- NEW CFA STORE creekfishingadventures.store/ Decided to drive down to north Alabama to fish in the Little River, and visit the little river canyon center state park. Caught my Personal best Redeye coosa bass. I should have weighed it but was to busy trying to catch the next one. it was around 1 pound i would say and probably 13 inches long.

Lots of great memories in this area. Backpacked many times back in the early to late 70's. It was almost wilderness back then. No welcome center or parking lots. We use to park up near the bridge on the side toward Georgia. Then hike down that side for miles. No nature trails just game trails. First time fishing we had to use ropes to repel down the canyon wall. Caught fish after fish that day on a yellow and black beetle spin including one that was at least 3 lbs. Great swimming spot on down river where you can swim under and thru falls to a cavern like area. Keep your eye out for the spot where people rolled cars over the edge of the canyon. I can't wait to see more videos from there. Used to be a park and camping area down at the mouth of the canyon where you can walk into the lower end, great fishing up from there too.
