- /Green. I had this cover done for some time now but didn't feel confident enough to upload it until recently. I've been doing some archiving and file cleaning so I guess here it is. Some of the mixing and instrumentation could have been done better but I'm glad I was able to cover another favorite of mine from Pokemon. I hope you enjoy!

Wow. I never knew the NES could do this. I think Super Mario Bros gave a lot of people the impression that the NES's sound chip kind of blew.
This song has a little help from the VRC6 expansion chip which gives it more sound channels and was only used for the Japanese Famicom! Maybe at the time of SMB they were still figuring out the Famicom's capabilities. If you want to hear some amazing music with only the Famicom/NES's processor (2A03) I recommend checking out Tim Follin's work who made great use of it. There are also much better cover artists on RUclips who do it justice :D
yes. the super mario bros ost on the NES really is underwhelming by today. NES music can really be great. and if you use expansion audio it really shines

Really like this! I always felt the original version had something missing, the added drums makes this song complete

Can you do the Rocket theme from GSC? That theme slapped in HGSS, and I want to see if a different remix can beat it.
