Great video Jeremy, thanks for taking the time to put it together. You are correct that the scale of the full size real race cars are 5/8ths. The scale of the slot model is actually just about 1/30 of the 5/8ths size. When I first designed these at 1/32 scale they were just too small and light and not enough mass to get reasonable traction. I figured that the likelyhood would be that they would be raced as a 'Legends' class so upping the scale to 1/30 would not matter so much.

I've got two, only just started running them they are so much fun, I'll definitely be getting some more. My video should be out Saturday 10th ... if I can stop playing with the Legends long enough to finish editing the video together :)

Cool cars I run scalectric ARC analogue. Two lanes, two cars for pit stops. Just ordered two legends. I have two nascars by carrera older 70s Ford, and a dodge I run. Two newer nascars with my set, three 24hr cars, two start f1 cars to run them all in pairs, different classes.

Great offerings from Pioneer. Have been out for years now. I've got about 6, including one built from a kit. Custom built my way and very fast.

Awesome video! I'm already up to 8 of these little guys Lol! Maybe it's just me, but I always have a little difficulty in getting the Carson chip into a Pioneer car. It's never been a simple pop-right-in. The "door" always seems to catch on one of the sides on its way in, and I'm always afraid I'm going to break the sensor (which unfortunately is placed right at the edge), and it takes a few minutes of fiddling around to find the correct angle to get it in there. Have you experienced any of this? No trouble getting them in Scalextric, just the Pioneers.
Its been a while since i chipped these, now that you mention it i remember trimming the chassis opening tabs off
@garage_of_slotcars OK thank you. Nobody ever mentions this, and I thought I was somehow doing something wrong or missing an easy way to insert them. Lol

Great video, keep up the great work. I have a question? How did you get the cars with the Carson chip to run in ghost mod. I have several and can not get the ghost mod to work.
I cant either, I had all 5 cars hooked through one controller. Slotr channel is making a video Wednesday on how to make a carson chip work with ghost mode

Cool little short track oval cars, but aren't you on the wrong side of the pond to be driving clockwise around a race track?

I wish Pioneer didnt screw their cars down as it bends the chassis. I now have a bent chassis which I find completely unacceptable, hopefully they have changed this.
Never ran mine but have seen them raced at my club, good fun but not very fast. Front axle is also too sloppy, however overall the quality is fairly good and detail exceptional.

realy??? cool yes fun yes, good ? not realy to big hole in bushings(sloppy axle movement) horrible guide(lots of youtube videos how to fix) like carrera, fly and scalextric they can be made ok if you throw money on them for better parts. but as usual its cheaper to buy a quality product like NSR, sloting plus etc- and a lot faster. a non magnet NSR in stock form outruns our pioner with magnets in place.
