Oh my, this was such an easy process to follow! I normally wrap my cord with fabric, and to just make a bowl without having to stop and wrap really sped up the process. And I love how the beads really make the pot so special! Thanks much for your video!
Hi Patti ... Thank you for another great tutorial. Love this idea of popping a pot plant inside. Great gift idea!! The beads make a big difference to the finished planter. Makes them look very classy. Your tutorials are very easy to listen to and you explain everything so that even "I" can follow your instructions. Thanks again. Keep 'em coming .... :)
Patti, I love your tutorials! You are a natural teacher and I appreciate the detail you provide. What is the best way to clean these bowls, both the rope and the fabric-wrapped ones? Thank you so much!
I don’t have a brand name for you but they are used by tailors and for sewing. They are called soft plastic sewing tailor cloth rulers. You will find them at all fabric, sewing stores, Walmart etc. Thanks for watching my videos!
If you want a basket with straight sides than have a watch of this video I published. You don’t have to make it as wide or tall as mine. Here’s the video. HOW TO - MAKE LARGE COTTON ROPE STORAGE BASKET ruclips.net/video/U_kr4T5xABM/видео.html
I use all purpose thread and I use a jeans or leather needle. If you are getting a big nest of thread then it sounds like your tension is off or you need to do some machine maintenance and cleaning.
A have a link in the description box below the video as to where I found the wooden beads. Just click on the little arrowhead just below and to the right of the video or it might say the words show more.
Have a look at my first video on rope bowls. I go into more detail on how to have a flat bottom. Here’s the link if you want to have a look. ruclips.net/video/Y_l0vsEBdJI/видео.html

Thanks!
Would these work to keep sewing long enough (about 9” high) to make a wastebasket for the bathroom? I have clear trash bags that I would line it with.

Você é muito bem-vindo!
Lovely! Did you use a particular needle size or type for this project? Nevermind. You answered my question after the halfway point. Thanks!
I might have missed it but what size needle are you using and what type of thread? I get a big nest of thread after I sew a few stitches. Thanks!
