"As the larger and wealthier country Azerbaijan has always had the upper hand in these disputes." Not only is this wrong but this misses the whole point.
The reason for the recent conflicts is that, in the 1990s, Azerbaijan wasn't much wealthier and the population disparity wasn't as great. Now, Azerbaijan does, indeed, have the upper hand and that is why it is increasing its activity in the region

Azerbaijan knew so well that invading Armenia could result in a war with Iran and possible Western sanctions, plus Israel won't support them either (Azerbaijan definitely resents Israel after how Jewish lobbies ditched Turkey and Azerbaijan over Armenian genocide debate at the US Congress in 2019, and how Israel allied with Saudi Arabia and other Muslim states in secretly besieging Turkey). By limiting the fight to Karabakh (which is internationally recognised Azerbaijani territory), they seek to rather isolate Armenia further. Azerbaijan is also benefited by growing tensions between Russia and Armenia, which Putin increasingly becomes friendly to Erdogan and Aliyev to do so. In the end, Azerbaijan still made their war legal because it technically occurred in home soil. But who knows what would Azerbaijan do next, and history suggested that they might not stop for just one victory.

Why doesn't the Taiwan argument work here.
-Nargono was never governed by Azerbaijan state
      -it is populated Armenians
-the Russians divided them that way to ensure the Azeri and Armenia fight among themselves and not Russian and later soviet empire.

      - It’s populated by armenians only now, because during first NK war (1990’s) Azerbaijanis in Karabakh were forced to leave. If you check the demography figures done by russian empire during 19th centry, you can see that azerbaijanis were always more than armenians in the region. 70/30 in NK, 95/5 % in 7 regions surrounding NK which Armenia kept under occupation for 30 years

It lacks nuance to suggest that Russia only became a poor ally to Armenia because it got stuck in Ukraine. Although the Azeris have a diverse group of military suppliers, Russia is one of their main ones. Moscow has been supplying both sides. And given the larger size of the Azeri economy, it's impact on oil and gas prices... it is an economically better partner for Russia than Armenia. It buys more weapons, it buys more of other Russian imports. In spite of all the agreements signed with Yerevan, Russia has been disengaged as an actual ally to Armenia for quite a while. Putin had not stabbed Armenia in the back yet but it was in the cards.

The UK economy is facing significant challenges

effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have
      disrupted businesses, supply chains, and
      consumer confidence. Lockdowns, restrictions,
and shifts in consumer behavior have led to
reduced economic activity in various sectors.
      Additionally, the uncertainty surrounding the
UK's exit from the European Union, commonly

It would be nice if TLDR makes sure it has accurate information the next time they post a video about a conflict.
First of all, a country can not "invade" its own, internationally recognized territory, which, by the way, is recognized as a part of Azerbaijan by the Armenian government as well. What you are stating is exactly like saying "The United States of America invaded Pennsylvania."
Secondly, hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis were internally displaced as a result of Armenia's attack on Nagorno-Karabakh and surrounding 7 territories. They did not took over just Nagorno-Karabakh like you showcase with your map. In fact, 20% of Azerbaijan's internationally recognized territory had been under Armenian occupation for about 30 years since early 90s.
Also, "Azerbaijan has always had the upper hand"? Seriously dude? When the Soviet Union dissolved, Armenians had a lot more military supply, thanks to which they invaded Nagorno-Karabakh and other territories of Azerbaijan.
Get your facts straight for the next video, do not lean towards information you get from one side of the conflict. Good job otherwise, cheers.

Where did the 200k Armenians in 1989 in Baku alone go? Several hundred thousand Armenians were also driven from Azerbaijan.

It's a pity since all of this could've been avoided if the two sides set up a union type territory allowing freedom of movements between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Maybe not land ownership rights until trust develops, but Armenia tried to forcibly annex occupied territory, which resulted in them losing it. This is wildly missing the reality of the situation. We are not just talking about whether Azerbaijan takes Karabakh. They could easily conquer all of Armenia. While Turkey puts up a show to act like they want peace, in reality they want nothing more than to see Azerbaijan wipe Armenia from the map and they will help with money, weapons, and intelligence. The EU sources large amounts of oil from Azerbaijan and it is currently more expensive to get the oil to market because it has to pass through Armenia. Removing that obstacle is good for the EU from an energy perspective. So again while they make speak of peace they are absolutely hoping Azerbaijan comes out on top and seizes at a minimum all of the southern Armenian territory. The only standing questions are how brutally will the Azeris treat the defeated Armenians and whether or not Iran will intervene. The US's disregard for the area and Russia's imminent collapse mean that the regional powers can do what they want. This is very bad for the civilians of the region and I am afraid we are likely to see more and more bloodshed as the years pass.

So Armenia over literally thousands of years has lost it’s land to other aggressors, mainly because of their orthodox Christian beliefs and being treated as ‘infidels’. In 1918, The People’s Republic of Azerbaijan granted Irevan (current capital of armenia) to armenia to stop them from making claims about more Azerbaijani lands. After the People’s Republic of Azerbaijan was invaded by Russia, Russian government moved thousands of ethnic armenians to Azerbaijan’s lands to create a dispute in the region. This defense organization led by Russia promises help if a member country’s soil is invaded. But since Karabag is not part of Armenia, Russia didn’t intervene. Stop misinforming people!

Quite interesting verb selection! Correct me if I am wrong but an invasion happens when you forcefully intrude in another domain that does not belong to you in the first place. Please grab a map (perhaps, a dictionary as well!) next time before looking for a title!

I'd say you missed a major detail, Armenia initially also invaded the Karabakh Lowlands (Nagarno Karabakh literally means Karabakh Highlands) and Lowlands are majority Azeri. While I'm sure the mountains are an issue too the mass displacement from the lowlands caused massive trauma for the Azeris. The current generation of 40+ yo Azeris all remember it. So Azerbaijan always took the Karabakh issue more seriously and dedicated much more funds to retaking that land.

The lowlands were taken by Armenians as a buffer zone. Armenians never actually wanted Agdam or Fuzuli, nor did they actually care that Azerbaijan retook them, they just used it for their own security as a buffer zone.

The mountains of Eastern Anatolia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan are called the Armenian Highlands for a reason. Armenians have been living there for over 4,500 years and the genetic continuity of Armenians last over 6,000 years.

@@frankozrin5611originally, but Armenian policy changed around the early 2010’s. After a failed peace deal in the late 2000s, the Armenian side got bolder and started to resettle the area with Armenians, especially refugees from Lebanon and The Syrian civil war. Much much later, after pashinyan came to power, there was rhetoric from the foreign ministry which had been coined by international relations scholars as the “new war, new territories” posture. The doctrine went that if another was was to break out, they would take more territory from Azerbaijan. There was also a shift in the mid to late 2020s from calling it the buffer zone to “liberated” territories. Armenia brought the 2020 war on itself through its lack of diplomacy and its aggressive stance without having room for compromise at all, and after 30 years of trying peace negotiations, the Azerbaijanis decided to actually use the professional army they had built up over the past decades with their oil money.

One could argue that once Armenia criticized Russia Azerbaijan knew Putin would not help them and that Armenia is left defenceless.
Seems like very poor play from the Armenian president.
