Ryan I personally love to watch your videos. I dont think anyone understands how much time, effort, and care you give to provide us the content we see. As a father of 3 just trying to manage to keep cars on the track, batteries charged, and helping others can be grueling. I know that because you are providing content there is a percentage of concentration that is not committed to the racing aspect and fatigue which translates into a mistake here and there on the track. Then you are racing on carpet trying to dial in your car all at the same time. I just want say " I see you and I appreciate you!"
If we win every time... Things seem good and it sure feels awesome .. but through the tough times is where we push ourselves to be better .. great job Ryan!!
Running only two gears in your diff might help with corner speed it really makes a difference at our local carpet track Of course the newer diff style not the old!
Ryan nothing to sneeze at, I think you held up pretty well with some of the top drivers. The 4wd finish had me and my son yelling NOOOO!!!! But hey dirt is always king. Great post.
Great close racing on that 4wd race. Even the 2WD was good too. Everyone makes mistakes and has bad days. In saying that, your bad days, would be like my best haah!
That intro is dope! This is the kind of stuff I show people to give them an idea how awesome rc is. Thank YOU! BTW, can you cut a vid with only the best close up /slow mo scenes like that? Could be just 2 Mins or so, or longer. You know similar to efra's "this is rc racing"? That would be greatly appreciated, I think not only by me.
Just found your channel, I can honestly say that watching these makes me want to try racing but I know thats not easy. Also, I definitely prefer the more race vlog over the overviews
I know, for a fact, I'm not going to be at your level as a driver, but I like these videos of you explaining set ups and race formats. I particularly like when races don't go your way, you still explain/show footage of how it went down. I think that is a real mark of a genuine sportsman. 👍 Always dig your videos, hope you can make it to Georgia some day to race.
You did a great job either way as there was tuff competition! That carpet had a ton of traction..lol awesome weekend tho!! Also it was great to finally meet you all the way from Washington:)
Hey Ryan, Thank you for the tires, already have a young racer that needs them much more than I do that I will be giving them to with your blessing, hope you don"t mind. Was great to see you as always, had been a while (MOD 2020) and I hope to see you again sooner rather than later.
DUDE! You humidor is off the chain! I've seen you making a proper cup of coffee and I think I saw you enjoying scotch in another video once? Now this humidor! You Sir are a man's man! The only thing we don't have in common is TLR! lol Cheers dude!
Small world. Pat Mac N Cheese is the driver to your right. Local guy to me here in PA. Fast race tough competition you did pretty good all things considered.
See ya at Cleveland! Gonna be new carpet there too, but much smaller track. :) I have been running the Composite ring gears on carpet for quite a while with no issues with center diff. Should be ok I think. Also, I just put the carbon chassis on my car and so far I have liked it. I'll bring the aluminum one for Cleveland just in case though. :)
For 2wd try Schumacher Cactus yellow compound on the rear, and cut stagger low profile yellow compound on the front. That’s what most of the UK carpet racers run
hey ryan my local track is carpet probably not as high grip but i typically run 10k or 15k diff oils front and rear with my xb4 and it seems to corner quite fast
Little late to the comments but if you have the chance try the schumacher cactus rears and cut of the inner and outer row of nobs really helps with stability and consistent steering 👍
great video man, solid weekend for you i’d say even though you didn’t get the finished you wanted you gained a lot of knowledge and experience, alsways great getting to watch you race man until the next one 🤛🇺🇸🤘cheers
You might try just 2 gears in the diffs instead of the 4 planetary gears, as it gives more rotation and also more bite in a straight line! Yes more bite as the diff locks up at high speed. Oils in the diff can stay high though.
Hey bro I'm liking all your videos you be posting I like how you break it down and talk about everything how to get a car to run right but I haven't been playing with RC car in about 25 years man and getting back into it I'm looking at the Losi 22 5.0 AC and a question for you do you do custom paints if I was to send you a body
Hey man awesome video. Im looking to get into rc racing. Was thinking about the mini t or b to start. It seems budget friendly. Beachline is probably my closest track. Iv never been. Do they have mini classes there??
A quick heads up. Just started the video. HOLY CARP at the jacked volume in the first race scene. From subdued Ryan to concert volume. Louder than the too loud ads that pop up on RUclips videos. I'm sure the video will still be a good watch.
Great content once again!!! Great racing, I know the struggle of getting into your own head. Have you tried running the 6 degree caster blocks in the 4wd?? Looked like you had 9s on the car in the close up shot. I noticed a big difference switching to 6s. Have you ran the +2mm shock towers I'm back and forth with wanting to give them a shot. If you have any input I'd appreciate it.
Hey there! I live in Wisconsin and race indoor offroad carpet quite a bit. My gf and I want to take a trip to the southeast side of the US. Kentucky, Tennessee.. That area. Have any suggestions for awesome tracks in that area? Doesn’t have to be exactly. Just looking for awesome ideas.. Thank you!
Hi Ryan, love your videos. Just trying to get back into the hobby after 20 years out. I got a 2nd hand set up to get me started its s 2wd Schumacher Cougar KC. I am looking at getting a new kit to build over Xmas. I will mainly be running on new ESO carpet, then in summer worn out astroturf. I am torn whether to get a new 2wd or a new 4wd I have heard different opinions on which is easier to drive. Do you have any thoughts on this or which way to go? ( I was going to go stadium truck after one of your other videos but there is little appetite for that over here)
Carbon will flex to a point and the "snap" back to its original shape. On carpet it makes an inconsistent feel. I tried carbon chassis prototypes for a 2wd with a company a few years ago. We found a 4mm worked best, but cost and weight pretty much killed the project
What kind of amp draw are you running on the 17.5 xfactor? I’ve run Maclan motors and they can take 9 amps like a champ but the Maclan stuff isn’t on top anymore. Recently switched to the xfactor but have no idea whats best to run it at.
Ryan, is your 2wd setup posted anywhere? Since TLR for what ever reason discontinued the 22 5.0 AC buggy.. Im not sure what I need to do to my Elite DC to convert it. Your link in signature doesnt work to find your setup.
@@RyanHarrisRC Any idea why they'd allow the voltage to be checked with the car on? It probably wouldn't be much but the power draw of the esc and fans would cause a bit of voltage sag which may let an otherwise overvoltage battery pass tech. Just seems like a strange decision to me but I guess it helps speed up checking for blinky mode

Thank you for the kind words! They help more than you know!
Totally agree. Video/editing quality is top notch!
I couldn’t agree more, much appreciated!!
For not being on carpet in a long time you did very well keep reflecting on your carpet setup sheets
I love EZ Airbrush Customs. Such awesome artistry!!
Man, that 4wd B main literally had me on the edge of my seat. Great racing!
likewise! My hands were sweating watching hahaha
If we win every time... Things seem good and it sure feels awesome .. but through the tough times is where we push ourselves to be better .. great job Ryan!!
Brian Christian was another one of the volunteers who worked his butt off fabricating the ramps and obstacles.
Awesome! Thanks for the insight! He crushed it 🤘
not that bad of a race and the second part had me on the edge the whole time.
Damn at least you had to had fun. I mean that battle at the end of the 4wd Main was awsome. You were ripping those last laps!
Thanks for the course info RC Professor Harris. 🏆🎥🤝🤙
Running only two gears in your diff might help with corner speed it really makes a difference at our local carpet track
Of course the newer diff style not the old!
The video was great thanks, it was an epic weekend for sure. Lining up that back double consistently was definitely tough

I was hoping to had been able to make it down to watch the action! Good racing went on for sure… 👍🏾💯
Damn, unlucky Ryan. Great video though, glad you enjoyed the weekend regardless.
Yes sir Ryan keep it up when you coming out to Cali!
You did a great job either way as there was tuff competition! That carpet had a ton of traction..lol awesome weekend tho!! Also it was great to finally meet you all the way from Washington:)
YOURE GONNA BE IN CLEVELAND?!?!? AHHHHHH!!!! I'M GONNA FIND YOU AND GET A PICTURE!
Hey Ryan, Thank you for the tires, already have a young racer that needs them much more than I do that I will be giving them to with your blessing, hope you don"t mind. Was great to see you as always, had been a while (MOD 2020) and I hope to see you again sooner rather than later.
Mate that was a fantastic race in both classes. And the vid was auwsome yet again big well done!!
Great event, lots of fun, can't wait until next year.
I like the new bodies with the Ken Block scheme, lookin’ dialed in man keep it up!👍
Oh hell yeah. Glad you made a full carpet champs video
new bodies are DOPEEEEEE DUDE!!! Love the stickered up look!!
the break in character at 2:22 kills me lmfao
You make some of the best videos, my friend! Thanks for that. The ez bodies are awesome by the way!👍👌💪
Great video again. So much fun to watch. How you control the car in the air is amazing!
DUDE! You humidor is off the chain! I've seen you making a proper cup of coffee and I think I saw you enjoying scotch in another video once? Now this humidor! You Sir are a man's man! The only thing we don't have in common is TLR! lol Cheers dude!

excellent vid! event looked awesome!
It’s ok 👍 you learned something off to the next one enjoy great vids by the way as always ty for them
It is the announcers' job to call the wrecks to whoever was crying on the stand about wrecks getting called out, that is part of racing my friend.
Agreed! 😂
Ryan the bodies look awesome I would like to have some more information on the guy who does your paintings and styles
Great Racing Man. Keep safe ya all.
Little late to the comments but if you have the chance try the schumacher cactus rears and cut of the inner and outer row of nobs really helps with stability and consistent steering 👍

Good luck at Supercup dude!!
Thank you for the video, always well done . Next time talk about Associated cars and their setups 😁
Did you try running some super glue round the front tyre sidewalls? That normally lets you push it into the corner without it grip rolling.
Good tip - glue up the front tyre side walls
after you went off the jump landing , you were on rails man
I would highly recommend going to ae or yokomo ball cups instead of the tlrs they pop off way to easy
Also I highly recommend 15k rear and 10k front
You was Rollin bruh
You might try just 2 gears in the diffs instead of the 4 planetary gears, as it gives more rotation and also more bite in a straight line! Yes more bite as the diff locks up at high speed. Oils in the diff can stay high though.
There's always be a next time, Ryan,,

Hit up Erik Everett from EZ customs!
Love your vids.
Hey Ryan,
I live in the Clearwater Dunedin area! Looking to get into the Sport! What’s a good way and setup to get into?
Would love a video from Cleveland!
Unlucky Ryan, maybe 1 tooth less on the pinion on the 2WD would have helped. lacked a little punch and wasnt topping out on straight.
Can you comment or discuss the front end caster block change?
Carpet is King. Step up or get to stepping.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Sometimes you feel it sometimes you don't.. GG.
Hey Ryan when you comin out to Cali next?

Great job! No way I could keep up on carpet, looks like a great experience.
What Velcro do you use to
Hold the body to the chassis?

Random question, why do you run 17.5 and 13.5 instead of mod?
What is the song during the first video montage? It's 🔥
You seemed to lack punch in the 2wd, slipper set too loose? I would deffo run battery max forward.
Lol just saw Pat mac-n-cheese hes a local guy from Jersey area really fast
What is the loud beeping tone during the race?
Is there a setup sheet somewhere for what Dakota was running? Ryan, where can we see your setup sheet for this?
40k sounds like it might be too thick for this tight track.
Why do so many tracks like this have to be so far from me?
Carbon will flex to a point and the "snap" back to its original shape. On carpet it makes an inconsistent feel. I tried carbon chassis prototypes for a 2wd with a company a few years ago. We found a 4mm worked best, but cost and weight pretty much killed the project
What ride height are you running on your 22X-4? That thing looks loooow!
Do you have a link or info Ryan on the 4wd rear arm conversion?
Do you feel a difference with having a front wing or not? Just curious.
Was Brendan running the composite internals or stock? Could driveline inertia be part of the culprit?
Are they putting Phends 2wd set up on any sites ? Need to know how far off I am. New to carpet
What kind of amp draw are you running on the 17.5 xfactor? I’ve run Maclan motors and they can take 9 amps like a champ but the Maclan stuff isn’t on top anymore. Recently switched to the xfactor but have no idea whats best to run it at.
Where can we get your setup sheets?
Ryan, is your 2wd setup posted anywhere? Since TLR for what ever reason discontinued the 22 5.0 AC buggy.. Im not sure what I need to do to my Elite DC to convert it. Your link in signature doesnt work to find your setup.
Wow carpet? #AARONSFASTER
I luv u
🥺🥺
Where you at sir ...i miss your videos
For tech were they weighing the car with the body off and checking voltage with the car on? Seems like a very weird thing to do.
My car met the minimum weight with the body off!

couple of years late but did Ryan refund his patreons after bailing to play with the motos and ignore RC?
Prisms are good but wear down pretty quick, and once theyve worn down they are pretty useless
Pretty much all the tires are good for hot lap pace on 2nd run and anything after starts to fade very quick
Who's that wierdo at the end? 🤔
great job with a failure video. you could of just not posted.
bro can you please mix the music better. its so much louder than your voice and the juxtaposition is annoying
vids are great otherwise but jesus
Blew it...
