken wire with the oasis for the benefit of your subscribers and friends! Thanks 🙏🏼!
Sure! I use excel to do the numbers. On the left side I write the pieces I have to do (centerpieces-12-; bridesmaid’s bouquet-6-; boutonnières-8- everything). On the top bar, I write the flowers and its color: white hydrangeas, pink roses, blush pink spray roses, and everything else that you know you will need. And then, I count, base in the picture the client sent me, the flowers I need. The excel program will do the numbers for you. So, at the end of each column you will have the amount of each flower that you need to order. Now, the experience helps a lot. And, with the time you will see, your clients order basically similar designs, changing provably, colors and sizes. I hope this can help you, if isn’t enough, just send me other questions and I’ll answer you back. Thanks and good luck!
Hi there! I use this: Crowning Glory Flower Spray 32 Fl. Oz.- I don’t remember if it is the same in the video but, for sure, works perfectly. Also, remember to add food to the water where the oasis will be submerged. Thanks!
Muchas gracias por tu comentario. Fíjate en el cuadro de abajo hay un enlace donde se podían comprar. Si no hay ahí, seguí buscando en el internet. Suerte!
Do you have a receipt for centerpieces ? Thanks. Looks beautiful. And how much you charge per one centerpiece if you don’t mind sharing. I am a new florist and this information will help me. Thank you in advance.
Sure! I guess you mean a recipe, or formula. If that is the case, yes I do have; if not, it can be harder to find out the cost for your floral arrangements. What I do, I consider the size of the design that the client has chosen and start to counting the flowers. Obviously, all this based on your client’s budget. If you don’t have that information, try to keep it "friendly" with the option to add more flowers or items. I use a excel sheet (on top I write the flowers names and their colors and on the left the items I have to elaborate) so, if I have 10 centerpieces (that will be on the left column) and they need 10 white hydrangeas, (top bar) the total will be 100 white hydrangeas that I’ll order. And so on with each flower and each item. So, at the bottom line you will have the total of each flower. What I do, is I add a little more (or I order full boxes, not open boxes ) to be have enough flowers, in case some of them doesn’t look very well. And the price is based on the the time you’ll spend , the cost of the flowers and the others elements you use. Separately, you’ll add delivery, setup and breakdown and, if it is necessary, waiting time. This waiting time is for those cases you need to stay at the venue after the setting, because there is some floral arrangements that needs to me relocated to other spots. Such as the arches floral arrangements that usually the brides wants to relocate or on the sweetheart table or the whole arch behind her table. (Which I’m not longer do because it is too risky to move some stuff when you are surrounded by people, so I offer to relocate just the flowers to her table or other places, up to her) I hope this can help you, if you need more information, please do not hesitate in send me other message. Thanks for watching my channel!
Thank you for your reply. I understand it. I just want to know how much you change per one centerpiece. So I don’t give people too low prices or too high.thank you.
When we talk about centerpieces I understand "centerpieces for an event’ so, there will be more than one. The price for just one centerpiece is way more expensive than 10 centerpieces because the loose flowers prices are more expensive than those you buy by bulk or by boxes. In this case, for example, one centerpiece will cost $120 and 10 centerpieces $90 each.
