Thanks for great video! Moved to L’ville from SoCal in 2020 best decision of my life. My hubby and I bought an amazing property and have been happy overall. I work for school district and I have to say it is
well organized a family with school age kiddos would be happy with the free education. Even though downtown didn’t look great on the video probably the time of day, there’s always something to do food trucks, yoga or salsa dancing in the park and summer concerts. There are coffee shops and a few mini breweries. Lots of weekend foot traffic. It’s lovely. I’ve met some very nice people

I'm thinking of returning home to Georgia after not being a resident since I left for the military in 1977. Born at Georgia Baptist. Raised in Decatur. My company has a location in Lawrenceville. My brother is in Oxford. My youngest grandson is named Lawrence. Seems like a God thing, maybe. I really enjoyed your video. Thanks!
Currently living in Lawrenceville and have for years. Although, I don’t have any children the school system is great. This was important to me for resale. For the younger crowd we now have several lounges in the area. Gwinnett has almost everything you need with the exception of fine dining and major acts in entertainment. Love being a Gwinnettian!

Hi, I've been living in Lawrenceville for 16 years. I definitely see a chance and not necessarily for the good. They are building more and more apartments in the area and it's becoming very over crowded.
As an HOA board member, we're very concerned about the number of rental properties in our subdivision. We're currently in the process of becoming a non-rental community. Many renters, not all, but many do not maintain the property and they don't care because they don't own it. That's a big issue for home owners in a community that's trying to keep their neighborhood beautiful.
The other thing is crime. There has been an increase in crime in Lawrenceville. I belong to a neighborhood app and the amount of car break-ins and stolen packages and homes being broken into that's reported is ridiculous. People that want to move here, I hope they come with a mind set of wanting to live a better life and they're willing to work together with their neighbors. If we all look out for one another and maintain our property then maybe Lawrenceville can get back to the way it used to be. Sorry for the long response, but I just had to state some real facts.

Very much so. I've lived here for 15 years and it's changed immensely.
I have lived in lawrenceville since 2008 from NYC. And I love it for my kids and they feel safe. Second, being the seat of Gwinnett County all the important offices are close, like the courts, police and dmv etc.

Me and the wife are looking into places like McDonough, Conyers, Stockbridge, Morrow Can start looking into Lawrenceville I know education is really important to me and the wife for the girls for school saw this video was very helpful.

Is there a church name "Okelly Chapel"? Grandmother's family built the church, last name Hammonds or Hammond (some dropped the S )
There is a O'Kelly Baptist missionary church but it's in snellville which is not far from Lawrenceville. Don't know if it's your kins .
What city/area in Gwinnett County can I find a New Construction area home that’s a 2-story in the $200,000’s?
Unfortunately none. Right now most new construction homes are in the mid to high 300’s-400’s. Now resales you may able to find a few older homes in the mid to high 200’s.
Why don't you go to Gwinnett Place or Sugarloaf commons. I used to live in Lawrenceville it's a city not a suburb two different things .
