The fact that they tried to eat and appreciate our culture is something we should be grateful about !
Whenever you are exposed to new culture, you are unaware about a lot of things.

No kheer kadam? It's THE BEST! Rosogolla encapsulated in a layer of dried milk. You take a bite and the syrup drips from your lips. EVERY time I visit it's the first thing on my list. Even tho the best place to get it is as far away from DumDum you can get & still be in Kolkata. As for ilisa, every Bengali knows to ask for the belly, because it has the less bones. But even the boniest piece is well worth the effort.

Honestly saying, These are not typical bengali dish except the ILISH Fish. Ilish itself so flavour full so you don't need to put anything to make this wrong.
And others dishes are more like a mix and match dish. Cooking style is bengali but Dishes are different.
The chef put his own creativity into the typical bengali dishes. Though he didn't compromised with the authenticity.

Khichdi and pulao not a same thing khichdi is just a boiled rice and dal's and alu and then we add masala on it but pulao is a total defferent thing 😅❤ it's tastes sweet but khichdi is kind of spicy with mashalas .....

At least one veg dish should have been there( apart from sweets). Bengali veg dishes are another level. You should do one more, it’s not enough!!!

Tell me one thing at first, why do you guys think bengal means only Calcutta, there are many more regions and all those have different foods according to tastes and spices used ... At least try them once.
I'm from Kharagpur (u know IIT Kharagpur),that's 3hours away from Kolkata, we have different tastebud than a Kolkata-n , also bankura side peoples, north side peoples , and many other regions, have their different tastes and spices ingredients also different
PS: most of the dishes of Kolkata are now fusion.
