I am from India and I love Google pay, we have been using this app for a long time maybe 3-4 yrs or something. Its safe and best. I think this app will take us to the cashless world in future for sure.e.
@@igauravpandey Never works? Always does for me, maybe change the sim to 4G? Also the last one is a security feature. I dont mind it, in fact, the only reason I use Google pay is for its security feature. To each his own, I guess.
@@salmanbinahmed8253 I prefer using gpay. But When you are a person who makes 5-10 transactions, gpay tends to not work sometimes.

GOOGLE does more than just "spy" on us. Every time I make a payment online, Google invades my privacy and steals the card information and sets it up on Google Pay when it has NOTHING TO DO with GOOGLE!! This has happened six times in the past month, and I've reported them!
In the future you will STILL need to bring physical card with you OR leave in car for emergencys if you run out of battery lol
Crucially, people should understand the underlying NFC payment method. Most people, here in the US, will understand and recognize Apple Pay but only think iPhones work. NFC is the technology used by phones and now cards with the contactless payments logo. When most retailers were required to accept the liability for fraud and eventually upgraded their payment terminals to use chip readers, most terminals also simultaneously accepted NFC. So if you see the logo, or someone says Apple Pay accepted, Google Pay/Wallet will work.

@@PaulHo I've done that already; but it keeps happening anyway. So, I'm simply not going to use Chromebook to pay for anything any more, ever. Thanks for the help, you're better and far faster and more honest than GPay's group.
@@TheCommunicationCoach you can sign out of GPay/Wallet to stop the prompts when online shopping too.
@@PaulHo Not on my Chromebook apparently. I just won't use it.
I used to love the old Google pay..
Send and receive money instantly to and from your bank account to anyone with a Gmail. They killed that for this
@4:09 ? You skipped over an important part very quickly. Do you unlock your phone and scan OR do you unlock your phone, open google pay then pay ?
I've been using Google pay for a while and it's worked well for me. No issues at all. I love it. No more taking out my cards everywhere, but I never trust myself enough to leave them at home.

Ohh 👍 nice 🎉.....
I don't understand the point of this. What's the difference between pulling out your phone or your wallet?
@@rappar9673You don't have to bring your bulky wallet with you. And even if you bring your wallet, you can take almost all of your credit cards out and turn it into a slim wallet!
Thanks for the informative video...it answered some of the questions I had about Google Pay 👍🏾
Gpay rules India. My 60 yr old grandmother uses it extensively while grocery shopping and she didn't even know how to do search few months back
So basically, Google wants to expand what it's doing in India. But there is one problem. In India, UPI is used to send money instead of cards, which is very convenient, faster and cheaper. And also, these transactions are app agnostic. Meaning, you can use one of the many UPI supporting apps to send to other app as along as you have their UPI address (just like emails).
UPI system requres cards only to send money....if you don't have a debit card then you cannot use UPI...that is the reason your debit card details are required in order to change UPI Pin....Also you can use Google pay card tap and pay system in India like theirs. Our and their system are almost getting same.
I found this video educational. I always resisted phone payment options, although I have had PayPal since 2001. My Pixel 6 Pro supports it so I'll give it a go.

I use Apple Pay but I have an Android phone so I an setting up Google pay on it. This was very helpful.
Ugh. I'm too young to feel this old. THANK YOU! 💜
I used to use Google Pay alot but on the new Gpay app they started delaying that transaction time between moving the money out to your bank account and charging you extra to do it instantly. As it so happens all 3 of my family members that send money frequently to each other all use Zelle through our bank accounts and it happens instantly. Goodbye Gpay.
Thanks for the heads-up... I was thinking on using Google pay app....but now I will just use Zelle to send money and my old tech debit card to pay for stuffs

Understandable, precise, well explained.
I've got a question though, when it comes to scanning the for the payment do I unlock the phone and open up the app or just scan my phone over?
I love putting all my gift cards on google pay. That way I dont need to carrry them around and it helps you use them up because you'll always have them with you if a situation arises to use it

Not to mention when a card is added to Google pay it requires 2fa from your bank and you have to accept a consent form.

Sir, I have a question, do I need to download 2 apps (Google Pay and Google Wallet) to use it? and which one is most necessary for payment? thank you.
im from malaysia thank you for the tip using google pay😊
Does a physical store have to accept Google Pay in order for me to utilize it as a contactless or NFC payment method with my Android phone, or does it only need to have the contactless card option?
Can Google pay be used if I travel to Canada? Do I still need to notify my bank/cc company?
India, U.S & Singapore : 😝
Rest of the world : 😔
Will the service available in thailand ?
I noticed a 20.00 price difference, more expensive with GPay when setting up my VPN subscription, so was it the company doing the charges or GPay - is the question. Heads up about the issue. It wasn't addressed, fees, in this vid but it was convincing for me to set up GPay. I'll search elsewhere on the topic of fees. Thanks a bunch.

Google pay charges fees form your personal bank? if you have an individual account and use a debit card.

That's works same as Google pay.
But only in Bangladesh 🙂
But we don't need to have a credit or debit card that's the plus point

google pay app without UPI looks ridiculous
Google pay is mt preferred contactless payment method even over Samsung pay. But in my circle more people use apple pay and cash app . Also wish you could use gpay for contactless on iOS but I know that's apple being apple
I hear that's coming soon.
Coming soon
Man, come to India and you will realise how easy it is to send money to each other even if the person is using a different app he just needs to activate UPI number and that's it
Google pay not available in Malaysia.
Is it safe though?
1:23 Too bad that when I try to use the GPay app (with the wavy logo), I get the error message "Enterprise accounts are not supported on Google Pay. Please sign in with a personal account." I guess it's the old Google Pay app for me until this is fixed.
In Europe Everyone uses contactless payment card
Should be available in more countries 🤦🏻♂️
Google pay does not work for payments on an iPhone.
Google pay is the best
Help me out, please. So i have the cards in google pay, i unlock my phone and when i want to pay over the 30$ limit (the limit i can pay without entering a PIN on the card) my phone asks me to unlock it. Problem is that some stores reject the first pay and i cannot retry. For some it works, i tap the POS with the phone, it asks me to unlock (even though the phone is unlocked) and i can try again without loosing the transaction on the POS. I have face unlock and fingerprint on an android phone. I made sure to unlock it with my fingerprint, not my face, but i got the same result. Am i doing something wrong? Can i unlock my phone first and then pay?
Our Indian Google pay use UPI for transactions which is easy and affordable
i love google pay wish more stores had it i don't cary monye on me
Apple Pay is so much simpler add a card and tap to pay no mumble jumbo
It's terrible that this has never left America still not In the UK,
I had a one night stand and money was transfered from my account to his, google nor my bank did not reponse to my emails
I wanted to change from iPhone to android to upgrade a new phone. But I bought an iPhone 14 anyways. I begin to use Apple Pay, and is very convenient if I left my wallet. Since you mentioned privacy on Google pay I’m really concerned since Google is quite public. I sometimes favor Apple Pay over Google pay because of privacy issues.
If you go to Apple pay and read a privacy statements probably be worse than Google pay. Have a nice day. Apple is no private than Google to me is worse because they lie a lot are the same
apple privacy is worse
Cash is where its at! And if they don't accept cash they don't want your business.
GPay UK does not offer most of the options :(
It not out over here yet just the old gpay for us.. Only available in a few countries so far 😭

Not the sexiest logo cent ☹️ but I still love you 😍
Why it's not available in most countries.
Because most countries suck!
This looks ridiculous without UPI lmao.
Title should be: How to allow Google to track your spending and gather more information on you
😈
all companies do that. apple ios updates are also meant to keep the tracking to themselves as well, in the name of privacy. it be dumb to think that apple doesnt use those info to its advantage.
You know everything is tracked in 2022 and have been for years already?
@@teknerd a lot of these tracking things are for convenience as well. If I use a firefox which is a privacy browser. It won't remember convenience stuff well. Like typing patterns. Sites may not work correctly either. Besides every country's law, everything needs to be archived for a year. Even privacy companies have to follow this. Every one track us. So I'm not sure why the one above is a complaining. All my local companies allow it now. Walmart and the mega corps are blocking it and using less secure methods so they can collect data.
You must be fun at parties....
You say that it's a great option to carrying your credit cards around. So what happens if you want to make a purchase, let's say gas because you're on empty and the merchant doesn't accept google pay? Sounds like the shoe leather express. I think google pay is a more secure way of making payments but I would still carry my credit cards just in case...
