    Thanks for making this video. It’s so hard to find a video about RAW feeding that don’t include rice as part of the mix. We don’t do rice at home. The only switch or addition I would make is to add a little homemade bone broth. Keep making these videos it helps folks.

      Thanks for the encouragement! The addition of bone broth is a good idea as well! 🤤

    So i have a 20 WK old. He's ready for this? I'll do it. I just wanted you to know that i saw the kraut. Kraut with protein....kills the protein due to acidity. Same way with us. Vinegar should not be used around concentrared proteins. Simple proteins are ok. Beans...etc. great video! Just wanted to enhance it

    Hi, new subbie here. Glad I found your channel... ^^ Just an idea for your youtube channel, maybe you could do a video on each recipe, just like how we look for cooking recipe for our day to day foods. Maybe it'd be really really helpful for all of the pet owners out there. I believe it'd really be helpful. I myself am interested of the food bowls you've shown in this video, like detailed recipe on what to serve on one bowl, and how many times do your dog eat per day? Thank you so much! Hope you'll consider my thoughts, and hope your channel grows, as it deserves way more of views. :)

    Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! I’ve been wanting to feed my pup a raw diet since I got him but all the premade raw diets are just soo expensive. I’m really happy you shared mypetcarnivore’s website! Tysm!
    Could you please share your veggie recipe (the blend&freeze one) and the daily supplements (and their amount) you feed Cooper? Also, how did you conclude the amount of tripe to feed Cooper? Sorry for so many questions!
    Thanks again!

    This was super helpful! I did have one question. Is feeding garlic okay?

    • @CoopertheHappyCorgiHD
      @CoopertheHappyCorgiHD  3 года назад +2

      Thank you! And yes, small amount of garlic is helpful to repel mosquitos, ticks and fleas. There’s a lot of literature on this, so you can look it up. You can also find out what “small” amount is acceptable depending on the size of your dog 🐶 Hope that helps! Thanks again for watching 💕

    I'll be getting a corgi in about 4 weeks, so I'm curious. How much does it cost to feed him raw?

    I have a Schipperke I want to transition over to a raw diet. He is 20 pounds which is big for a Schipp but he is on the larger size so I would say 18 to 20 pounds. He needs to loose a little weight too! I was having trouble finding raw food diets for smaller dogs. My calculations for a 20# dog (2% of body weight) comes up to 6 oz/day or 3 oz per meal (85 grams). It seems like you are giving Cooper more than that. Do you weigh it out and if so, how much are you giving him by weight?

    • @CoopertheHappyCorgiHD
      @CoopertheHappyCorgiHD  4 года назад +2

      We do weigh Cooper’s food but not as much as in the beginning. He gets about 12 oz a day or 6 oz per meal. The 2-3% rule is really just to get you started and then you can make adjustments as you continue because every dog’s situation is different. Maintaining the weight depends a lot on what is being fed, snacks/treats throughout the day, as well as activity level.
      It sounds like you are on the right track for starting a raw diet for your dog. Just jump right in and make adjustments along the way that suits your dog’s situation. Good luck!

    Hi there!, Can you make a video about raw food that does not have chicken? And without the tripe. Tripe, goat, lamb isn't available and my dog is allergic to chicken.
    I have the following meats
    Duck
    Whole Dressed Quail
    Mutton
    Sardines
    How can i formulate a balanced meal? For my dog?

    Dont you worry about bones splinting or him choking on bones? Thats why I dont feed my dog bones, but I want her to have natural food, but I want her to eat safe.

    • @CoopertheHappyCorgiHD
      @CoopertheHappyCorgiHD  4 года назад +4

      Man Guy Raw meaty bones like chicken leg, duck neck etc. won’t splinter because they’re not cooked. The cooking process is what makes the bones dangerous to feed. You can learn more here:

    I thought garlic is considered toxic to dogs?

    • @CoopertheHappyCorgiHD
      @CoopertheHappyCorgiHD  4 года назад +3

      Large amounts - yes. Small amount, like what we feed Cooper, is helpful to deter ticks and fleas.

    Wolves don’t eat supplements the raw meat is more than enough no need to add supplements wen feeding raw keep it natural and simple and garlic is horrible for a dogs health

    • @CoopertheHappyCorgiHD
      @CoopertheHappyCorgiHD  4 года назад +2

      Don’t know what you mean by “supplements”, but in the wild, wolves have also been known to eat berries and other plant matter. There’s a lot of scientific literature on this (as noted in the video), so feel free to read about it. Same for garlic- as long as it’s eaten in the appropriate amount, it could be a great health benefit, particularly as repellant to fleas and ticks. Again, lots of scientific literature on this.
