I was never star struck but back in the 80s I was backstage at Amnesty International meeting everyone. He was the only one that I was lost for words meeting. At the time He has a GOD to me. Thank God we ended up having a really good conversation. I LOVE you Peter Gabriel!!!!
I watched the original video for this a couple of weeks back and teared up. Such depth and rawness to the lyrics...I think many of us can relate. "This time you've gone too far!"
Saw Peter in Philadelphia for the first time about 10 years ago, Had goosebumps the entire concert, I felt like I was in the presence of a God! If I had the opportunity to sit down with one person to talk to for 30 minutes, have a beer or two, it would Peter Gabriel.
Industry people and musicians are the absolute worst audiences. Deserved more than a comatose response. What a great song. I forgot about this until just now and it's better than I remember. Such a killer groove and brilliant heartfelt lyrics. One of his best.
David Rhodes! Always an afterthought when talking great guitarists, but hat a wonderful sketch artist David has been for years. And Peter, well, he's just a really really nice, good human being on top of being such an incredible artist.
@@davidmreyes77 Hmm yeah, but plenty of dark music you can dance to. Depeche Mode have made a career out of it, with so many of the songs remixed. There's also the whole EBM genre, or indie electronic, or some trance
This song is incredible, this is about interpersonal relations, even if inspired by murderers. There's an incredible life lesson in that particular song!
Well, nope. Scene performance is obviously different from studio recordings, but usually you can find some new accents, some "soul" in it despite all imperfections which makes it "new thing". But this one is just weak and bleak. Sorry.
What a song. Criminally underrated
AGREEEE! IT IS HOOOOT! 🔥
Indeed!
This whole album taught me how breakups should be handled
too right. this should have been massive!
Peter wrote songs about going to therapy and Phil wrote songs about all his divorces.
Genius Tune. I remember being shocked when it was released, and I still am today.

The song with so many talented musicians is the best! Such guitar playing, the drums, the keyboards, it’s all A+

I agree
Well said. So true.
The heck with them and especially the snobbish critics!
Agreed. Makes you wonder if they even like music. Corpses.
Powerful performance. Impacted me more than expected. Peter G is a truly skilled artist. Thx.
What a perfect musician with an equally perfect band.
Incredible musicianship
Such a solid jam of an intro...
Of all the songs he could choose...this one. I endorse this message.
Arguably his best song.
Can't wait tonight - i/o The Tour officially ends in less than 24 hours in Houston!
Nice - the line-up here includes Leo Nocentelli from "The Meters", who is also featured in the original studio version on guitar.
Just adding on-bless this man for picking a pair of songs from his later discography that are amazing nonetheless

A hidden Treasure!
Wow! Fantastic song and performance. Dark and sticky.
Great tune, I remember the video in the 90s
This live version is much better than the original with the guitar solos and riffs
Totally, and on Secret World Live the bass line absolutely crushes
Amazing song and performance..!
Keep on singing along guys, music is our family and we will never be apart anymore 💋🤗🍀🎁🦋💐💋🤗
I saw this guy on The Hunt For Red October. Very talented guy!
This song is P H E N O M O N A L✨💫⚡️🌟⭐️
Brilliant brilliant brilliant
The best band that has ever been assembled with ELO !
Wow!! wow!! Congratulations.
What a shame....total stiffs in the audience!! Here's one of the greatest artists/performers to be in our times. Peter's an icon.
I know right. This is a song I can't help but move to. That groove
It’s kind of a dark song though.

Better live, it is
An outstanding performance in front of lifeless industry goons who have no idea as to Peter’s artistry and genius.
I was there!!
Rael is in the house...
All round good man Peter is . We no Peter he’s beautiful fella . Deserve a break dxxx
Yusuf Islam arriving late at 3:55.
Haha, good catch 🤣
He could just been getting up to use the loo, or take a phone call
I read that as he was in the band … and mistimed. :-)
Cool
I've always thought it was audiences like this that it was the most unfilling to perform. So formal, everyone sitting still.
If "unfilling" is a good thing then yes, I agree. The best audience is a quiet audience.
Cruise to the edge 2014 for stick men band
Taxi Driver - the movie with Robert De Niro comes to mind
David shreading!!!
What can i add , except of being a frog💓

Pino Paladino is as lackluster with Peter Gabriel as he was with The Who. Tony Levin must have been seriously busy.
The anger isn't there.......
A listers and snotheads sitting in class, listening to AAA.
I’m sure that’s one of the girls from the Rotterdam Kate Bush tribute concert on backing vocals …
She was also Peter’s backing singer during the Back to Front Tour (which was during this time).
I don't care what age he is. I want to see what he's doing.
Where was their normal bassist?
I read an interview where Peter said he was on a prog rock cruise during the induction ceremony, And he had to miss out. 😢
Sounds like trip hop to me...but twas a 1992 track!
WOW! Where Is Tony Levin? That's unacceptable!!

Why the people dont dance...shame
i hope theres a fucking good reason tony levin wasnt involved in this////
This crowd is why the french cut off heads, lol
