I see you do alot of reviews of various entry level/affordable moving heads and it has helped me and others im sure make smarter purchasing decisions. That said, i have a few requests. I would find it helpful it if you would review the sound operated mode and how functional each light is without using a DMX controller. Does the light actually move to the music. Can you get a good.light show from it without a DMX controler? Can you master slave it to other lights? Im sure im not alone when i say id rather put 2 to 4 lights in master/slave and let the internal mic do.its thing. So knowing what tllight work best in this way would help. Obviously you dont want to redo each video to add this topic but maybe you could do one video looking at the top 5 or 10 lights for use without a controller?
Finally, i would love to see a series on how to best us a controller. Ive messed with soundswitch but it seems complicated. Maybe you could do a series.on that. I also wonder if a physical controller like the Obey line would be easier. That said im not sure how to make a show with them.
The truth is lights nowadays have so many tricks and applications that i feel like you need to be a lighting engineer to maximize them. Maybe you can help make this less intimidating.
Anyway, thanks again for al the reviews.

I think you're right! A lot of people don't use DMX and want the see things in sound active mode. I've done that with my last couple of review videos. Thanks for the feedback!

Dmx is not that different from the old multiplex controllers, and even if you use sound active you should go through a controller and keep your manuals.

Pick it up. Now make your way to the kitchen, and open the trash can lid. 😂

Derby effect lights don’t need to be on a moving head as already have a high projection coverage

I love these, A spinning derby is a real neat effect with some heavy haze perfect for 20-40 people 60 if your lazy. Mine was $60 but has a beem instead of a laser.

@@DJDarylBennett like anything it takes a little effort. I mean you can have $500 moving heads and if you put them on auto your wasting your money. I will admit the auto and sound modes are definitely better on the expensive lights, but unless your on a cheap controller you shouldn’t be using them imho.

@@DJDarylBennett The one I liked had a beam instead of a laser. I just got one with a laser... the laser is disappointing, more disappointing is the board keeps resetting to dmx mode and the remote wont function. still for 60 bucks I might keep it see if I can convert to a duel beam, and run off an esp 32.

For the price it is very poor with terrible light output. Not even worth 50
