La Palma volcano: Drone video shows new vent spurting hot ash as rivers of lava continue flowing

- Drone footage shot on Wednesday showed the extent of devastation that lava streams from the Cumbre Vieja volcano are causing on Spain's La Palma island since the eruption started over a month ago.
In another video, Spain's Geological and Mining Institute (IGME) and the Higher Council of Scientific Investigation (CSIC) showed the opening of a new vent spurting pyroclasts and a huge cloud of white smoke as the main vent kept spurting lava.
Rivers of red-hot lava have engulfed almost 800 hectares of land, destroying about 2,000 buildings and many banana plantations.

Pyroclastic eruption is very dangerous and often fatal. When the pyroclastic flow starts, it is impossible to escape because there is no time. These people risk too much for a little comfort. No one has to move permanently but only temporarily.
Well, its not the eruption that makes it fatal, its the standing to close to it that makes it fatal. Stay away and it becomes non lethal. If any humans cant understand that concept , i suggest getting closer to get a good look.
This volcano is not making any pyroclastic flows, so there is little danger to people at the moment

Some people are thinking it got into natural gas/oil deposits. My husband used to be in the oil field and there’s been scenes from this volcano that looks like an oil rig blew.

There are zero deaths from this eruption so far, because the authorities have evacuated and cordoned off the danger area.

It started on September 11. And it will stop when it stops.

@@md_free85 He interpreted the comment as if climate change is CAUSING volcanism. Yes volcanoes can affect the climate short term if the eruption is large enough, but it tends to cool, not warm, as volcanoes are part of the natural carbon cycle. La Palma is nowhere near that mark

Volcanoes are not destruction. They are the likely locations where Earth’s life began, thousands of feet under the water, incredible temperatures and pressures.....yet life finds a way.
Volcanic ash is the best natural fertilizer ever. Which is why some of the most fertile farm land is around volcanic mountains.
Land exists.......on our water world, because of active volcanism. It started billions of years ago, and the conditions here are such, that it is constantly recycling and recreating new land.

Amazing that a perfectly natural phenomenon makes people start pushing their own personal religious agendas. There is nothing miraculous about volcanism. It is an incredible, amazing, normal event, always.
You are right volcanos aren't anything new . I think what has gotten everyone worked up with the religious profhecy is it's the first time in human history that we can put our ears and eyes anywhere is the world instantly . Our cell phones , computers and internet give us a window on natural disasters that the masses never had in the past . I can remember watching old Tarzan jungle movies where the volcano god requires human sacrifices into the volcano to appease him . I am glad all that superstitious lore is fading away .

There is even a description of what that punishment will be like in His Book , The Bible.
If you are correct then you have nothing to fear from a fantasy do you ? But if Almighty God , The Astronomical Intellect that created Everything is correct then where does that leave you ?
