I think your car feels loose in the back with the rigid front strut bar installed because the front suspension is now working optimally. The rear suspension inner pick-up points are flexing enough to be felt now. Bracing the rear would help balance the front and rear together with a more rigid chassis to start from. Now if it oversteers, you would probably benefit from a stiffer front sway bar. Hopefully an adjustable stiffer bar to "tune" your under steer/over steer. (Anti) sway bars work the opposite of what you might think. Just some thoughts.
Looks nice. Your "4x4" ride height is fine. Lca/half-shaft angle should be more important than tire-fender gap...however, sheeple go for low/looks first and put handling/performance 2nd or 3rd when they (over) lower their cars...car looks fine and no one is the wiser when they see it; because it just looks stock. Most of the performance parts I've done can't be seen, but I know they are there....
I recently saw some japanese videos about the STI flexible strut tower bar and could not understand why the middle part of the bar was rubber. I think you made a wise choice choosing the one solid piece AEM strut tower bar. are you going to get the rear bars (inside the trunk) too ?
Good point! Yes, I don’t get the flexible bars either. I’ve heard you don’t notice the rear strut bars as much as the front so as of now, I don’t have plans for the rear but that could change!
Awsome video, just purchased mine. What did you torque the 12mm nuts to and where did you find that information? Im seeing 14.5 ftlbs but that doesn't seem like enough.
This strut tower brace to me is a no brainier due to no moving parts and being one piece. I’m about to order one. If only they made a lightweight titanium version.
I 100% agree which is why I chose this one! You’ll definitely notice a difference with it! I also got the Beatrush rear strut bar which conceals perfectly under the trunk carpet and doesn’t stick up like the competitors do. Feel free to check out my unboxing video of it and I have some clips of it installed at the end 👍🏼
I’ve installed front and rear. Improved in steering and like you said, it made my car more tighter in steering and control.
That's awesome. I'm debating adding in the rear as well!
@@gothamsti so you can just undo those 2 bolts on both sides no need to take off the fender liner or jack up the car
@@_ThatGuyDavid yup, exactly!
@@gothamsti I just ordered mine
@@_ThatGuyDavid that’s awesome, congrats!

Thank you! Great points! I plan to get the rear Custco strut bar. I’ll certainly make a video once I do
Great video ! very helpful! 🙌
Anytime! :)
Thats a really nice and complete review thanks!
Thank you!! 👍🏼

Great points and I 100% agree! Performance over looks. The best parts can’t be seen sometimes
@@gothamsti...deleted...price of bar is in the middle of the range and really the only choice if you want a one piece bar....thanks for your time....
@@K03sport Yeah I agree. I wasn't really able to find many other choices that were just one piece!

It flexes when the tires hit bumps or are on uneven surfaces
but it’s stiff when cornering.

Thanks! To be honest, I don’t remember the torque specs but I remember having a lot of trouble finding it

Will the aos iag get in the way?
It might actually. I don’t have an AOS so not completely sure
Will this clear the iag aos v3 unit? 15+
Good question! I can’t say for sure but I do know the Tanabe strut bar clears most AOS’ because the bar sits higher than most
