Have about 20 hours on a 1.9L FX HO. Very impressed with the drivetrain but paint is still terrible with Yamaha

@@pajamatime5750 yes after about 3 weeks I noticed small paint missing from bottom of hull. This is my 5th waverunner and it’s consistently an issue that Yamaha refuses to address
@@Watercraftshack Ah that sucks. I’ve heard about this for a couple years now I can’t believe they haven’t addressed that yet!
@@pajamatime5750 I’ve never had a hull come apart because of the paint but still sucks having to touch it up all the time
That's why I stay with kawasakis.. The hulls otherwise I'd be on the Yamaha team. But too. Many horror stories with Yamahas hulls. Super dumb on their end to not fix that 5 to 10 lbs of weight in making a proper hull would not hurt anyone. And make it night and day difference.

The only real difference between this and my 2022 VX HO is the jet trim, cup holders and the ability to load a map in the larger display.

Thanks for the video! I just bought one, had it out twice for a total of about 8 hours. Love it! But it seems like mine tends to lean to the left when not on plane - did you notice that behavior? Any idea of a cause?

My 23 VX HO will do 65 MPH with me at 200 lbs. Also if I am not mistaken, the FX is only 1/2 inch wider than the VX. So cup holders and a couple inches in length is the only things I see different than the VX.

it’ll run on 87 but definitely worth putting in premium
Can you anchor these in mid lake or river?
Sure. Would be a little tricky as you would probably need to store it in the nose, which makes it hard to access. But it's definitely doable.

@@duramaxadventures5832 no, the new 1.9 does not require premium fuel, only the super charged versions do, na 1.8 engines do not.

They fixed the problem of the paint coming off and peeling in the Hull ?And the most important thing did they fixup the issue whit oil getting in the head? is a oil pan issue . Yamaha is great but I don't understand why they haven't fixed that whit all the profits they make..20k with dealer fees and taxes More Whit the sho
Paint still sucks
Wait for the 2026 models with Gel coat hull, not the car paint which it breaks. It's a shame, so close to be the perfect PWC. Kawi is under powered, and Sea doo ST3 hull it's so bad to control.

Sucks that the 2024 HO's now use about the same amount of fuel as the SVHO 's do, defeating the purpose of the HO models...that 1.9 is a THIRSTY engine!

@@seanpeakes8739 Haha what? the seadoo is supercharged. This Yamaha is the highest HP naturally aspirated engine in the industry. If you want supercharged power they have that too. How do you even compare this with an RXTX power wise?? Haha. 🤡
