Watch the Award-winning producer reconstruct a several mixes of songs that are moving the needle in the country genre. In this series, Ben presents his in-the-box mixing template. An audio mixing system he's perfected at Majestic Ape Studio in Nashville. Breaking boundaries between engineering, sound design, and arrangement Ben will take you through his deep thought process of being a producer.
Ben only cares about one thing, "What's the Story" and how it contributes to the emotional impact of the song. Ben works his way through every instrument and how to carve fundamental frequencies and add space to bring out more of the song's emotion.
Ben reveals plugin tips, tricks, and presets to create a vast amount of depth, color and tone in the mix. As he works through the arrangement, he zooms in on each instrument and how to carve their frequencies, and how to create signature moments . He picks apart their construction and demonstrates how he makes space for the vocal.
