Always nice to see an Irish list pop up on the feed. Some good song choices, but as is always the case, I'd have probably chosen other tracks by the same artists :) And so much of that would depend on the mood. Good to see artists like Paul Brady and The Sawdoctors get a shout, and they mightn't be as well known outside of Ireland itself. Paul Brady would be very highly regarded as a songwriter alright, with The Island possibly being his biggest hit, but my favourite of his is an old one called "Nothin But The Same Old Story". Which is a great song about emigrating from Ireland in the 70's. Brilliant storytelling. And funnily enough, The Sawdoctors have a fantastic song about emigration as well, called N17, which is the name of the main road passing though the west of Ireland (which so many people emigrating would have left by). I am old enough to have seen The Sawdoctors live back in their heyday, when they got to play as support for NEIL YOUNG AND PEARL JAM in Slane Castle 1993. They went on before Van Morrison!!! and had the whole crowd bouncing, before Van Morrison killed the fun sadly. But at least Pearl Jam and Neil Young were both on fire after that. So I've always had a soft spot for the Sawdoctors, a good fun band with a couple of cracking tunes.
Nice List!. Knew most of these tunes but still a few I didn’t know which were very good like the John Wayne tune. There are still quite a few notable exclusions(A-House, Hothouse flowers, jj72, Paddy Casey etc..). You could make quite a few lists of Top Irish Artists actually 😅. It’s a shame more of these bands didn’t become more internationally recognized.
What's up family there seems to be quite a few 👍 missing? Come on family hit the thumbs up 👍 for our brothers Shawn and Tray you know they're worth it 👍👍👍👍
@@ReactionsToTheClassics if the 👍 up helps grow your great channel then our family should just smash it doesn't matter if you like the music 🤮. It's not about our personal opinion it's about supporting the heads of our reaction to the Classics family 👍👍👍👍
I had a little bit of a panic attack this morning. What if my operation is at the start of GIG season? November -march. And then reality hit me I'm on the public waiting list so this gig season should be safe but next gig season might be FARKED if I'm lucky the one after if I'm not so lucky 😁 I've got Teeth 😁
Brother I wish this thing somehow got moved up quickly. I cannot imagine the long wait. I know you are not a Christian but know that I pray for you and your family daily. And hey the positive is you've got Teeth!
@@ReactionsToTheClassics 😁 I've got nashers alright. And Shawn i can wait i consider myself very lucky to live in a country that has free healthcare sure you have to go on a waiting list for elective surgery but you don't come out the other side with massive amounts of debt. Our surgeons doctors and especially our Nurses are top notch i can't give enough praise to our Nurses they are so good and don't get nearly what they deserve pay wise but they give 110% truly amazing women and men. I've spent a lot of time in hospital over the years 👏👏👏to the nursing staff LOVE THEM ❤️✌️👍
Heard of the Script (and actually watched The Voice back when Danny was a judge) but not sure I've ever heard anything by them, so that was a good 'new' one for me along with Paul Brady and Walking on Cars. Still love that first Corrs album, but after that (for me at least) they swiftly lost all that was interesting about them and moved to a slick, bland pop sound. And you absolutely must watch Once, it's a beaut! Saw Glen and Markete perform together a few years after it came out, had also seen Glen with The Frames (supporting Dylan, no less).
It's all about The Corrs and The Cranberries for me. Such underrated bands.
Greatness for sure!

The music landscape is littered with so many great artists that never got the exposure they deserved. As always appreciate it Kevin!
Crazy World by Aslan would still be a big song in Ireland to this day. Sadly Christy Dignam passed away last year.
Also “This is” is a great tune of theirs. RIP Christy Dignam
@@KevinKaffy Great song!
Yes it is a great one!
