I just started using smoothies for my breakfast. My doctor was happy and surprised when I took the blood test, AIC and even mammogram. She called me and told me, everything in the exams are normal. My AIC, my cholesterol and other things are normal. WOW, i how happy I am for the first time I am 80 years old.

I had the same results I lost 30 pounds and my doctor said my blood test was perfect. I had heart damage from my medicine I take and it healed itself. I believe in the green smoothie. My skin changed too it’s normally dry even in the summer, but it was really moist and I didn’t need Shea butter or virgin coconut out. Keep up with the smoothies they really work.

its been 60 days since i have made a healthy decision to drink a liter of smoothies everday. I am a seaman and currently onboard for 7mo , when i requested various greens for my private order of 20kg all of my mate laughed at me while they order all other things. Tip: I buy one or two bags of baby spinach at a time, then blend it into liquid (with about 1/2 c of water), then pour it into a couple of ice cube trays. When the recipe calls for spinach, I use about 4 cubes.

Where I live (Denmark) every supermarket has frozen spinach and kale. It's easier to always have this in your freezer, and also cheaper :) I also always freeze very ripe bananas to use in smoothies. Frozen bananas give amazing creamy texture :) TIP: Frozen bananas blended on their own makes a really delicious 'ice cream'. Eat as is, or add cacao powder for a healthy chocolate ice cream :)
I’ve been making smoothies for over 3 years. I haven’t got a cold, Covid, or the flu because of this. I usually use kale and spinach, bananas, berries and blueberries. I have never had any of those side effects. Lately I have been growing my own sprouts and add them to my smoothies.
Thank you for sharing your recipes! I needed some fresh ideas. 4 of my family members had cancer at the same time. We lost 2 but then I started researching, bought about 50 toxicology and medical books. It was crazy to learn about how toxic the poisons are in our so called food. Plus the non Organic is irradiated with ionizing radiation. Seriously, how can this be legal? What is more crazy is that when I shared this...literally, no one cared. After eating raw plant based, I take zero medications, I now have 20/20 vision, my temperature is back up to normal with no Hashimoto's (thyroiditis) and I have no kidney disease. I was drinking green smoothies for about six months & lost 32llbs . I was weighing 160 lbs before and when as low as 128 lbs.I never felt so good in all my life. Recently, I started experiencing tingling & numbness in the tips of my fingers of both hands & throbbing pain in both calves. I stopped using the green smoothies but the pain & numbness continued. I started exercising doing some brisk walking and started eating sardines, eggs& salmon I am now feeling much better. I now understand from your video since I was using Kale all the time.
Thanks for this 30 day challenge. I started it with my husband in January 2020. We are STILL drinking smoothies daily now in the month of April. Also, my husband had a colonoscopy and he had great results and the doctor said "we will see you in 10 years for another check up"..A simple change for my husband who has diabetes, asthma and HBP, he now looks forward to his smoothie and I have also included my 2 year old son that he now pretends he is making smoothies for me and his daddy haha. Well over a decade ago, when i first found the benefits of green smoothies, there was a book from a woman named Victoria Boutenko, which was basically THE book on green smoothies. She shared how she raised her kids using that way of eating. I must say, it is really cool to come back years later and see that woman's kids all grown up, AND still sharing the story!

Wow! I can’t believe that is your mom! About 10 or 15 years ago I was so unhealthy, skinny but sickly. I started incorporating raw foods and smoothies in my diet and I became the healthiest I had ever been. I also at that time read your moms book, greens for life! It was so amazing and encouraging to me. It’s such a great book. Every family should read it! And you were mentioned in there, and it’s so cool to see you in this vid., and still healthy! Wow I just happened to come across this video. I have learned so much from Victoria Boutanko over the years. I even went to her Green Smoothie lecture before the book was released in 2005. I'm so happy the children continue to push the knowledge forward! Great video.
I’m going to do this with my 8yr old! I used to make green smoothies, but always with small amount of fruit. It was a chore to drink so I eventually quit. I believe in the health benefits though so I’m gonna do it. Thank you!

I finished the 30 day green smoothie challenge yesterday. I really enjoyed the challenge, and it was a great way to increase you greens intake. After about 6 months I did stop, as I switched to a low-carb, almost carno diet. To get rid of sugars
@@ReggieDable I did lose weight, but I dont know how much, I had been dieting, but weight loss seemed to kick into gear with the smoothies. I dont know about the glucose levels either, but I would guess that this type of addition to your diet would help, as your removing any chance of bad sugars in your morning meal. gl
@@tausenti there's no such thing as 'bad' sugars because it implies that there are 'good' sugars, which is not the case. Feel free to experiment with your smoothies but I suspect they are loaded with fructose. So, if I were you I'd be keeping a close watch on those blood sugar levels and liver function (i.e due to a high risk of development of fatty liver).
Me too! I'm on day 3 of The Challenge, trying to get some nutrients into my body! I'm also 'striding out', for some aerobic activity. Hopefully will lose the weight I've gained.

I was doing this before I seen your video. When you said write down your issues. I had hobbled on my feet for years they were sore especialy at the end on the day. I then relized I no longer have foot pain after many years. Now I hike the mountains with friends family pain free. Thanks for the video.

I loved all the tips! I have made protein smoothies with whey protein for years but after watching Forks over Knives I have been switching to a more vegan diet so stumbling across your 30-day challenge with great recipes have come at just the right time for me. Buying green powdered smoothie mixes have had no appeal to me at all. I have always shopped twice a week to keep veggies and fruits fresh, so your 5 day grocery list with recipes and demonstrations of how the portions look (bunch, 1/2 a bunch etc.) and easiest way to remove fruits from skins etc. just simplifies and speeds up the prep time and takes all of the guess work out of it! What a gift! THANK YOU SO MUCH for coming up with this helpful and healthful idea! You are very much appreciated Sergei!!!
this is awesome! We have the 3600 vita mix and she works perfectly...still. So we began our 30 day challenge today Sat OCT 27, 2016 about 4;30 PST...day 1 smoothie is awesome! We bought about 95% of our 30 day li of produce today and actually got enuff for the two of us for 60 days!! Lots of food to cut up. and freeze...and amazed what we CAN freeze and still stays fresh. Even learned I can freeze satsuma oranges !! and lemons, limes...hahaha...who knew. And no, those werent part of the list but had lots on hand. Lots of greens can be frozen without blanching too. Ps: I am from Kenya in Africa. The Vitamix is unavailable here but a have a Nutribullet 600 and it works excellently. I started doing fruit smoothies some time back and in time substituted one meal with the smoothie. Now I have started with green smoothies i will reduce the fruits and add the vegetables in. Oh, and my thanks for such selfless devotion to human health :)

I've been adding chard, spinach and kale from my garden, with a banana and cantaloupe every morning to my breakfast. I have more energy at 58, and more ability to focus. Is the 30 day challenge safe for someone with type 2 diabetes even though there is so much fruit in that 32 oz serving. Won't that raise your blood sugar alot?
@@dorismay4593 I have been using this for just over a month and a half. It seems as if my type 2 diabetes is going on the reverse. I have had to stop taking my diabetic medication. But you have to stick to the smoothie permanently to recover from the diabetes.
I have done the green smoothie challenge religiously for 7 weeks. I am pretty disappointed I didn't have the results that others did. I have trouble sleeping and that persists. I don't have a lot of aches and pains but I am 60 and I have some and honestly that hasn't changed at all. The only benefit is that I KNOW this is good for me to eat a bunch of greens every day. I have to believe it is doing something if I don't have the results. Honestly if I could sleep I would do ANYTHING! I have a busy stressful job and I need sleep. Lack of sleep prevents me from exercising sometimes, and I am just exhausted. Now I am trying a water challenge and honestly so far that isn't working as promised either
I have done all of it. I was caffeine free for a few years and cut out dairy, gluten, and sugar. I have a pretty healthy diet and I don't eat much in the way of animal products. Something has to work I just have to find it
I don't suffer from fatigue if I sleep, just getting to sleep properly is the problem. Sometimes I do sleep well and it is great but mostly I get 5-6 hours at night
Janine Barclay Might be the issue isn't physical? Alternative therapies like meditation, tai chi, yoga even consider counseling - good health isn't limited to diet~
This is what I'm missing from my vegetarian diet I started about 3 weeks ago. This will increase compliance for sure. Plus, fruits are great...Great video...I'll be looking up the rest of your videos too...

When I started doing the smoothie challenge I was afraid that my blood sugar was going to go way up, Because I am prediabetic, but the smoothies gave me a lot of energy so I thought... something that makes me feel so good can’t be bad. So I must say, I am so happy, today is my day 15 and my blood sugar went down to 100. Yeah!!

I have found out that it's too much water added. I am used to thicker smoothies with 8 oz water. Also have gone back to the almond/coconut milks and is creamer.
I read your moms book Greens for Life & Green Smoothie revolution way back in 2009 I think…and it changed my health and life! By the end of 2011 I was happy, healthy, fit and enjoying life at my natural weight. I don’t eat raw, I love cooked vegetables and I’m a vegetarian, but even by simply adding smoothies my meat eating family also made healthy changes
I've been using a Blendtec for more than 10 years and have made a lot of green smoothies. It does a great job and I've never had any issues with it blending what ever I put in it.

I have sjorgrens syndrome and when I am severe pain the only thing that has helped me is a day sleeping and drinking a carrot and apple smoothie is all I eat that day ...next day no more pain! Thank you so much Sergei. I started making a green smoothie everyday and into just day 3, I noticed I was not having hot flashes like I was. In the last 2 weeks I've had maybe 3 hot flashes and they were minimal. Over the last year, I had been having hot flashes every 2 or 3 hours and they were progressively getting worse. I also have more energy. I'm drinking a green smoothie (Half fruit and half greens with a little Diakon radish) for lunch and then for dinner steamed broccoli with one sardine and one slice of organic sprouted whole grain bread. I find I need the fish oil and just that little bit of animal protein and the bread makes my stomach feel full. I may cut out the bread, but for now it seems to be fine. As for the broccoli, it is a Cruciferous vegetable. I'm about to rotate these vegetables. In my research, all centenarians ate Cruciferous vegetables. They help cell regeneration and help produce enzymes in the liver to eliminate environmental toxins. I bought your book basically because I got so much out of your free online content that I wanted to support you at least that much. I started out with an inexpensive personal blender, to try out the concept. It’s excellent, but small and a little messy, since you can’t pour out the top but must flip it. My vita mix will be here in an hour, so I’m excited! Loving the wild greens daily, too! I really thought I would hate dandelion, but it’s quickly become a regular in our diet. Give been on a journey to health. I was about 80 lbs overweight or more. Im 55 years of age. I've lost about 30 lbs. Im going to try this. Im hoping I wont gain and very much hoping I feel better in the mornings. When I get up my body hurts and also i NEVER have energy. I did it before and lost a lit of weight. Knowing I was getting a lot of nutrition was important. Not sure why I've put some weight back on, and why I haven't gone back to what worked before. In my green smoothie I put two hand ful kale and two handful spinch. 1/2 zucchini. one red apple 3 pk stevia. One tablespoon matcha green tea. Turmeric black pepper ane whole lemon juiced yourself. Hi Sergey, just had to reach out and thank you for kick starting my path to get healthy again. Watched your videos about foraging for wild greens... I’ve tried a new one every day last week. So far, so good. Tonight I had my first smoothie, though, I kind of had to make up one of my own with the ingredients I had. Went shopping and found a beautiful bunch of organic beets. So I used all the beet greens, a frozen banana, a gala apple and about 6-7 fresh strawberries with tops. It was very tasty, though the banana could have been a little more ripe, and the greens had a small cabbagey smell, but it was pink when all blended and tasted like a strawberry banana milk shake! I’m hooked! But I’ll be following your recipes for the next 30 days. Thanks for being you!

i thought i’d share publicly.. i’ve recently made some crazy “smoothie”: tomatoes and horseradish (yes!) in a roughly 2:1 ratio, a little garlic, salt+pepper. YUuuuM!!!
@@nikkitobin8356 Sounds like a dish from a raw vegan diet, thinking of trying that later in the year for 30days, raw vegan diet that is. Now I'm starting off slow with the smoothies, among other things, can't stomach the taste of raw tomatoes, maybe i may like it better mixed with other things, i can just about eat cherry tomatoes and i don't enjoy the taste, just eat it once in a while as i know it is good for me lol.

This is great, thank you! I'm currently doing this challenge for the month. So far so good and tasty. Filling too. I've tried it using the Nutribullet on one day and the Vitamix blender on another. I prefer the Vitamix as larger and seems to have a more creamier/smooth taste. Still tastes good using the Nutribullet.
I make my own green smoothie and was drinking it everyday. It gave me so much energy. and I have lost 75 lbs. My problem is kidney stones. I'm still getting them I even put lemon juice and ACV in my smoothie. What do think of kefir?
He states in the video to be sure to regularly rotate through a wide variety of greens to help avoid kidney stones. So not just 3 or 4 different kinds but rotate through 20 or so regularly.

I had the same results I lost 30 pounds and my doctor said my blood test was perfect. I had heart damage from my medicine I take and it healed itself. I believe in the green smoothie. My skin changed too it’s normally dry even in the summer, but it was really moist and I didn’t need Shea butter or virgin coconut out. Keep up with the smoothies they really work.

its been 60 days since i have made a healthy decision to drink a liter of smoothies everday. So what happened?
Tip: I buy one or two bags of baby spinach at a time, then blend it into liquid (with about 1/2 c of water), then pour it into a couple of ice cube trays. When the recipe calls for spinach, I use about 4 cubes.

Just buy frozen spinach
Where I live (Denmark) every supermarket has frozen spinach and kale. It's easier to always have this in your freezer, and also cheaper :) I also always freeze very ripe bananas to use in smoothies. Frozen bananas give amazing creamy texture :)
TIP: Frozen bananas blended on their own makes a really delicious 'ice cream'. Eat as is, or add cacao powder for a healthy chocolate ice cream :)
I’ve been making smoothies for over 3 years. I haven’t got a cold, Covid, or the flu because of this. I usually use kale and spinach, bananas, berries and blueberries. I have never had any of those side effects. Lately I have been growing my own sprouts and add them to my smoothies.
Thank you for sharing your recipes! I needed some fresh ideas. 4 of my family members had cancer at the same time. We lost 2 but then I started researching, bought about 50 toxicology and medical books. It was crazy to learn about how toxic the poisons are in our so called food. Plus the non Organic is irradiated with ionizing radiation. Seriously, how can this be legal? What is more crazy is that when I shared this...literally, no one cared. I was drinking green smoothies for about six months & lost 32llbs . I was weighing 160 lbs before and when as low as 128 lbs.I never felt so good in all my life. Recently, I started experiencing tingling & numbness in the tips of my fingers of both hands & throbbing pain in both calves. I stopped using the green smoothies but the pain & numbness continued. I started exercising doing some brisk walking and started eating sardines, eggs& salmon I am now feeling much better. I now understand from your video since I was using Kale all the time.

Thanks for this 30 day challenge. I started it with my husband in January 2020. We are STILL drinking smoothies daily now in the month of April. Also, my husband had a colonoscopy and he had great results and the doctor said "we will see you in 10 years for another check up"..A simple change for my husband who has diabetes, asthma and HBP, he now looks forward to his smoothie and I have also included my 2 year old son that he now pretends he is making smoothies for me and his daddy haha. I finished the 30 day green smoothie challenge yesterday. I really enjoyed the challenge, and it was a great way to increase you greens intake. After about 6 months I did stop, as I switched to a low-carb, almost carno diet. To get rid of sugars

@@ReggieDable I did lose weight, but I dont know how much, I had been dieting, but weight loss seemed to kick into gear with the smoothies. I dont know about the glucose levels either, but I would guess that this type of addition to your diet would help, as your removing any chance of bad sugars in your morning meal. gl
@@tausenti there's no such thing as 'bad' sugars because it implies that there are 'good' sugars, which is not the case. Feel free to experiment with your smoothies but I suspect they are loaded with fructose. So, if I were you I'd be keeping a close watch on those blood sugar levels and liver function (i.e due to a high risk of development of fatty liver).

Then when you actually showed yourself making each of the smoothies for the full 30 days…THAT was way more helpful than I thought it could be! I didn’t realize how many of these fruits and greens I am unfamiliar with, and it would have been HELL to try to figure out how I should best prepare/chop them before adding them to the smoothie!

I was doing this before I seen your video. When you said write down your issues. I had hobbled on my feet for years they were sore especialy at the end on the day. I loved all the tips! I have made protein smoothies with whey protein for years but after watching Forks over Knives I have been switching to a more vegan diet so stumbling across your 30-day challenge with great recipes have come at just the right time for me. Buying green powdered smoothie mixes have had no appeal to me at all. I have always shopped twice a week to keep veggies and fruits fresh, so your 5 day grocery list with recipes and demonstrations of how the portions look (bunch, 1/2 a bunch etc.) and easiest way to remove fruits from skins etc. just simplifies and speeds up the prep time and takes all of the guess work out of it! What a gift! THANK YOU SO MUCH for coming up with this helpful and healthful idea! You are very much appreciated Sergei!!!

this is awesome! We have the 3600 vita mix and she works perfectly...still. So we began our 30 day challenge today Sat OCT 27, 2016 about 4;30 PST...day 1 smoothie is awesome! We bought about 95% of our 30 day li of produce today and actually got enuff for the two of us for 60 days!! Lots of food to cut up. and freeze...and amazed what we CAN freeze and still stays fresh. Even learned I can freeze satsuma oranges !! and lemons, limes...hahaha...who knew. And no, those werent part of the list but had lots on hand. Lots of greens can be frozen without blanching too. Thankyou!!!

I started doing fruit smoothies some time back and in time substituted one meal with the smoothie. Now I have started with green smoothies i will reduce the fruits and add the vegetables in. I've been adding chard, spinach and kale from my garden, with a banana and cantaloupe every morning to my breakfast. I have more energy at 58, and more ability to focus. Is the 30 day challenge safe for someone with type 2 diabetes even though there is so much fruit in that 32 oz serving. Won't that raise your blood sugar alot?
@@dorismay4593 I have been using this for just over a month and a half. It seems as if my type 2 diabetes is going on the reverse. I have had to stop taking my diabetic medication. But you have to stick to the smoothie permanently to recover from the diabetes.
I have done the green smoothie challenge religiously for 7 weeks. I am pretty disappointed I didn't have the results that others did. I have trouble sleeping and that persists. I don't have a lot of aches and pains but I am 60 and I have some and honestly that hasn't changed at all. The only benefit is that I KNOW this is good for me to eat a bunch of greens every day. I have to believe it is doing something if I don't have the results. Honestly if I could sleep I would do ANYTHING! I have a busy stressful job and I need sleep. Lack of sleep prevents me from exercising sometimes, and I am just exhausted. Now I am trying a water challenge and honestly so far that isn't working as promised either

I have done all of it. I was caffeine free for a few years and cut out dairy, gluten, and sugar. I have a pretty healthy diet and I don't eat much in the way of animal products. Something has to work I just have to find it
I don't suffer from fatigue if I sleep, just getting to sleep properly is the problem. Sometimes I do sleep well and it is great but mostly I get 5-6 hours at night
Janine Barclay Might be the issue isn't physical? Alternative therapies like meditation, tai chi, yoga even consider counseling - good health isn't limited to diet~

I have found out that it's too much water added. I am used to thicker smoothies with 8 oz water. Also have gone back to the almond/coconut milks and is creamer.
I read your moms book Greens for Life & Green Smoothie revolution way back in 2009 I think…and it changed my health and life! By the end of 2011 I was happy, healthy, fit and enjoying life at my natural weight. I don’t eat raw, I love cooked vegetables and I’m a vegetarian, but even by simply adding smoothies my meat eating family also made healthy changes
I've been using a Blendtec for more than 10 years and have made a lot of green smoothies. It does a great job and I've never had any issues with it blending what ever I put in it.

I have sjorgrens syndrome and when I am severe pain the only thing that has helped me is a day sleeping and drinking a carrot and apple smoothie is all I eat that day ...next day no more pain! So I am sure this will be a life changer! I am 68 yrs old and there is no cure for what I have.

Thank you so much Sergei. I started making a green smoothie everyday and into just day 3, I noticed I was not having hot flashes like I was. In the last 2 weeks I've had maybe 3 hot flashes and they were minimal. Over the last year, I had been having hot flashes every 2 or 3 hours and they were progressively getting worse. I also have more energy. I'm drinking a green smoothie (Half fruit and half greens with a little Diakon radish) for lunch and then for dinner steamed broccoli with one sardine and one slice of organic sprouted whole grain bread. I find I need the fish oil and just that little bit of animal protein and the bread makes my stomach feel full. I may cut out the bread, but for now it seems to be fine. As for the broccoli, it is a Cruciferous vegetable. I'm about to rotate these vegetables. In my research, all centenarians ate Cruciferous vegetables. They help cell regeneration and help produce enzymes in the liver to eliminate environmental toxins. Thank you for your dedication and making these videos. :)

I bought your book basically because I got so much out of your free online content that I wanted to support you at least that much. I started out with an inexpensive personal blender, to try out the concept. It’s excellent, but small and a little messy, since you can’t pour out the top but must flip it. My vita mix will be here in an hour, so I’m excited! Loving the wild greens daily, too! I really thought I would hate dandelion, but it’s quickly become a regular in our diet. Hi Sergey, just had to reach out and thank you for kick starting my path to get healthy again. Watched your videos about foraging for wild greens... I’ve tried a new one every day last week. So far, so good. Tonight I had my first smoothie, though, I kind of had to make up one of my own with the ingredients I had. Went shopping and found a beautiful bunch of organic beets. So I used all the beet greens, a frozen banana, a gala apple and about 6-7 fresh strawberries with tops. It was very tasty, though the banana could have been a little more ripe, and the greens had a small cabbagey smell, but it was pink when all blended and tasted like a strawberry banana milk shake! I’m hooked! But I’ll be following your recipes for the next 30 days. Thanks for being you!

Now I'm starting off slow with the smoothies, among other things, can't stomach the taste of raw tomatoes, maybe i may like it better mixed with other things, i can just about eat cherry tomatoes and i don't enjoy the taste, just eat it once in a while as i know it is good for me lol.

how much weight did u lose in what amount of time? did u only eat smoothies or u just added them to ur daily food intake? thx:)

This is great, thank you! I'm currently doing this challenge for the month. So far so good and tasty. Filling too. I've tried it using the Nutribullet on one day and the Vitamix blender on another. I prefer the Vitamix as larger and seems to have a more creamier/smooth taste. Still tastes good using the Nutribullet.

I make my own green smoothie and was drinking it everyday. It gave me so much energy. and I have lost 75 lbs. My problem is kidney stones. I'm still getting them I even put lemon juice and ACV in my smoothie. What do think of kefir?

He states in the video to be sure to regularly rotate through a wide variety of greens to help avoid kidney stones. So not just 3 or 4 different kinds but rotate through 20 or so regularly.
