- With this chapter we move closer to primer and paint. I'll show you how the fuselage sections come together as well as getting the wings built and installed. Another challenging (if not aggravating at times) kit from Kitty Hawk.

Looks like you are doing a great job with a not so great kit. It's to bad Kitty Hawk engineering and fit sucks so bad because they have some neat subjects.
Looking forward to the next installment of this build series.
Thanks Ed! A few simple changes to their kit engineering would make a world of difference.
Really enjoying your "say it as it is" build reviews John and I share your frustrations with KH as a company. A great subject choice , the right scale and tremendous surface detailing but let down by some inexplicable engineering decisions; as you say, where is the logic to moulding the tail plane like that..? The jury is still out on whether I will get this kit and will see how you get on with it in future updates. Once again, thank you for your videos and above all, for the complete honesty and explanations of this kit - both good and bad. Cheers. Gary
Thanks Gary! As always with KH great subject matter polluted by poor engineering and lack of research. I guess we'll see how it goes.
i guess it is kind of off topic but do anyone know a good website to stream new tv shows online?
@Lucas Sage flixportal =)
@Avi Muhammad Thank you, signed up and it seems to work :) Appreciate it!
@Lucas Sage Happy to help =)
truly enjoying this... including the rants and raves. As usual KH has dropped the ball. perhap-s a boycott until they learn? Anyone up for that ? thanks for airing your views. Dane
I doubt anyone will stop buying KH kits - they can't seem to stay in stock from what I've seen. It's obvious they don't read feedback and they don't fix their instructions or improve their kit engineering for the most part. And the times they've received assistance from knowledgeable sources like Floyd Werner they've used bits and pieces of that guidance - the UH-1 looks nice but even Floyd has said online that they did heed all the advice given. I'm really not sure what will every change on their end.
Coulda saved alot of headache by building a hasegawa kit. KH is rough
You're certainly right - I could have built the Hasegawa kit. I wasn't sure if it was a raised panel line kit or not, and I had followed Chuck Sawyer's build closely - it's not a terrible kit, just problematic in a few major places.
Need to oil the dog again ...lol
Lol - for some reason Dexter tends to snore loudest when the camera is on.
Your travails and ongoing fitment battles with KH serves to delay any decision I make in purchasing one of their expensive 1/35 scale helos; who wants to fuss and futz with crap-ola for hours on end like that? Not me.
Kip - I’ve built the KH MH-60, and it’s not a bad kit at all. I’d say their H-60 series of kits are some of the better work they’ve done. This F-5 though...
