- This is our 2nd visit to and review of Waterfront Seafood Shack.
Waterfront Seafood Shack offers outdoor dining and fresh seafood, right on the beautiful waterway in Calabash. Calabash is known as "The Seafood Capital Of The World", for good reason.

First of all that lady was amazing to not just remember yalls faces but to remember such a small issue with the corn from 2 years ago! That is almost impossible with the amount of tourist she sees in a year! Good choices on what yall ordered. That t -shirt did look nice.
Yes, I was absolutely amazed that she would remember a detail like that.
This is a really good place to eat, with a beautiful setting.

The atmosphere was totally beach vibes and the food looked amazing and fresh.
Funny about the server who remembered you Derek because I had a the same experience.
My husband daughter and I used to go to Wildwood, N. J. yearly.
I wanted something refreshing to drink so I went to a stand that sold lime Rickey’s but they were pre made however a nice young man made me a special one without sugar ( I am diabetic) and asked how many sugar free packets did I need and I told him.
It was so so good with that fine ice. I got brain freeze but it was worth it ! lol
The years that followed by he remembered my name and the 2 packets of Sweet N Low. I just walked up and he came right to me.
He must have worked there during summer while going to college. After 4 years I never seen him again.
I often wonder what he is doing and where life has taken him.
I am NOT SURE if it was a good thing or bad thing by him remembering my first name, but I will surely remember how nice he was.
On the boardwalk tons of people walk up and down. I am sure he severed countless people in the 4 years, and then there was me!
Cindy, David and Carly are a very special family to me and I consider them my friends although we never met in person.
I believe that you just know when you know kind, loving people.

Yes, they are very nice people. We have met up with them several times, and always enjoy it when we do.
It is honestly amazing, how some servers have such a great memory. It is not unusual for us to remember having a particular server on a past visit, but given the sheer number of people they must serve in a year's time, it is amazing that they could remember us...and with the details that they remember, as well.
My favorite place to go to when I go down there. Love the grilled crab cakes. Good to see that you enjoyed your meals.

Looks like a great place to eat, thanks for the review. Hope ya’ll enjoyed your beach weekend. We went to Fernandina beach, Florida this weekend for their shrimp festival and on the way back stop in Mayport , Florida at Singleton’s seafood for dinner.

I mean, you didn't even see the menu prices in the other video, when they are clearly right there. So, we are already very concerned about your eyesight.
Also, it seems like you're the only one on here claiming there's no view. I would make an appointment with an optometrist, and probably even an opthamologist, as soon as possible.

The music was loud the day we were there too. I think they are trying to create a party atmosphere. That's why I like to get to places before the partying starts! lol Only partying we need is the party in our mouth with delicious seafood! Thanks for the review!
Yes, she got those scallops because of watching y'all's video and seeing how much David liked them. I was actually going there with plans to get exactly what you got, but when I saw the snapper as the special, I decided to get that and the shrimp. I've always loved snapper.
I actually showed a clip of you all and your video to the ladies that were there, and one of them remembered y'all being there. The other one said she doesn't think she was there that day, but the other girl did remember your visit.
The music was loud our first time there, because I remember making a remark about hoping not to get a copyright hit. But this time, it was blaring. We actually did ask if they could lower the volume on it, and they were very nice and did so.
And yes, we were absolutely going to mention y'all, because y'all's video is the main reason that we decided to go back this trip. I do believe we would have returned at some point, but all of your meals looked out of this world.
I still cannot get over that lady remembering us after 3 years, and not just remembering our faces, but remembering the detail about the corn. She has one of the best memories of anybody I've ever met.

One thing that I love about watching RUclips videos is that it gives me the opportunity to actually see the food and hear people's reactions to the food. I read lots of reviews and look over menus but it just isn't the same as seeing the actual interaction.
It also makes us feel good when we have people telling us that they try places because they saw us review it. I know you get the same thing from people. It's not always about the number of reviews but that it is appreciated.
@@vafunseekers I agree. I used to do a lot of reviews on Tripadvisor, as well as read a lot of reviews on there, before we started doing this.
But since we started doing and watching other RUclips reviews, I haven't used TripAdvisor nearly as much. Still occasionally, but like you said, it's just better to see it than read about it.

Being on the waterfront, did it smell fishy?
Not at all.
Can you pull your boat dockside to dine?
I honestly don't know. I doubt it. I think that is mainly where the fishing charters come in.
I know there are places at Barefoot Landing where you can do that.
Has Ella’s reopened yet?
No, and I am very doubtful that they are going to.
The sign saying they are going to reopen, has been removed. And the building is still standing there burned, just like it was.
They've done absolutely nothing that encourages me that they will open again.

Perverted music for sure, noticed it right off, I used to listen to the mess, then I got saved and burned it up to the glory of God.
Yes, everything about this place is perfect, except for the music. It was extremely loud when we got there yesterday. In fact, when I'm going over the menu there at the beginning, I had to completely mute the clips and impose music over it, just because the music was so loud.
I will say they were very nice and accommodating, when we did ask them to lower it.
