I've been out of church for awhile but Abba was kind enough to put me in community of people who loves Him in Spirit and Truth. I've learned going to church doesn't make you holy but being sensitive to the guidance of Holy Spirit and willing to submit to His will does. My last pastor actually kicked me out of the church bc I questioned his interpretation of scripture which was about money when it really was about using our gifts that were inherited by Holy Spirit to harvest more souls. I remember Holy Spirit asking me was church my god or was it He? That was the beginning of seeing who Jesus was for myself with help of Holy Spirit. I was raised in church with minister mom and deacon dad who was bond by religion and now I'm able to see how important it is to have my personal relationship with Christ with or without a church.
This video was a tough pill to swallow. Fortunately leaving past churches due to “Church Hurt” has brought me to an amazing church in my community. However, I have learned that the church is the people, and not the building we corporately gather in. I have to learn to not run away from my problems but rather face them head on. The pastor at my home church taught me that the issues I had at the previous churches were people problems and not church problems. I have to learn to separate the two. I’m still struggling with forgiveness but I thank you for this video! ❤
Yes sister there is grace. As long as you are willing to truly push forward and work alongside Jesus with dealing with these issues you will have so much victory. I’m proud of you. Praise the Lord ❤

Whoa what a word!!! Ever since I’ve been trying to take my relationship with God seriously, I was church hopping until I settled in a church I’m currently attending. I believe the Holy Spirit led me back to the church because I was getting food one day and a member in the same restaurant just briefly spoke with me and encouraged me to come back then days later my mom told me to give it a try again out of nowhere in a conversation. I’ll continue to pray for the Holy Spirit to release the spirit of discernment on me for many more decisions!
I love your take on this topic. Yes, there are some people who are cruel in church. Nevertheless, a lot of time people toss the church under the bus for speaking simply the word of God. Maybe it could have been said differently, but is it the truth?
Hi Sis Malissa. Thank You for this video. I honestly do not know where “Church hurt” can from but people can be hurt in Church. I know that I am not saved. I got Baptized but I wasn’t saved. I feel like being saved you have to really know what you’re doing. Knowing what Baptism symbolizes and what it really means to be saved. This is something that I struggle with. Any advice where to start? Be Blessed Sis !

What if the pastor is allowing members to host events playing secular music and doing events like sip and paint. What if the pastors are just allowing people to be in leadership! What if the youth leader is seducing a woman telling them how they like certain sexual positions. Should I leave a ministry like that! Love this video by the way! I was convicted!
Girl yes get out of there lol. And definitely pray and ask the Lord to lead you to where He wants you to be. We often find ourselves in those types of churches by seeking a church for ourselves and not being led by God on where He wants us to go. So yes get out of there
