How long does it take for you to prep the machin for the first shot? I have pid installed gaggia classic. It takes 20min at least. Empty flushes 4-5 times aswell. What is your prering for first time shot process?

I have the PID set on 94C but when I measure the temperature straight out of the shower I measure 72C. How is this possible?

Are you letting the machine warm for 15 mins and are you using a professional measurement setup

@TheHomeBaristas yes minimum 15 minutes. No professional measurement tools. I know you can't just measure the outcome of the shower. It's not the boiler temperature. But I've read that there is a marge of max 8 C. So when the PID shows 101, the measurement out of the shower must be around 93 C. I have a difference more then 20 C, that's not good.

@@randykalkwarf I think the inaccuracy may be down to your measuring equipment. Also have you not created an offset in the setting of minus 8?

does this works for the first setting or is it any different configuration or extra step I need to do if I just install the PID?

You need to set the pid up initially on menu 0089, menu 0036

Could you help me. My PID just says Error EEEE. Have you any suggestion what is wrong? Thank you already

usually this is down to the thermocouple (the wire that goes into your boiler to measure temp), check the connections at the back of the PID as this could be the issue. It could also be the PID is faulty

Thabk you so much. It worked finally. The issue was i used a KType Thermo and I had to set this kind in the PID. But just another Question 😊 What Offset donyou use in ald old Gaggia Classic fron 98? Thank you already. Best wishes☀️
