My foot is the same size and similar shape to Noah’s and I picked these up a about 2 weeks ago and the first training session with them I had a slight hotspots on my right foot on the outside But after a couple hours the upper softened up just fine and they felt great. I tried the speed portals last year in the same size and they just never broke in. This upper is much better and the material will actually get soft.
Hi mate! Unfortunately the shoe stretcher isn't online anymore (the one I used), but you can find one here: amzn.to/3J86n03 No one month review mate, as the boot doesn't fit me well
can't deal with the toe box style on the .1s, specifically the area near the tip... it's v raised, weirdly shaped/contoured, and quite stiff. Love the crazyfast+ but there's not much stability and they don't feel as secure as mercs, so usually end up playing in mercs for intense matches. Too many ankle sprains over the years to use the crazyfast+ as much as Id'd like
What is the difference between these and the laceless model, they look identical in construction except for the backing on the laces but I have seen multiple reviews prefer the laceless model.
Hey Noah! An unrelated question, when is it time u realised u should stop using a pair of boots? Is it when there is a major sole separation or broken studs? Thanks!
I would say a rule for me is: If something has happened to the boot in any way that impairs the performance of the boot at all, that's when I stop playing in them. Even a boot in good condition that's been broken in SO much that they're too loose falls in that category
would you say going for the copa pure.1 is better than these? i’m switching from the speedflows finally as i bought an extra pair at the time for when my other pair broke down
I bought the crazyfast+ version, and I loved them - really took me back to the old f50s. However the durability of the + version were awful. The laceholes ripped in 4 places, and the upper tore only after 2 months…dont think theyre worth the prizetag
I have similar feet to noah as well and at first when i put them on they were killing my feet however i hoped breaking them in would be better and that was exactly the outcome, hoping u love the boots noah
I was just thinking arent the carzyfast + to extreme. Like if your playing on SG and get stepped on you can seriously injure yourself or are they not that thin compared to other boots?
Why do you wear FG boots on a AG pitch? It can be very dangerous. Btw, do you look for the opponents and your teammates first before receiving the ball or do you look for the spaces? What is the first thing that comes to your mind? Any advice?
do you think fg are good for artificial grass ? or ag will better ? I’m playing until winter on artificial grass, but after on firm ground. and I found that only difference between fg and ag it’s only one more stud in ag model. what can you recommend to me ?
The only reason why I will spent money on these is purely cuz the crazyfast+ price is just high. Seeing all the reviews I feel I’m more into the crazyfast+ given I rather have the good old U throat tongue over one piece uppers. May buy the crazyfast.1 a little later when it’s on sale. The speedportal.1 which has broken in well after a few weeks with the upper getting just really threw me off especially at the heel and the midfoot. Do think these are an improvement which let’s face it any boots are given how quite nearly old schooled the x speedportals were
i have copa pure and crazyfast.3 ,. copa lil bit above the crazfast, predator acelarator was the beast ,,top of any adidas boots, need speed choose crazyfast than tiempo for sure
I tried these on in-store in my usual size 9. Everything fit great except where my foot is the widest which is the middle of my foot underneath my toes. It cramped like crazy. My general rule of thumb is if it doesn’t fit right outside the box, it will most likely not fit later.
I'm a bit annoyed with the statement of yours about GX being wider than these. I have super wide feet and wide toe area and for me Xs fit almost perfect straight out of the box, GX on the other hand look extremely pointy (they look hillarious, like formal shoes). They look even slimmer than vapors :/
Respectfully mate, if you haven't actually tried both boots on, OR played extensively in them, it makes no sense to try and argue about it 🤝 The toe box of the GX is a bit pointy, but my comment stands. The GX is generally a wider fitting boot than the X. You wouldn't know that though because you haven't actually tried them both.
Hello, i just got the nb 442 v2, and they are pretty good so far, but the upper kinda press againts my big toe, and creares some discomfort, will it stretch kinda height-wise? If u know what i mean
Adidas speed boots have been hit or miss for me these past few years. Even on the ones I liked there was always two or three things I wished was different. Now with the Crazyfast+ I like the concept and execution. They are paper thin and fit me pretty well. After the first few wears they really get better, I found them a little tight in the forefoot at first. But $300 USD is a lot of money for one of those. I find myself retroactively trying to justify the high asking price even though I’ve already had them for a few weeks now. From my point of view the $260 Crazyfast.1 is bit of a hard sale. A Furon v7 Pro or an Alpha Elite are significantly less expensive. And of course the Vapor 15 Elite it’s main competitor in the market, not so much for being slightly more affordable. More so because it’s Nike, and the Mercurial has been the most popular, successful silo for more then a decade. But I guess the Crazyfast does have one thing over these three. And that is it’s the rawest most barefoot feel. The NB, the Mizuno and the Nike have thin uppers to but they do have some softness to varying degrees and a subtle bit of padding to them to some of the edge off. If one was a fan of the earlier F50 Adizeros with the old Sprintskin synthetic then the X Crazyfast generation might be up your ally. Paper thin synthetic with a plasticky charm. The laced .1 I definitely wouldn’t mind, but I would probably only pick one up if it was on sale or something.
I have this .1 fg boot and the turf version as well. The toe box almost made me want to go half a size down but the rest of the boot fit great. Half size down toe was good but boot felt almost too tight on sides and feared it may not break in so went with my normal size 8 in both. Being known for my agility and quickness I can say this boot delivers in grip. The extra space in toe box helps toes move freely and slide just enough without losing the locked in feeling in the heel and arch. My only gripe would be the extra fabric in heel. Although the heel padding is comfortable I felt it kind of irritated my achilles (would probably be blisters back in day) and havent had that happen before. It got better after breaking them in a few games but it does push on it pretty tight and the aggressive nature of the frame probably doesn't help. I've been wearing predators for the the last 10 years and this boot almost reminds me of the F50. If adidas did a leather upper version of this .1 boot I would buy 2 more pairs!
Interesting review. So, I imagine having a wider foot definitely seems to make a difference because I have a medium to narrow foot and they fit pretty well. Agreed they are far better than the Speedportal.
@@NoahCavanaugh That's frustrating especially since they seem to have made work on the Speedflow and then just, threw everything away and started over.
Me personally I felt like the adidas speedportal.1 was one of my top 3 boots. With the mercurial vapor 14 as my favourite. (I have a narrow foot). Even though the mercurial vapor 15 fit me pretty well and was preferrably more comfortable, I still choose the speedportal.1 for games any day of the week. The durability of the upper is great which is one of if not the best traits of the speedportal with the mercurials upper being less durable. Even though the speedportal.1 has sole seperation issues I would much rather have a sole seperation which is fixable than a upper that rips which is unfixable.
I think the .1 crazyfast will be even more popular with pros and consumers. It has a more modern feel with the 1 peice upper and the upper offer more lockdown then the plus varient and more durability. This is Cleary visible with most professionals during preseason games now are using the .1 version. Interms of the shape, I actually love the shape because they fit my foot shape better than the plus varient. These boots are greta for those with larger big toes who complain of pressure with low toe boxed boots like the gx, and I am one of those guys 😅 the Nike gx for me is literally unbearable because of the low toe box. So these I think will be great. Also unpopular opnion these are better than speedflows, they are more durable, offer more lockdown, and better heal comfort and stability. As always great video 👏
@@Zaxstar007 **they appear more durable based on the more structured upper. The speedlows had many pros with torn uppers because the feature that made it so special which is how soft and pliable the upper was, also was its biggest flaw.
