In Quests defence mate they were using that style and design long before the Equinox, and the overall design of the Quest is still vastly superior. No-one needs to shop for another shaft with a quest and they never have done. Great review Kris, it's such a shame Quest don't have more marketing power because lesser machines often grab all the attention and more people need to try this company. ATB MMMD

I'd like to see Quest hit the US market harder. Maybe get some US RUclipsr's involved. From what I can see after hours of research, Quest has the best all around package (minus simultaneous MF) in the industry, it is everything I would build into a machine if I built one. I use an Equinox but I'd like to give the Q30 or Pro a shot soon.

I have the 400i & am thinking of selling it & getting something like this - the 400i is great on land but the beaches where I live drive it crazy/next to useless - rough shore is ok.
Joan allen as you said, it was the best price with the free pin pointer too, I was surprised the offer was still on but when I saw it I snapped it up, I was tired of digging up rubbish using my Cs4pi , and couldn't afford the equinox

Well that's totally confused me now, just sold an old Ace 250 and was all set to purchase a Simplex, now I have seen your review of the Q30. Decisions, decisions. 🤔
I agree it looks like an equinox, but i think you mssed something with that statement. I think its not so much made to look like an Equinox, like many other brands and models, but if you think about it, the control pod of this, the Nox and many others, looks more like a smart phone. With the technology today in smart phones and battery tech, why do you need a big bulky control box when you can have a light vertical one, which is not only light but the vertical design keeps a better balance then a wide one. Buy the way, be on the look out in the near future for the Air Detector, which is a 100 percent wireless detector that you use your smart phone and an app as the control pod. They are rolling out into the market right now.
Sorry but I have to say that the commodore 64 wins that contest easily due to one thing and one thing only... the panic on my mums face when I watched the loading screen colours dance and flicker on the screen. She used to take my temperature while i watched fearing I'd have a fit! True story ha ha
