The shoes are not “kitten heels”, they are full high heels.
That's what I thought also. Just too high for kitten heels! I'm surprised she made that mistake.
You are right. They are NOT kitten heels. If you are over 60, just FORGET wearing high heels. If you have ever had a fall, you will know why I am saying this.

Lost me with the first set of photos - THOSE are NOT kitten heels BY a long shot. They are stileto heels and for many over 60 a potential danger.
Between the fact that my mother was a seamstress and I learned from an early age what the various types of fabric were and my love of fashion and the fact that I have an almost obsessive interest in knowing the various types of clothing features that classify an item in certain fashion/style categories, a well as my daughter spending 12 years in shoe sales, I became educated about the features of shoes and how they are categorized; when so called fashion “experts” are so obviously and emphatically incorrect, it really bothers me. I feel that if you are going to claim to be an expert that it is incumbent upon you to know what you are talking about. You need to study to know what the various fabrics are, what the various clothing features are, as well as what the proper terminology in those areas are to be able to properly guide anyone in being able to curate their style and build their wardrobe. Sadly, some experts don’t have any idea just how much they don’t have a clue about. They are just out there spreading incorrect information to anyone who will listen.
It’s true. I gained weight and just automatically ordered oversized tops and pants. Swimming in my clothing. I took the time to try on different sizes and styles and am looking and feeling better. 60 has been a new era for me.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for using real-size women of a certain age. It's hard to take seriously some of the fashion influencers for older women than only show beautiful thin models. Not realistic.
I agree! Not only of a certain age, but models with real figures, not skinny clothes hangers. I never realized that my white shirt would be considered too long, but now I see the difference. I'll have it taken up.
Those aren't kitten heels, they're high heels. I value my mobility far too much ever to go back to shoes that aren't comfortable to walk in. My compromise is sneakers or flats that match my pants, or shoes or sandals close on colour to my skin when I'm wearing a skirt.

Kitten heels yes they're now better than stilettos for over 60s,well for me anyway. But you're not showing kitten heels,they are stilettos and very,very sa dly I can't wear stilettos anymore 😢😢 I used to live in stilettos.😅

I used to love high heels, but plantar fasciitis has taken most of the really cute shoes off the table for me, except for in very, very small doses.

Who cares? Wear what makes you feel comfortable and is practical.
I did gain way too much weight during the pandemic, my problem is two-fold, extremely pear-shaped and trying to find someone who will tailor my clothes, since I am not a sewist!
I tuck in all my tops, or wear waist-length ones (as I’m petite, “cropped” tops often end there on me). The best thing I ever did for my style was to ditch those long, untucked shirts and tunic tops. Not only do they ruin the proportions, they’re 30 years out of style. Longer tops are trending again, but they’re fitted and usually open from hem to waist. I always show my waist, such as it is, it’s not as defined as it used to be, at age 64, even though I weigh exactly what I did on my wedding day 40 years ago.
I love the look of heels, but I've long had nerve problems with my feet and absolutely can not wear them. I'd love to see some "chunky" shoes with high arch support. Or some other options? (If my feet have to be frumpy, then so be it.)
I don’t think any of the heels you called kitten heels were actually kitten heels. Most were too high and some completely the wrong shape.
If you are five foot and can't wear heels of any kind due to arthritis what shoe works apart from trainer
Ballet flats, Chelsea boots, funky platforms like those from Birkie or Ugg.

Some ladies over 40 or more that have damage through life MUST wear lower heels Chose garments and footwear for those ladies. I live in a condo and many of the ladies for whatever reason can't wear heels. We are not frumpy but sure footed.
You show many different heel styles and call them kitten heels, but none of them are. Kitten heels are low to mid curved heels, look at some images of them. It would be good to learn proper style terms if you are going to make style videos.
I am right on the edge of medium petite and medium. If I buy what fits and wash it according to directions then the clothing shrinks I am wearing clothes too tight. So I am in a bind , buying clothes a bit too loose to stay in budget.
btw folks , unless you are a size 0 to size 3 do not wear low rider thongs. you dont see it, but we do.
With all due respect, pointed shoes create foot problems, as do heels and city cement walking.

fyi: my neighbor always wore the pointy heels and had to have her great toe removed so wear pointy with caution, many of us have worn heels 10 hour a day for 5 days a week for years idgaf how popular pointy heels are i will not wear them, ever. and im a size 8..that would look horrible on me

I can’t see how pointed shoes do anything but make the foot look bigger., not the leg longer. They look painful.
I agree, I have a classic body type so anything extreme, like a pointed shoe feels separate from me. I much prefer an almond toe shoe. It does look good on many people though, I think it depends on body type.
You can tell the difference if you put a pointed toe shoe on one foot and round or square toe shoe on the other foot…look in full length mirror.
Pointed toe shoes ARE painful. If your feet are ‘elegant’ but you’re in pain, the whole outfit suffers (and so do you!)

You don’t need clothes to make you classy or not. You have either got class or not it’s not the clothes it’s the confidence inside the clothes

To me. It’s ok if you’ve only put of couple kilos to still wear fitting clothes. But if you’ve put on 15 kilos and you don’t have any waist and very thick set legs. It is more flattering to wear trousers and tops that don’t accentuate your shape. So these rules are very good for a person that is not carrying too much weight.
Where I live, kitten heels wouldn't last 2 hours. Cobblestones. 😢
