The Lakers and Clippers both have unique lighting designs despite sharing an arena. The Lakers shine brightly on the court but dimly on the crowd. The Clippers like their fans to be seen on TV so they light the seats much more brightly

One very accurate stereotype of us in America is that we freaking love basketball. Even people who don't play wear the shoes. Some regions of the country are over the top, including the Midwest.(Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas) My high school in Illinois had a 2200 seat gym, and big games get 10k easily playing at the local college arena. NBA tickets are crazy expensive, but they have no problem filling up. College hoops are so frenzied with support, it's nuts inside some of those buildings. Parks in every city have public courts.
I'd include KY in that mix too. One of the top basketball states and from someone in Florida like me, basically midwest. Closer to Canada than Florida, that's how I personally define north/south.
Fun fact about Little Caesars Arena, the exterior roof design was originally suppose to be with LED lights, but they just went with a canopy roof with the little caesars arena logo, along with that little mascot
@@TheWideWorldofStadiums Lol. You knew Jordan was the GOAT all along. Don't lie. You freakin hilarious. This is why I'm subbed. Can't wait for NEC football stadiums.

I can understand why you chose daytime views of the arenas but I would have definitely preferred seeing them around dusk which is when they are operating during game days. These arenas look 1000% better when they are lit up at night. They were designed to be seen that way, unlike football stadiums who are supposed to be beautiful at 1pm on a Sunday as well as at night if that makes sense
TD Garden is easily the most accessible arena because it's literally built on top of North Station and you can get off your train and head straight to the arena. It's something that they really have going for them.
@@chocolatechipslime I'm not sure. For one thing there should be parking due to it being near a train station, but that also means non-fans would also being using it due to the train station. I take the train personally whenever I go there as it's so much easier imo. It also helps that the station is connected to multiple lines, which makes it easier for more people to get to the place.
Great video. However, Little Caesars Arena was actually built to replace Joe Louis Arena, home of the Red Wings. It was built specifically for the Wings with the Pistons moving there as kinda an afterthought. I believe they announced their departure from The Palace a year and a half after construction began on Little Caesars.
Its very interesting to compare nba and football stadiums. I would be very thankful if you could make a video about swiss stadiums from the credit suisse super league🇨🇭😉
The way you deliver your bad dad jokes is amazing. And the MECCA is still a great arena in Milwaukee, sad how bad Bradley Center ended up being(wasn't bad when built but was quickly bypassed by everyone else)
@Abdikarim Abdi I live in MKE, and the roof is fashioned in a way where the sound quality is made purer and therefore louder. It’s great for the concerts there, and it amplifies the crowd noise at games.
The MECCA (originally Milwaukee Arena, now UWM Panther Arena) is the third arena in that scene and will appear when you profile the arenas of the Horizon League.
NBA arenas all look similar on the inside. You'll still see a lot of unique, funky venues in college basketball.... especially the University of Oregon's court.
The Barclays Center exterior isn’t “rust-like” - it’s actually rust, on purpose. No, I don’t know why. I lived in the area when it was built and whenever it rained it stained the sidewalk and you had to look out for rust drops.
Most positive about most arenas these days: Fantastic design. Worst: The recent trend of "lights out" on the fans, which makes the arenas seem cold and neutral since you can't appreciate their designs. The spot light on the court does seem to work in some arenas like MSG and Staples Center, but has completely destroyed the atmosphere in many others. Hopefully that trend will turn at some point. Best arenas in my opinion: Staples, ATX Arena, American Airlines Center, Ball Arena, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Golden One Center, Little Ceasars Arena, Chase Center and State Farm Arena.
Forgot to mention the Lakers and Clippers have different seating capacities. Lakers games seat 18,997 while Clippers games seat 19,060. I bet you’re wondering why. Anyway, great video.
Dang man you did OKC dirty. We have a new hotel, convention center, and huge park next to the arena. They’re building another park across the highway and restaurants and bars in those vacant areas that they tore down.
A couple fun facts about Vivint arena in Utah. As for the current look of the arena it's actually only a couple years old. The covered entry outside was added along with a few other cool features. The building did also play home to a arena football team at one point. And a minor league hockey team until they built a arena of there own. Which was also used during the 2002 winter games. The black seats in Vivint replaced green seats that had been there since the building opened. And as far as the jazz one of the teams primary colors used to be purple. Might get a few extra points from you now huh!
AT&T Center is also home to the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, accounting for the neighboring barns. The domed structure next door is Freeman Coliseum, the original home of the rodeo (and again for the 2021 edition), also home to the WNBA's Stars one season when AT&T was under renovation, before they moved to Las Vegas. Speaking of which, how about the arenas of the WNBA? Some are shared with the NBA, but others aren't.
This video was a lot more funnier than I could imagine. But on a real note, the only NBA arena I've ever seen in person was the Heat's arena, back when it was still American Airlines in about 2015

The reason Target Center has two levels of seating is because it’s connected to the Minneapolis Skyway System. The connection is between the lower level of seating and arena floor.
What many who have not been to a WWE TV event in person realize is that they create the illusion of a full arena, but in reality they use only about 30 to 50% of the seats. They block off entire sections not only for the Titantron and entrance ramp, but usually one entire side (in part for placing TV cameras in just the right spots).
Everything was pretty accurate, but I’ll add that where the Brooklyn nets play is where the Brooklyn dodgers once played on the same site in the 1950’s (now known as the La Dodgers), and lastly in regards to Toronto raptors they moved out of the skydome and played at maple leaf gardens in 1999 while the stadium was getting built (pre season games)

In Oklahoma City, Paycom Center is named after the company built and hq there; it's old name, Chesapeake Energy arena was also named for an OKC-based company.
