There was a problem in terms of the size of the game data. We had to save space by taking pokemon originally designed to evolve twice,
And making them evolve only once .
Pikachu was not one of the first three pokemon,so it was an easy target for this kind of reduction.

Hey pat just wondering what was the song when you were at the baseball field
can i just say as the seller of the sleeping charmander, the leafes are sold detatched from the model so they dont snap off, super glue will suffice, also the tail takes about 5 seconds to activate due to the fact we coded the flame effect and use a circuit board that has to load the code.
also the cords long because its convenient to be able to put the model anywhere.
Imagine an evolved Marowak with a Gyarados skull! SO COOL!
Little secret, Gorochu is kind of technically a pokemon, was just never released.
That art is the real art from what it was going to be. Check it out, its pretty rad.
Raichu was originally supposed to evolve, but instead they released pichu instead!

The charmander item was the best if it wasn't broken. This is why you never use packing peanuts they don't protect fragile items like that.
6:50 a Grochu was invented, but it was then removed from pokemon
