I lost it when they gifted the title to his son. Not a replica. Not a back up. But the actual belt Brodie carried. Class act from aew to do that while also retiring that design.

Tony Khan has seriously went above & beyond for this tribute, like Brodie went above & beyond for AEW. Khan even bought the rights to the song, used in Brodie's tribute, so it will always be "Brodie's song". An absolutely beautiful tribute, for a beautiful man.

I met Jon in 2018 at Cincinnati airport, He was Luke Harper then and obviously popular too.
I was at the waiting lounge and suddenly I saw a BIGGGG dude with a HUGE beard preparing to sit beaide me.
I kept looking at him in awe and He offered his hand to me for a handshake.
His first words to me were "I know my beard is being weird right now, haven't shaped it since ages, I know it's going left." Then He chuckled, Kids kept on coming over for his autographs and photos and He attended every single on of them with such a grace and happiness meanwhile asking His pwn son to say thanks to those fans and how you should always treat them with smile. We chatted for half an hour straight and He'd never stoped speaking, always had jokes in his mind. It felt like we already knew each other and 😭😭😭😭 when this news broke, I went really sad.

The phrase "cut down in his prime" is cliche at this point which is a shame, because it perfectly captured what happened here. His kids are so young, which means he waited until a little later in life to start his family. He had so much talent and that talent was denied creatively for so long. Even then, because he loves his family so much he considered ignoring his own personal gratification for the benefit of his family. Literally, just this year so much of it was coming together for him and the tragedy is he was still denied so much. He was denied the pop from the crowd of his surprise entrance at Rochester. He was denied the world title run that was almost certainly in the offing in the near future. He was denied the extended tenure at the top of the hottest faction in wrestling-a faction that was as hot as it was largely because of him personally.
Most tragically, he was denied so many days with his family. Denied seeing his sons graduate or get married. Denied seeing them have children. Denied a long and much-deserved retirement with his wife. He was right on the precipice of so much and we watched every step of it in real time. He was JUST the champion. I think the whiplash of that is why it hurts so much. There was absolutely, positively no reason to think this was coming and there was absolutely, positively no way that his best days weren't still to come. Put those two things together and it just kills.

Brodie was the guy I was most happy for to finally get a shot in AEW. I still quite vividly remember his mindset during his laste Wrestlemania. He wasn't even on the preshow, he was only working a match at the fan access. His tweet was something along the lines off "I'm not getting my shot, no clue how long this will last, but I will make sure to work the best access match ever."
He was one of the most likeable guys in the business and I'm grateful that we got to see so much of him in AEW. What this company did for him, what it gave him, everyone knows how much he has appreciated it.
It would be ridiculous not to grief when someone has to leave us way too early, but still we ought to celebrate the person he was, the joy he brought to all of us and the fact that his last year must have been (professionally) maybe the best of his life.
Pro Wrestling has suffered a huge loss.
You have lost your life too soon, but thank you for being a part of mine. You're missed, Brodie.

They gave morw credib for new and other talents to invest more timw and effort into AEW as they showed their reception of a co worker in such a brilliant manner.
It also gave justification for thwir sometimes weird booking for wrestlers missing key eps or key storyline eps due to personal reasons.
It gave dog collar match a more darker aura being Mr.Brodie Lee's last match.
I think AEW knew his condition even beforw his fued with Jon Moxley as his main title fued seemed rushed and his fued with Cosy out of the blue. I guess Moxley match's intention was to cement Mr.Brodie as a top guy elevating stars in Dark Order and fresh talent to big picture like Orange Cassidy who Brodie had no reason to go against as a serious character.
