I recruited the help of someone who knows Cantonese, but some of it is still unsubbed because she couldn’t understand Roi’s Cantonese lmao. I looked for the video that Samael was talking about and attached it to the end

※ I have no idea if it's common knowledge that Cantonese is a Chinese dialect, but Cantonese is the second most commonly spoken Chinese dialect behind Mandarin (although the margin is massive). It’s primarily spoken by people from the Guangdong province or Hong Kong; Leslie Cheung was a Hong Kong-Canadian singer/actor, so that's why Samael proposed he use Cantonese.

VirtuaReal is a NIJISANJI and Bilibili collaboration. They're technically a NIJISANJI branch, but to my understanding they mostly operate independently.

I wish I got to know Samael sooner :< It's really sad that he just graduated.
I know a bit more Canto than Mandarin, but I can't guarantee that I am 100% correct on what I heard.
In the clip Roi sounded like he struggled to say "I am not sure if my Cantonese is that good enough for you to understand." and "I am not sure why my Cantonese is not as good as yours."
Also the clip in the end said:
"Wahhh this place is so pretty, but it's so crowded. Why is it this crowded?"
"No shi*, 2 people sitting in 1 space" (referring to 2 groups of people sitting in 1 car)
"Wahh it really crowded thooo. Hey, how come this place is so crowded, sir?"
"You mofu*cker (to me it just sounds like "bruh" but my parents said that it's a cuss word, lmao) this is India"

Hm not quite sure. Maybe he doesn’t use it very often, but there are some words that sound closer to a mainland accent. His delivery of Leslies lines was phenomenal though.
