I have the analog version. I swapped the tri-blades for Gemfan D51-5s, despite Happymodel's advice to me. They run quieter, and give more bite - and the motors are barely warm on landing. I also have the O3 frame that I've mounted a Caddx Baby Ratel V2 into with no jello. I'm planning on mounting a Caddx Turtle V2 camera/DVR; it fits perfectly. I've rotated the camera 90 degrees CW because I prefer the feel of an underslung transverse battery. It's an excellent little flyer; very precise.
I wish you swang by the reciever tab. Im really struggling to bind. I have a solid red light by the usb port, but I see yours is flashing. And in betaflight, I only have the crsf option, and cant shange to spi/expresslrs. Should I be able?
Thanks for the review. I thought it was silly how you just said, "why try making it freestyle well, just buy a 5 inch". 5 inch is too large and much too dangerous for a lot of places I'm planning to fly the mob8. I need a small, quieter drone with prop guards, and I'd like it to fly well.
My point is, don't expect a 2-3 ducted whoop to fly acro as well as a 5 inch - it'll never happen. But if you want to fly safely around people, then a 2-3 inch is a perfect choice.
Thanks for your feedback, it's always appreciated. There's bound to be some improvement in flight time if the O3 is a bit lighter and more flight time is always a good thing. But the O3 will be more vulnerable to damage, dust and other crud and personally, I'd rather just spend a bit more money on a few more batteries than end up with a damaged, expensive O3 Air Unit. But as always, the choice is down to individual preferences. Thanks for watching.
Great vid! My mob8 03 air isnt being good. When i arm and take it up a little then move the right stick...it just flips over (like its in acro mode). I want to tame it right down, just to fly round the house... but not sure how to tweak settings, as theres nowhere mentioning acro mode disable anywhere in betaflight of in the cli. How can i dial it right down from a crazy whoop to a nice tame slow one please?
It's one of these. - Props on the wrong way around - Motor direction is wrong - Motor order is wrong - Gyro orientation is wrong Let me know how you get on.
I simply used longer bolts and put some spare flight controller soft mount washers between the top and bottom frame. Very straightforward. Thanks for watching.
hi buddy. about to buy either this or the cinelog20 to get me back into fpv after all these years. which would you chose to do the same work as you do? slow fly throughs etc... i really want a quiet as possible one - both these seems the same size, but the cinelog is heavier and more robust looking if i'm right?
I haven't flown the cinelog20 so it's hard for me to compare. But I think Mobula8 is very good and have used it on several commercial fly throughs now and I love it.
@@WhirlyBloke thanks for the advice. i have a little business with standard dji drones like the mavic 3 and mini but quite mad at myself for leaving fpv a few years ago as that's where i started it all. and now i notice that business in the last few years really want fpv fly throughs more than standard drone shots. i bet you've noticed this theme too. ordered all i need now and will love the dji integra goggles ive ordered as i used awful analog back in the day that broke up just going behind a tree. tech has moved on so much in just 3 years, so i guess this is the right time to get back into it with dji digital plus these tiny cines we have now.
@@WhirlyBloke exactly...that says it all! should have never stopped fpv as i was making good progress on overall smoothness. but glad to go going back to it though.
I've got mobula 8 O3. And can not figure out how to activate O3. There is frame on the way to usb. I've unsrewed frame from the drone, but can't take out o3 from the frame. It would be great if You could give me any hint.
bougt this drone together with the dji integra goggles, combined with my radiomaster boxer everything works but when i'm like 10 sec in to my flight my video signal just goes away not bad connection it just stops and im not seeeing anything from my feed. Do you have an idea what the problem could be?
This could be down to several things, but here’s some things to check. - Make sure the antennas on the air unit are properly clicked in and connected. Use the DJI supplied antennas. - Make sure the wiring to the air unit is good and there are no loose connections. Check the plugs are properly pushed in. - Check the power connection from the flight controller to the air unit is the correct voltage. Try measuring it with a voltmeter - it should be a steady 9V unless the battery is really low on charge. And make sure the main battery is in a good state and fully charged. - If all these seem ok, run the quad on the bench with the props removed and see if the video disappears after 10 seconds. If it does, then check the power from the flight controller is still 9V. If it’s not, then you have a bad BEC on the flight controller or you battery isn’t good. If the power is still 9V and you have no video, recheck the cable or replace it. - Check the googles have a good power connection and battery state. - If all this is fine, then you may have a bad Air Unit or the goggles are faulty.
You can mount them sideways using a battery strap on the bottom plate battery holder. I tried it, but you don't get much longer flight times cos of the extra weight. Thanks for watching.

I there. Tks for the video and time. Work with fatshar googles and taranis?
I have analog mobula8. Can i set the movement speed a bit?
hello, thank you for your video
a question => what is the flight duration of the drone with a 2S 900Mah battery
Realistically, 3-4 minutes, but it depends how you fly.
Good review. Would be interesting to see if modifying the O3 into a lite version would give a bit more flight time or better flight dynamics.

I installed the caddx vista with the nebula pro, Almost 5min flight time with gnb 550.. More power, less propwash and durable.

00:28 where you find a mobula 8 hd for $100? Theyre $350+
My review was for the Lite for O3 Air Unit version which is under $100. You'll need to provide your own Air Unit or equivalent. bit.ly/45HVECP

I suggest activating and binding the O3 air unit before fitting it. There's loads of YT videos out there showing you how to do it.

Just ordered mine today 🤗
I like this quad on 2s no doubt, but on 1s it’s fire! It can cruse around my house😂

The props and motors have screw holes, but mine didn't have any in the box. I haven't had any issues with the props coming loose though.
