- This exotic variety is from Thailand with fruit similar to ‘Nam Doc Mai’. The name loosely translated means that the mango is so good that even a Brahmin would trade his own wife for the mango.
It is often eaten green when it is sweet and crispy like an apple. When ripe, it is deep orange and very sweet and rich with no fiber.

Just had a locally grown mango from sunrise Florida and they called it KAI so I’m guessing this is what they meant. It looked very similar but I let it ripen and it got more yellow on the skin. Very delicious. Definitely tasted like candy.

I grow both and definitely prefer the Brahm Kai Mia.

I'm confused. Chris says it's disease resistant, but then says it's susceptible to anthracnose?
Ive grown this fruit for over 10 years and had no issues with anthracnose.
Why don't you eat it green and with white flesh?

I don't know how to describe it. All I know that...overly smell with a sticky sweetness.
