Queensland Sugar Cane Railways Farleigh Mill

The Farleigh mill is located just north of Mackay in northern Queensland , a section of this sugar cane railway climbs Church Hill, probably the steepest section of still operating adhesion railway in Australia .

Hi, John, thoroughly enjoyed the vids of Qld sugar cane railways. Back in the late 80's did some linesiding at near Bundaberg and more recently around Mossman. These narrow gauge lines have a certain character and you have captured it so well. Nearest we have in the UK is across the water in Ireland with peat bog railways.
