If you see closely between the power and speaker terminals it says “powered by maxxsonics “ . I don’t know when they took over. But ever since they took over, you hear rumors about mb quart , hifonics ,autotek and crunch that they are not the same quality amps anymore . But in my opinion they just ok, Ian’s I think putting videos out like this one it will help people understand what there amps are actually capable of. 👍
I agree. I have lots of old school PPI, Planet Auido, Lanzar, Linear Power, Zapco, Fosgate, Kicker, Autotek, HiFonics, and Orion amps . Some of the brands mentioned aren't what they used to be.
I've personally seen those do 2800 I'd agree the input filtering caps look like they are barely working and about to burst if ur replacing those might as well replace the rail voltage caps too and id raise the voltage in the cap since theres no degradation in doing that it just makes them run easier there's plenty of outputs and that power supply can support 3k RMS I know on a few that use this layout

Itll make the power with a full recap job.

Let’s call it a 1600 instead of 2600 and wallah🎉now it’s a great Amp👍
Where are you running for a DC supply
I don’t understand
@@bdaudio9395 I think he wants to know how you supply power for the tests
Ok so
If you watch the returning video I explain it
But
I have 4 banks of planano ltos a 10a 30v power supply and a 60a taramps power supply
It’s got bulging power supply caps
Yes, it sure does
