    HI EVERYONE!
First off, WOW! After I uploaded this video, I never checked in to see if I had any viewers. I thought I would get at most 10 views… NOT almost 50K!
Thank you to everyone’s kind words. I’m so glad it could help some people with their anxiety and I’m sorry if it actually ended up being painful for you.
I created this video when I was 20 years old after my cystoscope when I was frequently getting UTIs (since I was 17) and they were trying to see if I had any bladder issues.
Since then… I have moved to Italy 🇮🇹 (I am Active Duty Air Force) and I have had my first baby girl! 💕
Since having a baby my UTIs have not been as frequent. I’m not sure if it came with age or having my insides changed a little. But the good news is I am in great health and I hope you all are too!
I also would like to point out one thing: I am NOT a medical professional, so please take my experience/review lightly. I only uploaded this because when I had this procedure done I was DESPERATELY trying to find a comforting video and all I could find were terrifying medical videos.
Thank you for the kind words! It’s always a little cringe to watch old videos back, however, if I could help ease just ONE person’s mind, it was worth it.
    Any updates on you guys??!

@@raquelacuna281 Hi! My symptoms were mainly having many recurring UTIs as well as not completely emptying out each time I went to the bathroom. I was constantly feeling like I needed to go to the bathroom and could not release it all. Sorry for the late reply! Hope you are well. 🙂

@@samanthahill1602 I hear ya!!! I can relate....Being a male, I was super-paranoid! I had mine last week. The urologist had my legs in the GYN-type device as if I was about to give birth...LOL. Getting the cystoscopy itself was easy peasy. The follow-up bladder surgery to remove a slate of bladder tissue plus 2 other biopsies was the worst part. It felt like I was peeing out a knife for 3 days. Hopefully, I get the results of the biopsies sometime this week. Thanks again for posting this video because it really prepared me for the procedures. I was put under complete anesthesia for the surgery so I didn't feel anthing until after surgery. I woke up having severe bladder cramps. During the 1st cystoscopy, the medical assistant completely numbed my vaginal area before the procedure so again I didn't feel anything.

@@samanthahill1602Please keep the video up. People need to see the positive stories. Some people will have bad experiences for any number of reasons: anxiety, bad bedside manner from medical staff, trauma etc... Some people legitimately have bad experiences. But, we need examples of positive (or at least not horrible) experiences.

@@roxannestone5151I hope you got good news back from your biopsy results. I had a cystoscopy 2 1/2 years ago and after the insertion of the scope, I was fine. And they didn't even numb me. I probably had some irritation for a couple hours afterwards as I usually do with a pelvic exam. But, it really wasn't that serious.

Had mine a few days ago. I drove myself there, the numbing gel in the urethra stung a tiny bit, felt a little pressure when it was being administered. My doctor told me that my job was to take deep breaths, which I proceeded to do. After the 1st exhalation, she was in my bladder and all I felt was some pressure. Overall, as Mr. WareWolf mentioned below, the thought of having it done was the worse part. It really is a very simple procedure and if you're lucky to have a great doctor, there shouldn't be any pain. Oh, yeah, I drove myself back to work and had a normal day.

Just like you I was scared to death. And it amounted to zero pain. Just a touch of pressure as she said. Maybe for someone else with a different condition it was more difficult. But for most women it goes pretty smooth.

30 f Only commenting to balance out the horror stories' I read. This is a message to my past self -reading comments online the night before, panic attacking and crying because I thought i was going to be hurt and maimed lol. Luckily seeing this video calmed me down.
Had it done yesterday, and 30 hours later, I feel almost completely recovered like it never happened. My pain was about 2x jolts of 3-4 /10 pain during the super short procedure. 0 blood and 2-3/10 pain after peeing for the first time. This was comparable for me to a pap smear, was fortunately NOT a big deal. Most of the sensations were more in the realm of discomfort to me than pain.
You will be ok, it will very most likely not even be close to as bad as you are dreaming up. There is a huge selection bias for the small minority of people who had a terrible experience to come share online and reading comments will skew your perception of how "bad" this is. You are going to be alright, focus on you and how you can stay calm and not tense during this very, very common procedure. Also drinking lots of water to keep flushing the bladder and make infection less likely. you got this, Samantha is right you are going to be ok! I am so relieved it is over, but the mental anguish of not knowing was definately the worst part of it!

I took two normal antibiotics but the third antibiotic I ended up getting floxed by it and it didn’t help at all, so now I am seeing an urologist. I had a catheter put in last week, I only had it for 1or 2 minutes. It burned hours later whenever I peed but felt better by the end of the day. Guys, if its rigid cystoscopy, you are put under general anaesthesia and thats more painful for the next few days. If your cystoscopy its not called rigid, then yes its just local numbing and less or not at all painful afterwards. Also, if you have other health issues in the area like endometriosis for example, that will feel different than other ladies that are maybe healthier or stronger by nature , or younger, or just not as sensitive as you. Tbe threshold of pain is different from person to person. Also if you have hydrodistension together with your cystoscopy, that is taking longer and its more than a simple cystoscopy. Do your own research and read your hospital letter as it will tell you the exact details.

      Dear Suffering People!!!
I have found out why you get infections because of the use of catheters!!! And I have uploaded acouple of RUclips videos that you can view and see for yourself!!! I will tell you here the most important reason why my method of catheterization WORKS and will keep you from having all the problems that was mentioned in the above video!!!
While using the unmodified catheters your urine does not ever go down the urethra any more. The urine is restricted to flowing only down the tube of the catheter!!! You see when people can normally the pee goes down through the URETHRA and flushes out any bactera that has entered the urethra!!! So therefore no bactera left in the urethra NO INFECTIONS!!! PERIOD!!! SO THE CAUSE OF ALL INFECTIONS WHILE USING A INTERMITTENT CATHETER OR A FOLEY CATHETER IS BECAUSE OF THE DESIGN OF THE CATHETERS!!! I WILL SAY IT AGAIN!!! IN EITHER THE FOLEY OR THE INTERMITTENT CATHETERS THE PEE IS RESTRICTED TO GOING DOWN THE CATHETERS TUBE!!! AND THEREFORE THE BACTERIA THAT GETS INTO THE URETHRA JUST SITS IN YOUR URETHRA AND STARTS GROWING INTO AN INFECTION THAT CAUSES ALL KINDS OF PROBLEMS AS YOU HAVE SEEN IN THE ABOVE VODEO AND CAN EVEN KILL YOU!!!
So go to RUclips and type in (Larry Neiderhiser). This will take you to my RUclips CHANNEL where you will be able to view both videos about CATHETERS!!! AND MORE VIDEO INFROMATION ABOUT GUM DISEASE THATS KILLING TENS OF MILLIONS OF BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE EVERYDAY!!!
Hey all of you beautiful PEOPLE OUT THERE, I WANT YOU TO NEVER EVER, EVER GET ANOTHER CAVITY OR GET SICK OR DIE OF GUM DISEASE!!! GUM DISEASE IS WHATS ON MY MIND!!! I WANT TO STOP THE DENTIST AND DOCTOR'S CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY ALL AROUND THE WORLD!!!

I can tell you why you are getting repeated UTI.!!!
First to explain I will tell you about a friend of mine. We were living together and having oral sex!!! Every month or two she would get a UTI.. She got where it really hurt to pee.. And also we couldn't have sex for a couple of weeks every time she got infected!!! "DAM" not good!!! This went on for years and years!!! Her doctors never said a word about why she was getting UTI INFECTIONS over and over!!! At about the same time I had a severe case of gum disease and several second opinion dentist said that I needed all 2pf my teeth pulled because of this gum disease. I said no to them pulling all of my teeth!!! And was trying everything that I could think of to kill the deadly rotting BACTERIA that was rotting my teeth!!!
      1. My mouth and gums were full of gum disease bactera.
      2. When we had oral sex the deadly, stinking, puss producing gum disease bacteria was being transferred from my mouth to her uretha and then on up onto her blatter causing all of those UTI INFECTIONS!!!
So to cut to the chase!!! We were talking about her UTI INFECTIONS AND MY GUM DISEASE BLEEDING GUMS AND TEETH COMING OUT ALL BY THEM SELVES AND DECIDED THAT WE WERE NOT GOING TO HAVE ORAL SEX ANY LONGER THINKING THAT WHILE WE WERE HAVING ORAL SEX THAT IT MAY BE THE CAUSE AND WE WOULD AND SEE IF THE UTI WOULD STOP TO!!! AND SURE ENOUGH FROM THAT DAY ON SHE NEVER EVER HAD ANOTHER BLATTER INFECTION!!! So if you are having oral sex??? Check out your partner!!! Look for swolen bleeding gums!!! Missing teeth!!! Bad breath!!! Root Canals!!! Caps!!! Crowns!!! Bridges!!! Etc. He or she has gum disease!!!
So I have several RUclips videos that tell you all about GUM DISEASE AND HOW TO CURE YOUR SELF!!! Just get on RUclips and type in my name (Larry Neiderhiser)!!! This will get you to all of my videos names below and more.
No, you just think you have top dental care!!! If your top dental providers were the top of the line THEY WOULD FIRST THING CURE THE DEADLY, ROTTING, STINKING, SICKING, KILLING, GUM DISEASE BACTERIA THATS ROTTING OUT PEOPLES TEETH AND ENTERING (INFECTING) YOUR BODY FROM HEAD TO TOE THROUGH YOU GUMS AND MAKING YOU SICK AND THE EVENTUALLY KILLING YOU!!! YOU SEE IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE DEADLY, POOPING, STINKING, PUSS PRODUCING, LACTIC ACID PRODUCING, GUM DISEASE BACTERA YOU WOULDN'T NEED YOUR DENTIST!!! PERIOD!!! FREE OR NOT!!! GOT IT "PERIOD"!!! YOU SEE IF YOU ARE IN YOUR TOP DENTISTS OFFICE FOR EVEN "ONE" CAVITY YOU HAVE GUM DISEASE BACTERA PRODUCING (BACTERIA POOP, PUSS, LACTIC ACID!!!) THAT CAUSED THE CAVITY!!! SO CHECK IT OUT!!! IF YOU HAVE EVER HAD ONE CAVITY!!! ONE ROOT CANAL!!! ONE OF ANY DENTAL PROCEDURE YOU HAVE THE GUM DISEASE BACTERIA EATING AND POOPING "PUSS", "LACTIC ACID" THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM!!!
SO I HAVE GOT TO TELL YOU!!! EVEN YOUR TOP NOTCH DENTIST, EVEN IF (FREE)!!!! ARE KILLING YOU RIGHT NOW BY NOT CURING (KILLING) YOUR GUM DISEASE BACTERIA AND ALONE WITH BLESSINGS OF YOUR DENTIST IS GOING TO EVENTUALLY ROT OUT ALL OF YOUR TEETH AND MAKE YOU SICK AND FOR SURE, FOR SURE GOING TO KILL YOU!!
View my videos on RUclips and CURE YOUR GUM DISEASE YOURSELF!!! YOU WILL HAVE TO CURE IT YOUR SELF BECAUSE YOUR DENTIST IS DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO!!! BECAUSE YOUR ARE POTENTIALLY A MONEY BAG OF TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!!! EVEN IF IT IS FREE TO YOU THE YOUR TOP NOTCHED DENTIST IS MAKING TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS DOING UNESSARY DENTAL PROCEDURES DAILY!! "OUTRAGEOUS" THIS IS WHAT I CALL (CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY)!!! WHAT DO YOU CALL IT!!! WHEN YOUR DENTIST HAS YOU IN HIS CHAIR, AND IS PULLING ALL OF YOUR TEETH!!! YOUR RED BLOOD AND YOUR BLOODY TEETH FLYING OUT OF YOU MOUTH ONE AT A TIME ALL UNESSARY!!! HAVE YOU GOT IT "UNESSARYLY"!!!! AGAIN UNESSARYLY!!!
      NO GUM DISEASE BACTERIA!!!
      NO, BACTERA POOP!!!

@@dyedye408 The procedure itself wasn’t painful for me and was over in a matter of minutes. It was uncomfortable and I felt a sense of pressure but that’s all. Nothing was found which led them to believe the nerve endings in my bladder had become hypersensitive after the first bladder infection I ever had. They told me hypersensitivity goes away over time (can take months and months) and I was prescribed with Endep to take for nerve pain in the mean time. It was going to be trial and error and they had other options for me if symptoms didn’t go away. I literally felt a difference within two days of taking it and now, after not taking it for about two months, I’m completely normal!
While it was happening, I was constantly needing to urinate and even after immediately emptying my bladder I always had the sensation to urinate. I couldn’t get any relief and I would wake up during the night every hour or two busting to go. I was a wreck from lack of sleep and being in pain.
I only went through this for a few months and I can’t imagine going through it longer, so to anyone who is/has experienced something similar and has for years, you’re a bloody champion
