    I have been working on my own vehicles since I was a kid. So I don’t really need the instruction. Like you said if you can see the part you can change it. I look at videos like this to be lazy wrench sizes!! And straight to the point. 😁 So what I am saying there is 12 minute videos. There is 16, 18 minute videos. On the same topic, I tend to look for the shortest Right to the point, and like you said, tearing apart, half the engine bay to change out a three bolt part. Your video should have a much higher rating good job thank you very much for allowing me to be Lazy and go slap this part on good video👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

    Hey yall .I have had this same problem with my 2016 patriot.all I do to fix it is take off the actuator then stick a screwdriver into the slot that the actuator tab fits into.then I twist the screwdriver back and forth about 15 times with good pressure to make sure flaps are moving their full motion. Then I spray pb blaster into the actuator and where it goes into the manifold.and reinstall the actuator. Dont buy a new actuator 9 times out of 10 they are still good it's just the flaps in the manifold get goopy from oil vapor from crankcase through the PC valve..it should work for a good long while befor you have to repeat this process..even if you buy a brand new manifold this will happen eventually. Hope this helps someone...its not all that hard to do..I believe in you🙂

    You don’t need to remove the coolant line. It is flexible enough to get it out. Also, you can check the manifold runner with a screwdriver and make sure it is free. If not then you will need to clean the manifold. Also, it is easier to remove the complete air filter box than take the filter out.

    • @marius6086
      @marius6086 3 года назад

      Probably ought to replace the filter if the runners are dirty, though...

    Before you buy the part after you remove it put screwdriver in the slot see if you can rotate the manifold runners. Newer engines with fuel injection get gummed up from the oil Vapor going through the intake into the engine for the emissions controls. I'm doing a Ford F-150 now that everything is good one of the runners are stuck because of carbon and oil build-up.
