Thank you so much for this video . I was second guessing myself that I invested in the wrong brand . I choose Carrerra but I find I like the Scaletric car offerings over the Carrerra selections . So , I very much appreciate what you showed regarding the conversion. Any tips on how to improve the contact connections ? My brushes seem to have many dead spots around the track . Also , keeping the track clean ? Any help would be appreciated, Any suggested links to RUclips posts . Thanks !

Nice list. Just picked up the RSR recently and it is a great car. Along with a McLaren, Mercedes AMG, and an Audi R8 on the way today. Those 917's really destroyed the Can-Am racing of the 70's. I've got two topless 917's and the 917k from the same era. Including 3 McClarens and two Lolo T222's. The Lola T222's are some of the sexiest road machines, only beaten out by the Maseratis' that Carrera released in 2007-2008. Unfortunately I passed up on one and now they're up about 150 dollars. Got to love this hobby though. All these incredible licenced vehicles are amazing. This year I'm concentrating on GT3 and DTM. I go through spurts every few years. And yes, I definitely have a Chevy Bel Air along with the Plymouth Fury ( Christine ? ) in stock colors. The change to digital was fantastic and a game changer. The ability to have children race without them flying off the track is amazing. I use the speed settings all the time actually. Keeps the cars at a little more realistic speed for scale and also protects the cars.

realy??? cool yes fun yes, good ? not realy to big hole in bushings(sloppy axle movement) horrible guide(lots of youtube videos how to fix) like carrera, fly and scalextric they can be made ok if you throw money on them for better parts. but as usual its cheaper to buy a quality product like NSR, sloting plus etc- and a lot faster. a non magnet NSR in stock form outruns our pioner with magnets in place.

Hi Jeremy, thank you on behalf of my grand-kids (and me) for taking the time to detail the parts needed for your layout. I think, as you have done before I believe, that this upload should be restricted to "Mature Audiences" only as it can and will be very addictive. Peace be with you, Ciao, L (Veteran grand-father).

If you buy the Autorehnnbahnplaner software, it will give you the ability to design the track and have it fit properly, using 1/3rd and 1/4 straights if they are needed. The software is designed for all of the Carrera track systems and is a brilliant piece of software in my opinion.

I have a couple scalextric cars that I put the chip in. It’s older dale jr national guard #88 car and #5 flakes car. They barely run on my carerra track run like shit. Maybe bad old motor ?

Hi "Garage of Slotcars", track-wise, what set(s)/box(es) did you use to build your 54~56 foot layout? I mean, what do I need to buy (component list) to build such a layout aside from the cars? Thank you for taking the time and effort to "(re-)educate" an older generation and to initiate a younger generation to genuine vintage "wholesome" hobbies we (elders) grew up with (slot cars, train sets, construction sets, ...). Cool cars I run scalectric ARC analogue. Two lanes, two cars for pit stops. Just ordered two legends. I have two nascars by carrera older 70s Ford, and a dodge I run. Two newer nascars with my set, three 24hr cars, two start f1 cars to run them all in pairs, different classes.
