Trolololol !!! I like to think about matchups as a how many in 10 type of deal. Bronn said he could beat the Mountain but only if he fought flawlessly. This is easily one of the best fight scenes in GOT. I love how Jorah (A exceptionally skilled fighter) is struggling against these other fighters, seemed very realistic and brutal. I loved it!
@@davidhone8708 Jorah was a great fight but he was no Arthur Dayn. Not even Barristen Selmy and Jamie Lannister could match Dayn in combat. He was that good.
*Life: the Ser Jorah Mormont way*; *A general chronological summary* - - War...zoned by the Greyjoy Rebellion. - Knightzoned by King Robert (lol that is a horrible word, but still, the proudest day of his life, for his valiant efforts in battle) - Husbandzoned by marrying a beautiful, yet highly strung and snobby new wife expecting a lot more wealth from her Hightower backgrounds, greedily costing Jorah everything of the comparatively little he had, and never being grateful. - Reluctant-slaver-zoned; to keep paying for his wife's luxuries and expensive living. - Enemy-of-the-Realm-zoned mostly by Lord Eddard Stark when his slaver activities became apparent; wife leaves him shortly. - No-son-of-mine-zoned by his dad Jeor 'fookin' Mormont. - Lone-ranger zoned by life in general, wandering Essos, a wandering Mormont bear so far from kin, hearth and home. - annnd then we reach the years where he is famously friend zoned by the apparent, true love of his life Daenerys. - Moreover being enemy zoned by her, and now being 'um well I dunno zoned' after Season 5. Oh and lets not forget, greyscale-zoned...probably on a fast track to 'plague ridden painful death zoned'. This poor, wounded bear. All he wants is the sweet, sweet honey... **Daenerys cough**
I like to think the fight between Jorah and the water dancer is similar to what would have happened between Meryn Trant and Syrio Forel if Forel had had his REAL sword rather than his wooden training one (apart from the twist ending of course). I have no doubt Forel was better than that gladiator, there's no doubt that Jorah is better than Trant and yet Jorah couldn't even TOUCH the water dancer in the pit. I also like the fact that not only Dany, but also Tyrion and possibly even Daario were concerned for Jorah during this scene. Daario and Jorah fought back-to-back during the taking of Yunkai and regardless of Jorah's betrayal of Dany that's not something a man like Daario would forget.
ArcaneAzmadi Have you considered that it might have gone exactly that way and Syrio might not be dead? We've had absolutely no confirmation of his death aside from an offscreen scream and his people have shapeshifters that have taken a special interest in Arya. Trant never even talks about beating him. I would be willing to bet money that by the end of the season, Trant confesses to Arya that he never killed Syrio.
Eomatrix Huh, you know, I HADN'T actually considered that. A lot of people had suggested that Syrio had killed Trant and was secretly a Faceless Man masquerading as him before, but most people (myself included) had dismissed that theory already and, if not yet, the last episode would certainly have made you do so (so you're saying Syrio is a pedophile, huh?). But because of that first theory, I hadn't considered the much simpler possibility that Syrio had simply ESCAPED- and considering this is the closest Arya has ever gotten to Trant since his fight with Syrio (she doesn't meet him at all in the books) that actually DOES seem possible. On the other hand, she may just let him know that it's Syrio she's killing him for before he dies and that'd be enough of a connection. Who can say these days?
ArcaneAzmadi My thoughts on it is when you hear the off screen scream and a clatter of a weapon, the sound you hear is actually a metallic one. Syrio had a wooden sword so who's sword other than Trant's fell to the ground?
ArcaneAzmadi I so agree about Syrio. I loved his scenes with Arya. "What do we say to death?" He stood his ground to give her a chance to escape. "Run child." I wish we could have seen more of him. Daario was very interesting to watch when Jorah appeared, but I'm not sure I read him correctly. I think Hizdahr recognized Jorah instantly and was on the verge of giving Daenerys an out. He's given her sound advice despite her insults. Daario silenced him, maybe only because Daario knew Jorah showing up would throw Daenerys off stride and she'd need to collect herself. I didn't see a concern for Jorah, maybe a certain respect that Jorah would take it this far, something I don't think Daario would do himself. Once Jorah was up on the queen's platform I think the eye contact quickly agreed that they were not going to fight each other, but would fight together to rescue the queen. I wondered if they would have done better to remain in the exit tunnel and defeneded the entrance along with the unsullied. Seems better than allowing the Harpy to encircle them. But then of course we had Drogon's scheduled appearance. They had to be out in the open for that. I refrain from comment on Daario's opinion of the banishment. Although I was glad to see the script didn't include Daario's attendance for Banishment Round 2. Daario's behavior with Hizdahr on the platform was not in the queen's best interests, not if she's attempting to improve her public image. Daario underestimated the opposition they would meet at Yunkai's backdoor and they barely got out of their alive. I could see how he would appreciate Jorah and Greyworm being there. Tyrion pushed as hard as he dared to put a stop to it. But he also trusts Jorah to know his own mind. If Dany had not shown any concern for Jorah's health I would have seen her as completely inhuman. She has shown precious little concern for his well-being throughout the course of their history. It is long overdue, shockingly overdue. She barely ever thanked him. That is why I cannot see her taking his hand as any token of redemption. She has always accepted his support whenever she needed rescue.
+T_bus He get it before the scene in this video happend, so everyone who watched this video and comments on it is assumed to know this already, so it's not a spoiler, more like a reminder xD
+T_bus Make him your most hated character so he will live. Actually come to think of it since the producers are sick and tired of waiting for George RR Martin to release the new book the show is now in their hands. Characters might now have better job security
Jorah and Dany's facial expressions are the reason I watch this video. No words are said, but the way they look at each other throughout the battle says everything we need to know. Peerless work by Iain Glen and Emilia Clarke.
Hodor will sit on the iron throne. Hodor of the House Hodor, First of His Name, King of Hodor and the First Hodors, Lord of the Hodors, and Protector of the Hodor.
I hate how Dany acts disgusted by the fighting in these games.. She's perfectly cool with feeding people to her dragons, doesn't make her sick to her stomach, nothing like that... But people CHOOSING to fight and die in these tournaments, her stomach just can't handle it... So stupid lol, makes no sense.
Hate? I love this show and I enjoy her character.. But it's ridiculous how she acts during the fighting pits scenes... She locked her dragons up because Drogon killed a little girl. And then she went down there and fed a living person to them.. While she watched without hesitation.. She's watched her Unsullied slaughter people.. She's watched Daario kill people.. She watched Drogo tear out a guys tongue through his throat... Never once was she disgusted or anything negative by it... But then when two men CHOOSE to fight eachother, she's utterly disgusted by it and can't bear to watch? It just doesn't make any sense at all.
Maybe because Jorah is one of her closest friends and advisors and she doesn't want to watch him get killed duh. Not to mention also daario and khal drogo and others were killing the enemies. The answer to ur question is pretty obvious dude smh
she's not disgusted by the killing, she's disgusted by the cheering. she kills because she wants to win a war. not for enjoyment over the killing itself. it's the show's fault though if it can't articulate this well enough.
Toa Infernus Jorah had pointed out that an arakh is great on horseback, but is less effective in hand to hand. I think I saw Qotho (Drogo bloodrider) make the same leap at Jorah as the Meereenese spearman made at the Dothraki in Daznak.
+Infernus The Slayer: Nah I don't think he's a Bloodrider; his skin and hair colour don't match; not to mention his hair is not braided with bells, nor is he using an Arakh; and he is using a shield. No, the first guy who got gutted by the Braavosi was a Dothraki; I reckon the guy who got speared was a generic brute slave; former soldier/outcast of some army, maybe even captured Northerner from Westeros; otherwise, he's from Essos, former Merc maybe? As far as I can tell; There is Jorah (Westerosi Knight), Axe-Fighter (Summer Isles), Rapier-Fighter (Braavosi), Arakh (Dothraki), Spearman (Mereeneese), Sword and Shield (Our mystery fighter).
When Daenarys asked Jorah to remove his helm I was expecting : My name is Ser Jorah Mormont of House Mormont, Knight of the seven, exiled lord of the bear island, son of a betrayed father, husband of a demanding wife, and I will have my revenge, in this life or the next.
JudoMMA1 Yeah, I think they've had Jorah fight better in other battles, actually. But a big advantage that the Braavosi has is that they are accustomed to fighting with no shield.
JudoMMA1 Well, he possibly was the first sword of Braavos after Syrio Forel or something of that class... At least they kept a bit of realism, no great fighter can win over all different styles and weapons, and level of exhaustion from previous fights plays role, with that needle of his he wasn´t so tired.
He could fight as free man (slavery oficially forbiden) or as volunteer when he was confident enough. In Ancient Rome there were also volunteer gladiators, even from noble families, who took that risk for glory/prestige.
Jorah Mormant is one of my favorite characters. So many emotions in the scene. The best part for me is when Daario says, "Shut your mouth". A man in love with Danaerys, and clearly who understands the gravity of the moment politically, but also for her personally. Just a great line.
When I saw the water dancer, I was like "oh shit, Jorah is so screwed." And I couldn't be wrong. Good thing that Meereenese champion killed him on the last second, I thought that was it for Jorah.
He would have killed Jorah if it was not for his hesitation. What was he waiting for? This is not Gladiator where the emporor will decide if they live or die.
I think the producers have realized what they have in Ian Glen. His part has gotten meatier as the show progresses. He is heroic and heartbreaking. I'm a sucker for this stuff but I really feel Mormont is the heart and soul of this show. I say remake Ladyhawk right now with Ian Glen as Rutger Hauer's character. ( sorry I forgot the name)
gaggles5 He did, but it's covered. I don't think she'll get it just by taking his hand that has the greyscale. IMO - someone would have to directly touch the greyscale.
Hidious Vanity The Meereenese was odd man out. The Bravosi had Jorah down and looked to the queen on whether or not to deliver the death blow. All three men waited on the queen's decision. She never gave a sigal so the Bravosi took the decision upon himself and moved to take the kill. It was that moment that gave the Meereenese the excuse to backstab the Bravosi. If he killed him while they were all still waiting on the queen, it would have been dishonorable. The Meereenese had already had time to decide he would prefer to Jorah as the easier kill. But he made a mistake afterward in allowing Jorah that much time to recover.
+Keep701 pretty much this. he was looking to see which he would rather fight and who he could beat. that braavosi was way too fast for the third man so he took him out. he'd rather fight the old fart Jorah
This is one of my most favorite scenes in the whole series. Jorah Mormont kicks ass even at his current age; I bet he was twice as good in his heyday, like at the Siege of Pyke for instance. Also, it was a treat to see the Braavosi water dancer and the Bearded Priest of Norvos, just for a glimpse at how Syrio Forel and Areo Hotah would fight. Good stuff
He did pretty bad, though. He almost lost to the first spear fighter and the sword fighter was clearly better than him. The last fight looked like he was about to lose as well until he pulled off a flashy move that looks cool but only hit home because the script said so - no way this could surprise any fighter at this level.
7gromojar They're not booing him, they are saying "Kill the champion". This is what the Romans used to do, when the crows holds their thumbs up the winning gladiator would show mercy, if they were holding their thumbs down and booing like in this scene, it means they wanted the winning gladiator to finish the loser off.
7gromojar It looked to me they were booing Jorah because the Meereenese champion was skewered on Jorah's sword. The crowd cheered Jorah prior to that. The Roman audience expressed opinion, but only Caesar rendered the verdict. Jorah stood as victor only a very brief time before throwing the spear at the Harpy. The party broke up quickly after that......or was just getting started.
I can only think shat you happen if it was like this: westerosi knight: barristan selmy water dancer: syrio forel meerenese spearman: Oberyn martell the dothraki bloodrider: khal drogo the shirtless dude:strong belwas Just imagine the fight between those badass.
The guy with the rapier was the best fighter in the pit. His attacks were so skilled and elegant, aiming for the eyes and points on the limbs to whittle down the enemy. I wonder what Daenerys would've done with him had he won; assuming she wasn't assassinated by the son of the harpy that snuck behind her.
+WitchHunter93 Absolutely the best there, yes. I love that even the dude with the spear knew that, hence why he stabbed him in the back so he'd only have Jorah to fight.
+TheDefeatedGamer Syrio didn't have a proper rapier though. (Trant would have been dogmeat otherwise) He fought with a practice sword which Meryl Trant chopped in half.
Combatants: Westerosi Knight (Jorah) Bravo/Water Dancer Norvosi Axeman (similar to Areo Hotah) Ghiscari Spearman Dothraki Bloodrider (without a horse lol) Sothoryosi Warrior (just a guess because I don't recognize the style and Sothoryosi are mentioned as being present in the book)
I really think Jorah is the unsung hero of game of thrones. He’s a honorable man who did dishonorable things for his wife who didn’t deserve his love and was banished from his home only to show up in a completely different world and find himself looking for redemption from king Robert but he ends up falling in love with Dany and her vision of Westeros. The entire time he like a fish out of water but he holds on to his knightly ways and follows dany blindly not only for real love but also for the love of duty to make her queen.
roundedges2 and also the same as the ones used in so many martial arts films from like 25+ years ago. its an actual maneouvre though i don't know its name. its not just 'Achilles' signature move'.
jherrenor You might find the name of the move on RUclips. Skallagrim has a channel up. He is deep into weaponry, armor, combat, seems to know a lot about the medieval period and beyond. I'm finding his info very handy for GoT, difference between longsword, broad sword, tons of stuff.
jherrenor It's cool. We all associate what is new to us with what we know so far.One fighter does look a bit like a rider of rohan, I didn't see the Achiless move so I'll take your word for it. What's fun is when people start seeing something they like repeated elsewhere often enough and start tracing back looking for an origin. I get a cozy feeling at seeing how connected we remain with our ancestry.....well except for the mistakes.
You can really see how scared she got at 4:15 when she thought he was launching that spear at her. She shook her head almost as if to say "please no". This is superb acting imo.
I appreciate this seen for all the different pit fighters. Like the Bravoosi water dancer, a Westerosi knight, a Norvosi axe man, a Ghiscari spearman, and a Dothraki screamer. But does any know where that shirtless guy with the weird shield was from.
Darrio annoys me how he thinks he's better than Jorah in every way. bitch, just because you slept with the queen of dragons. SMH I prefer Jorah as the Khalesi's protector 100x more
All of jorahs fights seemed so real like he was better than everyone he was fighting but he was still struggling it was still extremely difficult and a mistake could cost him dearly that’s just how it was back then unless you had Ser Barristan and Jamie type skill or Clegane Size and Strength u weren’t gonna have many “easy” fights even if you are better
Congratulations J-bear, you successfully fought your way back into the friendzone.

Pre-9/11 security, mate.

Anybody else see that the Mereen fighter went all Achilles with that jump stab?!
+Sam Schacht As in shield up, to block the blow, spear through the neck? yeah. instant hard-on.
It indeed reminded me directly of Brat Pitt's portrayal of Achilles fighting Hector in Troy.
Troy was also written by David Benioff so it was a clear nod to that.

Thats an actual move you know. But yeah, very Achilies.

Rapiers? Spears? Shotels?
Jorah: DEX BUILDS!!!! *Roll stab*
Garl Vinland Dark souls 2 player approves.
well what is it?
Dark Souls, yes.
Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that Jorah was able to throw the spear so fast and accurately with his injured arm ? Badass
I like the nod of gratitude from Jorah after the Spear guy saves him. 3:20
+BreakingDead dark souls honor
Spear guy should've waited two seconds. Then Jorah would've been stabbed in the face and he could've backstabbed the other guy at the same time.
+Rene Ferrer Then he'd be booed and the crowd would hate him. Gladiators live longer if they're both skilled and put on a good show.
White Knight Of the Internet Better hated than dead. He didn't live longer in this case, did he?
Rene Ferrer Had he stabbed the Water Dancer after he killed Jorah, he would have been executed by the Slavers in charge of the Arena. Anyone who puts a bad face on the Gladiator Fights will cause significant drops in audience attendance at their fights, therefore they have no use.

@@davidhone8708 Jorah was a great fight but he was no Arthur Dayn. Not even Barristen Selmy and Jamie Lannister could match Dayn in combat. He was that good.
@@davidhone8708 I think it was 2 Vs 6 which eventually led to 1v4.
A proper 1v4 though.

+Nazael Rahl THE FRIENDZONE RAGE!
*Life: the Ser Jorah Mormont way*;
*A general chronological summary* -
- War...zoned by the Greyjoy Rebellion.
- Knightzoned by King Robert (lol that is a horrible word, but still, the proudest day of his life, for his valiant efforts in battle)
- Husbandzoned by marrying a beautiful, yet highly strung and snobby new wife expecting a lot more wealth from her Hightower backgrounds, greedily costing Jorah everything of the comparatively little he had, and never being grateful.

Jarin Jove ?????????
ArcaneAzmadi Well, if he touched him, the water dancer would be dead. It still could've been the Rob Roy situation.

Jorah: "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!"
Jorah Mormont is definitely my favourite character, well, favourite alive one at least
I'm saying to say this but jorah is dead, he has greyscale.
Briana Leigh Thanks for the spoilers ;D
+T_bus He get it before the scene in this video happend, so everyone who watched this video and comments on it is assumed to know this already, so it's not a spoiler, more like a reminder xD
+T_bus He's not dead tho, he just has something that will kill him. It takes time..

The words of House Hodor: "Hodor Hodor Hodor!"

She might think killing shouldn't be entertainment, but it should rather be a punishment and a warning against criminal people.
It's entirely possible that she has some kind of personality disorder, given her family history.
When the fighter with the spear at 2:26 jumps and stabs the other guy like that, it's so fucking cool.
OmsoiTekken Yeah, the move was so Achilles on Hector
tantan tan I kept thinking of Achilles versus Boagrius.
yeah same moves on that one too, except, he used a sword :P
When Daenarys asked Jorah to remove his helm I was expecting :
My name is Ser Jorah Mormont of House Mormont, Knight of the seven, exiled lord of the bear island, son of a betrayed father, husband of a demanding wife, and I will have my revenge, in this life or the next.
+Atem0007 I lol'd at husband of a demanding wife
Hahaha husband of a demanding wife😂😂😂
Damn Jorah got owned by that Braavosi
JudoMMA1 Yeah, I think they've had Jorah fight better in other battles, actually. But a big advantage that the Braavosi has is that they are accustomed to fighting with no shield.
JudoMMA1 Well, he possibly was the first sword of Braavos after Syrio Forel or something of that class...
At least they kept a bit of realism, no great fighter can win over all different styles and weapons, and level of exhaustion from previous fights plays role, with that needle of his he wasn´t so tired.
MTlelek The first sword of Bravos was a slave in Mareen's fighting pits? LOL
He could fight as free man (slavery oficially forbiden) or as volunteer when he was confident enough. In Ancient Rome there were also volunteer gladiators, even from noble families, who took that risk for glory/prestige.
JudoMMA1 I wouldn't, cause I have armor and a big fucking sword!
Awww. Dany actually cares. Look at that face.
That's the entire point of putting Jorah in this predicament to see that Dany cares

Jorah Mormant is one of my favorite characters. So many emotions in the scene. The best part for me is when Daario says, "Shut your mouth". A man in love with Danaerys, and clearly who understands the gravity of the moment politically, but also for her personally. Just a great line.
4:18
Daario - "Protect the boobs!"
"We, who are about to die, salute you!"
That Water Dancing is amazing. I love Jorah, but part of me wishes the Water Dancer won.
Andrew Raslan he got moves
Andrew Raslan I liked him too, but not enough to see him kill Jorah.
2:10 Bravoosi waterdance
Ikhsan Ks I wouldn't nance around like that, to even study that shit is simply to practice ways to die
imagine Arya could've moved like that
Ikhsan Ks Shes better off with armor and a big fucking sword!
Ikhsan Ks by the look of your picture, I could say the same about you
Ikhsan Ks Yeah that was pretty impressive :D
When I saw the water dancer, I was like "oh shit, Jorah is so screwed." And I couldn't be wrong. Good thing that Meereenese champion killed him on the last second, I thought that was it for Jorah.
MrDibara The Braavosi was practising ways to die.
He would have killed Jorah if it was not for his hesitation. What was he waiting for? This is not Gladiator where the emporor will decide if they live or die.
Mr33500 Jorah looked at Dany one last time. The bravo also looked that way and chuckled to himself, which gave the Meerenese his chance
@@SantomPh dany was going through so many different emotions while watching Jorah
( sorry I forgot the name)
plus he makes womens hearts melt
4:58 the friend-zone force field just took a good hit there.
Vanity is the greatest savior of heroes.
No, plot armour is the biggest
Mr33500 That is very true.
shehan soysa plot armour doesn't seem to work very well in a world of ice and fire..
Philip van den Hurk the plot armor is temporarily at best but it works.
Philip van den Hurk Well it did wonders for Jon at Hardhome, and i can't think of a single time that Daenarys' plot armour failed her.
In the last seconds did he not touch her with the greyscale hand?
gaggles5 He did, but it's covered. I don't think she'll get it just by taking his hand that has the greyscale. IMO - someone would have to directly touch the greyscale.
The Kreative Kreature simple contact with someone who is infected is enough afaik...
LightmarexX I still doubt that Dany will get it.
I'd call that Iain just helping Emilia to their next mark.
gaggles5 is he gonna end like stannis daughter or worst?
gaggles5 Also grayscale is between his wrist and lower forearm.
What the hell was the guy with the spear doing from 2:30 to 3:00, checking his facebook?
Hidious Vanity
Status Update: "Totally about to kill this Westori jackass . . . . looks like I'm up!"
#thatspeartho
Hidious Vanity Sizing up the competition. He killed the more skilled opponent, at least judging from the Braavosi vs Jorah.
+Hidious Vanity Well, it ain't gonna check itself.......
so nobody in the crowd noticed the tens of people who all brought in harpy masks?
That is what I was thinking too when i saw the scene xD
MrTreeckoFTW They could've hid it in their cloaks. Not like the Unsullied would have metal detectors anyway
Jonathan Tan They actually do have metal detectors.
@@jonathantan2469 were the harpies there to assassinate Dany?
The Braavosi guy with the rapier; holy hell, I would not be comfortable facing that.
4:09 "Oh quit whining, you'll be dead in two minutes."
4:30 "The Judean people's front!"
Are you sure that isn't the People's Front of Judea?
Lischofph36rd0r No, he's over there. "Splitter!"
seriously how shit is the security that these guys keep sneaking in?
I think they somehow hide the masks and THEN put the masks on when it was time to attack
it seems like it would be a pretty hard item to conceal if being searched
it's wonderful to see how a master like Ridley Scott continues to influence even the world of television. Great sequence.
Poor Jorah. He seems like such a nice guy.
You mean friend?
When J bear spoke it gave me chills...
"Your grace--"
"Shut your mouth."
LMFAO Hilarious xD
Wow, after watching the scene 5th time I realised that audience didn't like Jorah's win. I was so happy and proud of him, that I haven't noticed that.
7gromojar He killed the Meereenese Champion.
7gromojar They're in Mereene. They are the people of Mereene. Jorah just killed the Champion of Mereene.
7gromojar
It looked to me they were booing Jorah because the Meereenese champion was skewered on Jorah's sword. The crowd cheered Jorah prior to that. The Roman audience expressed opinion, but only Caesar rendered the verdict. Jorah stood as victor only a very brief time before throwing the spear at the Harpy. The party broke up quickly after that......or was just getting started.
The slim sword guy needs his own spin off show
I can only think shat you happen if it was like this:
westerosi knight: barristan selmy
water dancer: syrio forel
meerenese spearman: Oberyn martell
the dothraki bloodrider: khal drogo
the shirtless dude:strong belwas

Got backstabbed, totally deserved it. But spear guy fell for the ol' roll and poke
+WitchHunter93 And the best fighter with that weapon? Syrio Forel: first sword of Bravos, there is no way he is dead.
+TheDefeatedGamer Syrio didn't have a proper rapier though. (Trant would have been dogmeat otherwise) He fought with a practice sword which Meryl Trant chopped in half.
This is where you can see the many diverse fighting styles in the GoT world.
On that note, that Bravos swordsman was beast.
Combatants:
Westerosi Knight (Jorah)
Bravo/Water Dancer
Norvosi Axeman (similar to Areo Hotah)
Ghiscari Spearman
Dothraki Bloodrider (without a horse lol)
Sothoryosi Warrior (just a guess because I don't recognize the style and Sothoryosi are mentioned as being present in the book)

Jorah: "Rollstab op, Well! What is it?."
Mereenese champion: "u foking wearing dark wood grain ring, lrn2play fggt"
I love Jorah!!! Wooohhh!! ☺😀😄
I love this moment when she finally forgives him and takes his hand
I really think Jorah is the unsung hero of game of thrones. He’s a honorable man who did dishonorable things for his wife who didn’t deserve his love and was banished from his home only to show up in a completely different world and find himself looking for redemption from king Robert but he ends up falling in love with Dany and her vision of Westeros. The entire time he like a fish out of water but he holds on to his knightly ways and follows dany blindly not only for real love but also for the love of duty to make her queen.
This makes him a valuable asset to Jon's squad beyond the wall
The music is so awesome when all the people in masks are revealed! I could listen and watch that part all day haha
the last guy with the spear looks like a rider of rohan from lord of the rings
Actually That spear leap was the exact move Brad Pitt Achilles used on the giant guy except with a sword thrust to the neck
roundedges2 and also the same as the ones used in so many martial arts films from like 25+ years ago. its an actual maneouvre though i don't know its name. its not just 'Achilles' signature move'.
jherrenor You might find the name of the move on RUclips.
I get a cozy feeling at seeing how connected we remain with our ancestry.....well except for the mistakes.
roundedges2 He actualy used the "move" when fighting Hector too, with spear.
You can really see how scared she got at 4:15 when she thought he was launching that spear at her. She shook her head almost as if to say "please no". This is superb acting imo.
Friggin awesome!
Now that's living a life
When the harpys appear I get goosebumps- that chanting oooooooh
Dany claps, Ser Jorah nods, Daario thinks to himself.........I totally underestimated the amount of fight in *THAT* particular bear.
When I first watched that scene, I thought he was trying to kill Daenarys. at first, throwing the spear.
+Dean Cutler Think that was the thought on everyone's mind haha
+Dean Cutler I'm still not sure if he wasn't. Haha!
Jorah must have been an awesome fighter in his day to still be formidable at his age

Jorah is one of the most likeable characters in the show.
I like how the last guy with the spear killed the Bravosi swordsman while his back was turned. He would rather fight Jorah than a water dancer. lol.
"Your Grace?"
"Shut your mouth" Love this guy
I appreciate this seen for all the different pit fighters. Like the Bravoosi water dancer, a Westerosi knight, a Norvosi axe man, a Ghiscari spearman, and a Dothraki screamer. But does any know where that shirtless guy with the weird shield was from.
that was a bad ass scene ! I love u Ser Jorah .

Jorah surely likes that sand.

Omg yes
AUTOBOTGJB1997 The water-dancer will look fucking epic.

I really like this fight, there are no fast edits and the camra isnt to close unlike other fight scenes in this show like the Mountain and the viper.
the proper water dancer fighter was such a great addition to this scene... always wish you could see more of it...
Bravosi dude got robbed.
Darrio annoys me how he thinks he's better than Jorah in every way. bitch, just because you slept with the queen of dragons. SMH I prefer Jorah as the Khalesi's protector 100x more
Ashley Morales Dario actually shows respect for him
All of jorahs fights seemed so real like he was better than everyone he was fighting but he was still struggling it was still extremely difficult and a mistake could cost him dearly that’s just how it was back then unless you had Ser Barristan and Jamie type skill or Clegane Size and Strength u weren’t gonna have many “easy” fights even if you are better
Anyone else want a line of dialogue that went "Ser Jorah what are you doing?"
Jorah:"I don't have anywhere else to go."
When are Jorah and Dany gonna hook up?
Jorah would do well in Chivalry Medieval Warfare free for all
