thank you for this video! i spent the last week researching grinders. your video was very helpful!
Thank you for watching!
Thanks - I have that exact same grinder. It does a good job for me. I use it exclusively for my espresso coffee.
Thx for watching. Great grinder to have. At some point I plan to compare it with one of my electric grinders. Should be interesting.
Thanks so much! This video helped me a lot! greetings from Costa Rica 🇨🇷
@@stevenqc17 glad to help. Thx for watching!
Take a look at the 3 inner bearings when cleaning your grinder, there is a good chance that there is a lot of rust on them after a few months of use.. Speaking from experience
Thx for the info. Do you use RDT alot ? One would expect this grinder to last a bit longer than few months.
@@mycoffeeshow111 About RDT is something I usually do, not always, but 1 spray is part of my workflow when I grind for espresso. It seems as if the chrome coating comes off on some areas in the first place for no reason, and that's where the rust starts to grow on the steel underneath. That shouldn't happen indeed, even the manual itself says you can use RDT as long as you do it in an external container before adding the beans to the grinder. It is probably a good grinder with cheap bearings, and it's sad because I was very happy with how it was working..
@@Mastrenich well, they had to cut their costs somewhere but that is still disappointing.
Hi! I bit and bought the K6, and wanted to ask when your burrs stop touching from zero? My burrs stop touching when I spin it at around 7 clicks and I'm not sure if that Is normal
Hi, it sounds very normal. You never grind at such a low settings anyway.
if you are using this grinder daily to grind lets say one single and one double espresso amount of coffee, how often do you think it should be disassembled and brushed?
I wouldn’t worry about it that much. If I used it daily I would probably done deep cleaning every couple of months but I would use the brush after each use to remove any visible coffee dust.
@@mycoffeeshow111 thank you
Have you try it with drill machine?
I only own an electric screwdriver. Maybe I should try it?
I have, works great! Though I would recommend to hold the grinder sideways and let the beans in slowly. My K6 stalls when I use a drill machine and hold it upright
@@coentenham6638 yes stalled with me. I try espresso set
@@coentenham6638 thx for the info!
Interesting that I have never seen anyone remove the second part of the blade set from any Kingrinder grinder.
I have never even thought about it myself.
@@mycoffeeshow111In the case of an exchange due to a defect or other reason, no one knows how to do it.
@@mycoffeeshow111But I have an idea of how it can be done: Under the rubber where we hold the mill, there should be two screws, one on each side. I suppose that by unscrewing both, the fixed part of the blades comes loose.
The manual says you shouldn't remove the static part of the burrs for precision reasons and you should never be in a position where you have to remove them.
I assume it's going to be hard to reinstall them perfectly centered and your grind is going to be inconsistent.
@@NeverMind353 thx for the info.
