GREAT video,Jeff! My Dad loved baseball ⚾️ so I did too. I didn’t care who was playing, I just loved seeing it when I could on tv! I SURE do remember Tommy Lasorora! He was a hoot! He cracked me up too! I remember when he died…his wife,Jo,too. I don’t remember their son,Spunky very much.Tommy and Jo had a wonderful and long life. They must have had LOVE ❤️ for each other and that’s wonderful. I remember thinking that Jo probably died of a broken heart 💔…even though she was so old…lol that was just my romantic side showing ❤😊❤ RIP Tommy and Jo Thanks again,Jeff! 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
Thank you JoAnn, I'm glad you enjoyed this one. I also remember when they died, it was definitely a sad day and proved that there is such a thing as crying in baseball. Thanks JoAnn we appreciate you.
Oh yeah you couldn't sneeze in the 80s or 90s without hearing something about Tommy, he was a ledgen in his own time. Thank you Vianey I'm glad you enjoyed this one.
I was never a Dodgers fan either, but I sure knew who Tommy Lasorda was. Some people just leave an impact, and he was one of those. It's so sad that he lost his son to such a horrible illness. My heart goes out to him. You did a great job on this video Jeff. May Tommy and his family rest in peace ❤ 💐
I agree, he left a lasting impression on the game and everyone that watches and enjoyed baseball while he was a part of the game. May he rest in peace. Thank you Flo. I really appreciate you being apart of our little but steadily growing community.
LOL TOMMY HAD AN IMPACT NOT JUST ON THE DODGERS BUT ON ALL TEAMS AND FANS A LIKE. IM AN ANGELS FAN BUT CAN APPRECIATE TOMMY FOR HIS LIVE OF THE GAME. RIP TOMMY.
Thanks for sharing this about Tommy!! I've bled Dodgers blue 💙 since the days when Walter Alston was the coach!! Not part of the content, but I also loved and miss Dodgers announcer Vin Scully, the G▪︎O▪︎A▪︎T!!⚾️⚾️
Mr. Lasorda had that unique aura to his personality and presence! To me Tommy was The Sinatra of Baseball! Too nice to ever be a Mafia Don, but he had that charisma that could have united The Families when times were perilous on The Streets. I truly believe he lasted as long as he did as a player simply because his personality was infectious in the dugout and he absolutely had a Baseball Mind and his coaches loved having him around. When Tommy became manager for the Dodgers, Baseball was in the tank in popularity. He of course didn't single handily turn the sport around, but he sure brought Attention to the game in a fun way and his great personality kept the Fans wanting more. He was Famous and Funny and his "Cal Worthington and his Dog Spot" type of humor with people was infectious! Being a REDS Fan he was simply "The Italian Meatball" who managed the Dodgers! 🤣 Tommy LOVED Baseball and Baseball LOVED Tommy right back! FANS LOVED Tommy even if he managed "The Blue Balls" Of Los Angeles! He was always Respected and that's saying something in this day and age! GREAT Job Jeff and 909 Family! Much Love and Thanks so much! MOO From COW-lumbus, Ohio 🖤
Stu, thank you so much and I'm glad you enjoyed this one. I'm not a big Dodgers but lived the era of baseball that I grew up in and Tommy played a big part of that even though I grew up an Angel's fan. The Sinatra of Baseball, very cool never heard that one before.
@@909Adventures The Sinatra just popped into my head when I was typing out this comment. Tommy Lasorda was "Rat Pack Worthy" even if he was in a different profession! He definitely was An Entertainer in his own right!
Thanks for watching 909ers, If you could please smash that like button and leave me a comment, I would really appreciate it.

@@909Adventures Me thinks Tom Hanks would agree with you Jeff on such a thing as Crying In Baseball! 😢
@@TheStuport I'm sure he would have to agree.
I remember hearing a lot about him growing up. I didn't know he died in his 90's. Very informative and enjoyable video!
