7:50 You have to consider payload. I'm not sure how much that other guy weighs, but the guy talking is a very big guy. On craft this size, the weight of the driver can have a big affect of acceleration and speed. I'd be interested in seeing the drag race done twice with the drivers swapping wave runners.
@@ClosenatorI appreciate the insight. I wasn't necessarily suggesting that was the only reason it was faster in the side by side. It could very well be faster with equal payload. I was just suggesting that the payload does have an affect on acceleration and top speed. So it would be interesting to see the drivers switch and run a second time, or use drivers of similar weight.
@@Closenator I'm not sure the weight of the vehicle matters too much if you're simply trying to show which is faster. Regardless, it's no big deal or anything. But thanks for sharing you're thoughts.

I heard bad opinions from people who already purchased Yamaha skis made in 2021 2021 Yamaha ski owners saying that skis built quality very poor compare to previous years. I do believe in this because of the pandemic situation globally and shortage of employees. I also believe that Yamaha skis for 2021 very poor quality because of high demand and rush in manufacturing them. Could you please advise what to look for if will be considering to buy Yamaha 2021 gp1800r ho? Many thanks in advance

I bought a "slow" model because it was my first jet ski and it felt safer than buying a gp1800r svho but it became boring after 1 hour and now i am in the process of selling it to buy the gp. But that is just my opinion, hope this answered your question.
8:12 everyone is saying the drag race is a walk but to me it looks like he let off the throttle. And also the whole time. Stayed equal distance away after the initial start. Which is astounding being it’s NA and the other is supercharged.
When they began racing, the heavier, turbo enhanced cruiser was 10 feet (1 ski length) ahead at idle speed. So Cruiser PWC simply maintained this advantage and didn’t leave the smaller one in its wake. Maybe they allowed this unfair start because the big guy driving the Cruiser is 250-300 pounds in weight? Heavier than the other driver? Only thing that makes logical sense other than trying to SELL viewers more expensive cruiser.

Did you find the cruiser seat comfortable, with enough leg room? I'm 6 feet tall. I have put a deposit down on the 2021 FX Cruiser SVHO, so I guess I'll find out. Thanks again for posting. I enjoy all your reviews.
I had a custom seat made for my Yamaha VMax at Corbin. I wonder if they could do the same for a PWC? I don't see why not.
I have a 2015 fx cruiser svho and I'm 5 11 and have plenty of legroom great machine
How is it?
Don I’m assuming you’ve gotten your svho… how did you find the cruiser seat? I’m wondering because I have a deposit in for a 2023 FX Cruiser SVHO and am also 6 feet tall. I don’t want to feel cramped or forced to sit back on the hump (back support).
@@iananderson7569 Ian, I ended up getting a SeaDoo GTX 230/2021. My dealership said my order for the FX would possibly be canceled. Watch videos of The Shipps Logg. He has the Fx SVHO Cruiser and he is 6' 8". He says he is very comfortable.
Truly excellent, very complete video. Didn’t you used to report for tfl?
Yes I did. Started my own channel now. Welcome.
You should compare equal models. They should both be SVHO!
Can only compare what's available to us.
@@TruckKing hopefully you manage to get hold of the svho version of the gp1800 and compare that as it would be more realistic comparison .You should really have made it clear in video that your comparing apples to oranges as the uninformed viewer may think the fx is the faster machine when its not.
Please do more PWC REVIEWS
even jet boats too if you can!
Thanks man
Fx cruiser all the way for me
Why such a strange comparison? Need to compare to an SVHO. This is like comparing and m5 to a 330i
I have no interest in jet skis but I watched the whole video
FX for me, I like my creature comforts.
Great 📹🎥
You all prolly dont give a shit but does someone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account??
I was stupid forgot my password. I would love any help you can offer me.
@Shiloh Corey Instablaster =)
I prefer the cruiser
So I had a back break scare (ended but not being a break and not too serious) on a friend's wave runner hitting wake surf boat double ups. So long story short I want to buy whatever is going to help me launch like that.
A real ski ruclips.net/video/yJ2_iErPzs8/видео.html
I guess neither, I would buy the GP 1800R SVHO
Exactly why would any one want a naturally aspirated engine for racing?
Steven front tfl??? Where you been? You where the best host one there by a long shot. I hope you take off with this new channel
Thanks, it was time to go out on my own.
I’d buy the cruiser and get it supercharged! I bet there’s heaps of people that would do it for them
They sell a fx cruiser svho
@@lmmduramax7907 oh whoops I didn’t listen properly i the video
They sell a GP SVHO is the one you need in your life
7:50 You have to consider payload. I'm not sure how much that other guy weighs, but the guy talking is a very big guy. On craft this size, the weight of the driver can have a big affect of acceleration and speed. I'd be interested in seeing the drag race done twice with the drivers swapping wave runners.
Well the fx is supercharged and the gp isnt but both come naturally aspirated and supercharged but im pretty surr the gp1800 would win in both cases
@@closinginonclosure yeah that muh wigt very may well affect the race but i think maybe they did it this way round because the fx is heavier? Maybe
@@Closenator I'm not sure the weight of the vehicle matters too much if you're simply trying to show which is faster. Regardless, it's no big deal or anything. But thanks for sharing you're thoughts.
250HP for me please!
What's the best Waverunner model for being very stable in a area with substantial waves?
Hello,
Looking to buy 2021 Yamaha GP1800R HO.
I heard bad opinions from people who already purchased Yamaha skis made in 2021
2021 Yamaha ski owners saying that skis built quality very poor compare to previous years.
Anyone own the GP 1800R HO? I would really appreciate hearing your opinion about it!
Since I wanna get this machine (2022 version) but I also want to be able to do sort of 90s tricks (sharp turns and wave jumping etc.) And I wonder if this machine is able to do that sort of stuff. Can you tell me?
Also are you able to comfortably fit 3 people on it? And tow wakeboard/tube with it?
I would really like to hear your pros and cons on it🙏
why wouldn't you compare both SVHOs?? they make FX HOs also
Can only compare what they have available to us. Sorry.
Taking the cruiser for more comfort for tow sports 💯
That drag race though I wouldn’t be too butt hurt losing like that want that big difference
I'm 6'5 240lbs. I'd be all salt water riding. I need reliability and comfort and stability. Which brand, Sea Doo, Yamaha, Kawi, would be what I need? Any big changes for 2022?
Might have news later in the fall.
20 years?! From 98-08 I had 5 models!
FX all day!!
GP 1800 aupercharged . It is a beast
1800 R is good but .......
GP 1800 supercharged is an 80 MPH plus ready .Just remove a limiter and 82 MPH without any modification !
Loved the video
GP1800R 1812cc must have a ton of torque if only 180hp... my 96 Seadoo GSX limited was 951cc with 130hp..
World's best engine YAMAHA !!!
Not even the same year between the 2 skis , the GP is older than the FX so obviously the GP doesn’t have the FX features
I’m thinking the cruiser without the super charger I’m a beginner.... do you think I need a super charger 🤷🏽♂️
Get the supercharged one
🤷🏽♂️
@@lawrencetaylor5985I think that you should get the naturally aspirated one if you dont care about speed but if you only consider it because you are a beginner then you should buy the supercharged one. I learned that the hard way. I bought a "slow" model because it was my first jet ski and it felt safer than buying a gp1800r svho but it became boring after 1 hour and now i am in the process of selling it to buy the gp. But that is just my opinion, hope this answered your question.
Is he not part of TFL anymore ? Either way great videos always enjoy your content.
On my own now - Truck King all the time.
Thanks for the video!!
I want to tow a tube jump waves and have cruiser run rides which one is good for me
Does it have a model cruisin like the red one, the top comfort on eater but with a smaller engin?
Great review. Thank you, keep it going. The svho limited one is great jet👍
Would’ve like top speed run numbers for both please!!
I have the 1800r ho and i got it out but the dash was stuck in kilometers for a while and most ive hit is 103 (64.001)
If you guys were actually lined up i feel like it would have been a better race
why not review the supercharged gp1800?
Can you do Yamaha gp1800r svho vs Yamaha Fx limited svho
Wish we could - not every model is available to us.
FX all day
i like both of it
8:12 everyone is saying the drag race is a walk but to me it looks like he let off the throttle.
