@@johnmuthan286 Thanks John. Saw the Fifty-Four Homage reviews before, they are great looking. But I don’t think they offer a sunburst grey dial like the 62 MAS. Well, we watch nuts are just plain OCD when looking for our “ideal watch”. 😁

Fun video. I built my own 62 MAS using parts off eBay. Someone is selling the Heimdallr 62 MAS case separately. I used a black date ring NH35 with a Mil-Spec dial and sword hands. For just a little splash of color a red seconds hand.
That sounds D🔥PE. I've got some swords for my Steeldive SD1953 (Sub clomage, Starbucks colorway), a watch that I love except for the "classic" ☮️ 👑 handset. I really dislike those hands. I just got 'em bc I like the swords on my Orient Mako II's, then found out about the Rolex Milspec and it sorta blew my mind. Trying to work up the confidence to try a hand swap myself 😰
Hey just a quick one, I have similar build on namoki case, do you know by any chance where to get a bracelet that would fit? I asked Namoki but they said due to shape of lug widths it cannot have a bracelet.
Great show. And now ...........? Your dream came true ........... Tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, ......... Let's find another watch !!! 😁😁😁 One small suggestion - the date background in black with a white number? Tropic black strap is the winner !!! Love your show !!!
Wonderful video, Russel. Having watched several reviews of the SPB your impressions seem to be shared by others. If you don't mind me asking, however, given your take on homages (not a fan) why do you see a custom build as being different?
Love the 62 más and have the same San Martín and have thought about getting original Dial and hands, quick change over then onto a waffle strap and same end result for even less. Plus San Martín have great QC.
Good question Sam! So firstly this build wasn’t already made being sold as a Seiko Homage. 12 components picked to then be put together including an original SPB DIAL and an NH35 . To me it’s a Seiko Sam, it’s not a Pagani looking like a Seiko ;) I think the word ‘custom’ says it all. It’s unique(ish) to me . I quite like that idea

Granted I really like the more gun metal look but the added protection it gives…. I’m not so sure;) one thing I did love was the brushed steel insert on the 143! Very cool!! The Seiko 6R35 is a superior movement to the NH35, its better finished as well as the 70hrs power reserve compared to 41hrs. He did a great job on that watch can hardly tell the difference between the original. My only gripe and there's always one of course is the plain case back .apart from that it's great. Great vids keep em coming.carl from cov.
I dare say I could’ve got a more decorative caseback my friend! ;) I could have that personalised later I suppose ! I wonder what the caseback of a 62 MAS looks like? Does it have the Seiko wave on it?
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR just had a look on youtube yours looks (from the front)identical to the reissue, the case back has the small round embossed tsunami wave as on all seiko divers. Hope I haven't ruined your day still it's a great time piece for the money its identical. All the best.
Hahahaha not at all what did the 1965’s 62 MAS have as a caseback that’s what I wanna know;)
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR just looked it up on google images it had a real bad image of a dolphin on the back with seiko written around it.all the best glad I made you laugh.
Speaking of nice bezels; my Oceanus OCWP2000 has the most beautiful bezel I have ever seen. Saphire insert as well 😉
I'd be happy to send it to you for a review my friend..
