You all probably dont care but does someone know a method to get back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost my login password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Everett Ira thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
thanks for your quick reply! I'm going to try the rose wine sota sauce chicken recipe this weekend. am trying your cabbage meatball soup today to feed hungry people. keep up the good work!
Spice N' Pans dear Chef, I cooked a piece of Thigh for dinner in electric pressurized cooker for 10min. The outcome was really good. Our son also asked for the recipe!
I love this chicken! Did not know how to prepare it but you made it look so simple hat I am going to try it! Thank you very much for the recipe! Your cat is so cute! Would love to see more of him/her in future videos! Your dog also! I have 2 cats from Idaho but I did have 13 cats I brought over from Singapore many years ago! It took 3 seperste trips but I got it done! Thanks again!
Thank you so much for your kind words 🙏🙏🙏🙏 Wow! 13 cats from Singapore to Idaho??? That’s a lot of cats. Your cats must be really happy that you didn’t just leave them in Singapore. Good on you.
Thanks! I also brought 5 stray dogs from Singapore! No way was I going to leave them behind! The afternoon paper which I can't remember wrote about it - I think it was around April of 1993! They are sadly all gone now and I have 2 cats and 3 dogs, all rescues from here! I got them from Idaho and now I am living near San Francisco Nd brought them along whether they liked it or not! I love your videos! As a Singaporean ( Eurasian) now living here ( have to with an ang mo father) but I love my Singapore food the best and eT rice every day! I am powered by rice! Cannot be without it! Keep doing your videos as many people love seeing them! My cousin in Vancouver loves watching too and we talk about them!
I tried this recipe but added an additional step at the end of roasting in the oven to crisp up the skin. I also cooked down the remaining liquid to use as a dipping sauce. It was delicious.
Thank you sir I cook this 2 times for my Chinese employer and they love it. Thank you so much for your easy and simple recipe very taste and delicious😋. God bless you sir.
Hi, I am a big fan of your cooking channel. I tried many of your recipes and always come out fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge 🙏🇨🇦❤️. I have a question, do you use regular pot for this recipe or pressure cooker? 😊
Hi Monica. Thank you so much for your kind words. We really appreciate it. Although the pot we used in this video is a pressure pot, we didn’t activate the pressure cooking function. Please use a normal pot to cook this dish. Happy cooking!
🙋🏻♀️hello Chef 🙏👍wow thanks fr the recipe chef.. I like the chicken skin dark like that, same like at the chicken rice stall..look so delicious,i will make it this weekend 👍 4:52 omg i thought it was a statue hehehjajaj🤗🤗the cat 🐈 so cute😍
Hi Jamie and Roland, Love this recipe! Thank you for sharing. Ps: Roland sounds a bit under the weather. It's good to see how passionate he is till he can still film this. Once again, thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you sooo much for your kind words, Elvira. This was one of our very first few videos. Both of us were so bad in making a RUclips video. Haha. Now we avoid watching this video cos it makes us cringe *LOL**
It's seem simple ..Im going to try this ... Question what if I leave this Chinese wine out .would it be ok .... If not what would be the substitution to the wine ???thank you in advance
Wonderful wonderful it looks so tasty,,,,, i didn't quite catch your accent much what i wanna know is in 15 mins this 1kg chicken is done then let it rest off the heat about 4-5 mins am i correct?
Wow, i'll try that chicken recipe, it's not that hard I guess. I think slicing and plating the chicken is more complicated. Btw, the sound of the bird reminded me of Singapore. This probably be in Sg. I miss the place.
Thank you so much, i love chicken but I have a question, this is just for one kilo or I can duplicate it to make for at least 12 people? Again, this recipe is whole amazing
Yes. In fact you can use the same marinade that has already been used to make the first chicken. Just smear some dark soy sauce on the second chicken first (just like the first one) before you cook it. Hope this helps. Happy cooking!
Looks delish! What if I have a 2kg chicken? Do I double the marinade amount ? What about cooking : braise time? More than 45 mins? Always have this fear the chicken won’t be cooked.
My favorite tasty chicken. Buying it from store is expensive and sometimes so salty. No herbs flavor. After this video, I'll try doing it my own. Thanks 👏😄
Hihi. Yes it’s possible but it would be best if you can air-dry the chicken before putting it in the oven otherwise the chicken won’t be crispy. As the marinate contains sugar, the chicken might be burnt easily so please don’t turn the temperature up too high. Perhaps 180-190C is good enough. If you think the chicken is burning up, quickly adjust the temperature downwards. By the way, we have one recipe for crispy Chinese roast chicken, you might want to consider using this recipe instead: ruclips.net/video/CpuX4BuY8FI/видео.html Happy cooking!
Very nice. Thank you for the recipe. But Im not sure if rice wine can be used for muslim food. Is there any other alternative to it? Can i just use normal vinegar?
Hello, looking at the comments here, you mentioned I could use drumstick instead of a whole chicken. Just wondering, what do I do with the spring onion, garlic & ginger that you put into the chicken cavity? Can I just put it into the mixed sauce instead? How long do I braise the chicken then? Thank you for sharing. Regards Ivy.
+MegaKaraokefan Hihi. You can add the spring onion, garlic and ginger in the gravy. Once your gravy is boiling, add the drumsticks and spring onion, garlic and ginger - boil for 10 mins and turn off the fire. Leave the chicken in the gravy for another 30 mins before digging in. Enjoy!
Thank you so much for your speedy response! I shall definitely try this with chicken whole leg or drumsticks, as I am cooking only for my hubby & myself. TQ again.
Looks fantastic and is my very favourite when I want to eat Chinese food . What do you do with the liquid you cook the chicken in ?Very good presentation
Thank you so much, Mark 🙏🙏 we usually freeze the braising sauce so next time you can just thaw it and then add chicken or chicken wings / hard boiled eggs in the pot
Ho Lynn. Good morning from Singapore ! No worries about the pressure cooker. We didn’t activate the pressure cooker function at all. Merely used the pot as a normal pot. Hope this explains. Let us know if you encounter any problems. Happy cooking!

LOL, I'm not drooling, I just have a problem with my salivary glands. Dang that looks super yummy! I wonder, can I substitute regular sugar for rock sugar?
Love this Chinese Recipe for Chicken, thumbs up! No wonder this is your #1 video, you have a crazy amount of views on this one, how did it happen, overnight or overtime? Keep up the great work and have yourself a wonderful Friday morning!!
Thank you so much for your kind words :) It didn't happen overnight. We wish. This recipe has been up for about a year already. I guess time and the fact that many people love soy sauce chicken help to boost up the views for this video.
Hi Gooner P. Yes you can use the braising sauce as gravy over rice or noodles or even porridge. If you like it to be thicker, you can thicken it with cornflour or tapioca flour. As for how long can you keep them, let the braising liquid cool down to room temp then keep them in container/s. You can freeze it. This way, you can keep it for as long as you want. Hope this helps.

great video. That's a really good presentation you're making. I'm gonna use it for my next preparation.
Hi, is there a rose wine soya sauce chicken from you too? If so can I have it too? Thankyou❤️
Hi, Just wondering, can you keep that stock you poached the chicken in and reuse it again?
Great recipe!
Thank you so much. Yes. Please keep the gravy. You can reuse it to braise other types of meats or eggs or tofu.
Yes, I strain and freeze it in glass jar. And re-use only a couple more times.
I'm so addicted to the Chinese chicken spy sauces so yummy and delicious 🤗
For how long can you keep the braising sauce? And is the braising sauce the same sauce topped over rice in hawker stalls? Thanks and good day chef!
@@spicenpans thanks for the speedy reply!
thanks for this recipe. I will try to cook it for my family this weekend
wow, easy to cook
the little kitten is so cute n i think the dog wanted some chicken too
How do u wash the chicken? Do u lightly rinse it or salt rub then wash off before cooking. Or just pat dry from ntuc
Is it possible to do this in a slow cooker?
Nice! finally see how (a favorite) soy chicken is made. I've experimented on my own. Going to incorporate what I learned here.
Thank you so much, alfblack2. Happy cooking!
