This is pretty old. I wanted to upload something that more people will be interested since the last few uploads haven't been super popular. So here's this! I created this for a project that I'm probably not going to finish, even if I thought it was cool. Maybe it'll see the light of day, maybe not. Anyway, I hope you like this! I think it's a banger personally

Although this piece is undeniably nostalgic- I felt like it lost its charm throughout the gens to variations and legendary battles- but this cover makes it feel like I'm listening to it for the first time again!

Like a true remaster in 8bit handheld but with reverb and multiple instruments thanks to vrc6!
this really feels like how you imagine it as a little kid playing pokemon for the first time. the beginning is much slower and dark sounding, and the whole thing feels super intimidating.
sounds like a gen 4 remix
the sawtooth bass is a really nice touch mixed with some little bits that feel really like they're out of Gen 2/Gen 4 make it have the charm that I feel like this song lost over the years

Thank you! But uh I like numbers go up lolololol. I'm totally fine to upload stuff I like, I have a lot of that in the pipeline. Honestly most of my latest uploads have been commissions so they haven't been my most passionate songs. So that's why it was nice to upload smth like this

If the Pokemon series were to ever truly reboot with a rehash of red and blue and redesigned old pokemon, I could see this being the wild pokemon theme. Good job!
Hoping that project involving this hasn't been totally buried yet because if not I'd love to see it come to fruition someday too! Great cover, love the effort that was put into this. Definitely going in my playlist.

I think so, yeah… I’m realizing now I fully omitted the countermelody that happens there, so I don’t remember if that was intentional but I think because I used those channels for harmony instead they feel more full!

Just do the songs you like :) and if you really wan't to have more views, I would suggest doing more Final Fantasy 1-10, TLOZ, Chrono Trigger/Cross, Castlevania, well, you know, biggest hits of the 90's. And if it is any interest to you : I'm very frustrated with the fact that there is absolutely zero good 8 bit covers of John Williams on RUclips : the love theme from Superman, any song from Hook...
