Wow💜💜💜💜 I wish I would have been able to see him back then in that era. No way would my parents let me go to a Prince concert back then as I wasn't a teenager yet. ...how lucky those concert goers were.
I just grabbed a poster with him playing the cloud guitar from this fabulous Purple Rain Tour for just $7.63 at one of my favorite used stores yesterday......
In 1985, I was fortunate enough to get to see both Prince and Wham! in concert. I still have the ticket stubs. Both shows were $17.50! So cheap. Never would I have thought we’d lose both Prince and George Michael in the same year, both too young. So glad I have those memories of the concerts.
I remember seeing the Purple Rain Tour news report from January 3rd, 1985 with Prince and the Revolution performing live in Atlanta on RUclips, they even showed Sheila E. performing "The Belle of St. Mark" while she was opening for Prince and the Revolution, and now the clip is gone, if only one of those retro news websites had it.
You know it’s funny bc Prince didn’t have a jheri curl, he got that style with perm rods. MJ and Prince had completely different hairstyles in the 80s.
@@justchilling704 But it’s similar. It’s similar it’s making people compare both and MJ tributes do Prince or MJ fans love both equally or call MJ their fave and Prince second fave
@@justchilling704 It can be similar. MJ and Prince hair looks similar to the point people compare both, MJ tributes do both or people often put both in the same box. Jheri Curl is a perm. You use the chemical rearranger cream and perm rods to curl it. And also MJ made it more popular and due to the influence of Thriller Prince wanted a piece of MJ
I saw this tour three nights in NC. Superb memories of a world class musician/perforner.
Greensboro!!! Originally 2 shows and then he added the 3rd show that week!!!
Wow.trop chance 🤘

There was an "after party" too?!

Teen girls were crazy for him in my class

$17.50 for a ticket to see Prince. Damn! Was a concert ticket ever that cheap?
That reporter chick , Nikki, was corny even for the 80s
0:37 that hair is a copy of Michael Jacksons Jheri Curl from 1983
