It’s been over 20 yrs since I had a wedding to attend, and I have until this fall 2023 to find something, but I had no idea where to even start. Please continue your over 60 series focusing on various “event” type dressing. It’s VERY helpful. Now to the video!! You’re a life saver, and you have yourself a new sub! 👍😊🇨🇦

I did get that one off the Rachel Zoe website last year, but Anthropologie has some beautiful cocktail or evening wear dresses. They are a bit pricey, but if you look through them, you can usually find some that are reasonably priced!
So happy to hear you giving credit to QVC. What do we think about a white linen blazer over a knee length dress? The top is drop-waist, sleeveless, navy. The skirt is 360’ full cut with cursive white over navy abstract flowers. The wedding is at 4:30 in an event space. Northern Va. My ideal would be a navy tie front sweater, but am having a hard time finding one in a substantial fabric.
don't wear white to a wedding; that's a no no! LOL but a black blazer would be great! I just brought a long black blazer to my daughter's wedding to put over my dress at the end of the night when it got cold! Check out Dennis Basso on QVC to see if he has any blazers or light coats. Have fun at your event!
watching your video for the first time, you are seasoned when it comes to putting it together but I wished you would have talked over the viewing of your outfits, i could have used a longer look at the outfit you were talking about
I always love sparkles and sequins! LOL I would ask if this is a wedding at a dressier reception hall, beach venue, or mountainside? The location is key, but there are always exceptions. Also, did the invite say "cocktail or black tie" attire or is it more casual? 3pm is going into evening, so it would be perfectly fine to wear something dressier if the venue calls for it. Sounds like fun!
@@phylismantelli Thank you so much for replying! No dress code was announced in the invite, is that weird? And we will not be attending the reception, only the wedding in church. LOL, I think I answered my own question just now. No sequins. Is that what you're thinking too?

Thanks for watching! I personally never wear tights anywhere anymore! I absolutely self tan and Westmore Beauty (you can get this on QVC or probably @ Sephora) has a body makeup cream that is so good! It is waterproof and you can put it on your legs, arms, chest anywhere skin is showing and it will make you look flawless. Have fun at the upcoming wedding and look fabulous!

What to wear if not dress. My body shape and short torso and short in general doesn’t allow me to wear dress
a nice pair of black pants and a sparkly or elegant blouse works well! Also, accessories with nice jewelry helps!
