- I had a gentleman named Ali ask "Have you ever tried to wax with exfoliation vs without exfoliation? For example, one leg with exfoliation and one without to see the result." What a great question! While I have not had the same customer try exfoliating one leg and not the other to see what would happen, but I have experienced this in general! I always have customers that will not exfoliate in-between waxing appointments no matter how much I beg them. I also have customers who always exfoliate in-between waxing appointments! Because of this, it is very easy to tell the difference between the waxing sessions due to how the hair responds. My customers who don't want to exfoliate will have more issues with the hair not poking through the skin correctly and having access dead skin on top. While my customers who always exfoliate will have perfect waxes and don't have to deal with ingrown hairs or the hair not coming out! Exfoliating is SO important when waxing since the hair gets softer and finer. This makes it hard to push through the skin, resulting in an ingrown hair. Regularly exfoliating eliminates this issue drastically!

I’m obsessed 🤩 I despise my body hair and I’ve tried everything except hard waxing. I tried soft waxing about 10 years ago at home. Bought the whole Gigi kit. Made such a mess every time with those strips that I eventually threw it all away. Have you tried using PFB Vanish? It has worked wonders with my clients that are prone to ingrown hairs. Using PFB and exfoliating regularly should help! I would get one of those exfoliating gloves at the store. Use that in the shower with a quality scrub! I use Hylunia's Grape Seed Body Scrub.

Maybe you already do but carrying exfoliating mits and shower pads and scrubs and selling them might help the clients that don't exfoliate and also upsell!

I suggest my clients exfoliate a couple times a week and the day before waxing!

Hi, thanks for the info. I hard waxed my pubic area (I'm a guy). How long before the hair starts to grow back? Should I be exfoliating 24-48 hrs after waxing or wait a week or two for when the hair starts to grow? Otherwise, I can be scrubbing down there while no hair is growing yet. Or does hair start to grow at the root right after waxing? Thanks
Why are you waxing down there in the first place if you’re a guy. Just use an electric shaver.

I saw one of your videos where PFB vanish with chromabright was recommended. I found it on Amazon and read the reviews. Several of the reviews recommend using a moisturizer after applying the pfb because of the skin peeling afterwards.
What moisturizer is safe to use that won’t clog the pores?

Can you wax over skin tags? I feel like you can’t just like you can’t wax over moles with hair. I could be wrong.
I’ve waxed over a mole of mine, as it didn’t have any hair growing from it. I would imagine the same applies to skin tags, as long as they’re not literally hanging on by a thread. Hard wax does not adhere to the skin like soft wax does, so there is much less risk of injury to the skin, including skin tags.
I used soft lemon wax... I always have problem of Ingrown hair.. I don't know what should I do?
I would recommend using hard wax! Never liked soft wax.

Yes, and it could be the type of wax being used on them (hard wax or soft wax) or from having sensitive skin!

Which of the starpil wax would you recommend? I see the original and the polymer blend but is the original pretty good even though it is cheaper?
They are both amazing! I personally use the blue more but that's just my preference.
Do you ever exfoliate your client prior to service? I often think about it since I do exfoliate my clients sometimes before makeup application.
That would take too long, but I've definitely wanted to at times!
With exfoliating the only drawback is your tan is exfoliated too :(

How to Exfoliate??
Hello! I recommend something with beads to use in the shower (I love Hylunia's Grape Seed Body Scrub since there is no artificial ingredients or fillers). Using an exfoliating glove works wonders as well! I also love PFB Vanish to use in-between waxes which helps the hair push through the skin. Hope that helps!
