- I needed a hitch for our John Deere z915e zero turn mower. We didn't really want to spend almost $40 on the John Deere hitch so I picked up one from Amazon for $13.99. This video is what it takes to get the Amazon zero-turn mower hitch installed on a John Deere 900 series mower.
Spoiler alert: You need to buy two M12 x 25 bolts and that should fit directly in the pre-threaded holes on the back of your mower. This should allow you to skip buying the bumper add-on as well.
The hitch on Amazon was titled: Lonwin 3.3 Inch Mower Trailer Tow Hitch Fit for John Deere Ztrak Mower 800 & 900 Series

Hi we just got a JD zero turn. We need a hitch too. What size bolts did you end up using? Cheers
Sweepers work great
Great to hear
Glad that part fit. I have a Z515E and the rear bumper holes are about 8 inches on center. The Amazon and box store parts are 5 inches on center. How did it work out for you?
So far so good. I am not really working it too hard so I would be surprised if I have issues.
So what size bolts?
Sweepers work but two things:
Buy quality, not cheap
KEEP THE BRUSHES CLEAN and the unit empty and rinsed out. (Experience speaking)
Thanks for the tips!
sweepers are worth it.
Yeah but a lot of people use lawn rollers and the get well beyond 400 lbs.
You must be a super genius…not to😮
Thanks for watching
