Late to the party but still need to say, this is the single best sponsored video I I’ve ever watched anywhere in terms of its content and sponsorship fit. Loved your Kentucky energy. You converted this viewer so congrats Makers Mark on ad spend well spent. Trevor and the elegant bottling ladies all deserve a raise. We need to see more end-to-end American manufactured products promoted. Anyway we can keep great quality products in business and good jobs for such great people without involving politics for once.
I live in KY and I just *knew* the air felt fresher, fancier and more unbridled lately. And now I know why! Thank you for gracing KY with your presence
@@davidcho0828 I live in Louisville and you all made a great choice on dining!!! Alison might not know this but she has lots of fans in Louisville, and our main local bookstore (Carmichael's) carries her cookbooks :D
Those copper stills are beautiful! When Alison releases new tutorials I always learn a thing or two about baking. I can safely say I’m more informed about the whole bourbon making process and how incredibly interesting it is
As someone who lives in Kentucky (Louisville) & works in the industry (bartender)...I LOVE THIS!!! I just wish I could have met you while you were here!
I LOVE Cobb Salad, starting in the late 1970’s, when Julia Child featured it in her series on PBS at the time called “Julia and Company”. Later, in the early 1980’s, I got into Salade Niçoise - because I was taking French lesson in college and mainly because canned tuna required no cooking unlike poached chicken breasts and fried bacon strips.
I also live in Kentucky and I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. I also just made two different Cobb Salads last week at my job. In the summer I like to add fresh corn. Perfect for a "Cobb" Salad.
I had a good laugh at the red wax station. Haha. I was thinking of Lucille Ball in the chocolate factory. That was an awesome tour at makers mark distillery. I will have to try it.
Cobb Salad is MY go-to salad like forever. The recipe was born much like the Caesar -- thrown together with whatever was handy at the time and voila! -- massive success! So, good on ya, Bob Cobb! The Commissary at 20th Century Fox Studios used to be famous for their Cobb Salad, but I haven't been there for about 30 years, so who knows?
The chicken looked fantastic cooked in bacon fat. (I always save my bacon fat, I also buy the thick cut, and I freeze it - it thaws enough to scoop some in minutes.) I’ll have to try Maker’s Mark after seeing this tour! I generally prefer rye whiskey but this looks enticing…
Having made a couple of trips to Loretto to Maker's Mark I really appreciated you showing the place as well. Loved your Cobb Salad as well. I haven't had one in some time, but I will fix that this week. Thanks
I have been to Loretto often but I loved seeing your adventure. I am a Maker's Mark Ambassador and refuse to drink any other bourbon much to the annoyance of friends and family. Thank you for the fun! And Maker's thank you for sponsoring Alison's show.
Good Lord this salad looks AMAZING!!!! That assembly was gorgeous and so aesthetically pleasing to this enneagram 4 Aquarius lol. I’ve been enjoying all the different drinks you’ve been making with Makers 46 too it’s my very favorite. I’m so glad to Home Movies is back on schedule BABYYY!🤍🤍🤍
I’ve loved your channel since I watched you fix a Thanksgiving feast in your small NY apt. I rewatch it every year ! Brush up & Refresh. NOW YOU’RE IN KY where I live !! Welcome !! Loved this Home Video. Also loved your Passover and you talking to your Dad.
I don't go out to eat much, but the other day my sister and I went to a fair in Falmouth, Ma. It was SOOOOOO HOT that day, we stopped for lunch and something to drink @ a local restaurant, (can't remember the name for the life of me, just to get out of the heat. I ordered a Cobb salad and it was FANTASTIC. - My new favorite salad!
Alison is a true Maestra of the kitchen, blue cheese and bacon on a salad - want some. I drink Bourbon the same way as Single malt Whiskey, neat no ice. I've now watched Oppenheimer twice, I'm going to watch it again.
@@davidcho0828 Nolan is a genius, he uses an Orson Welles plot device from Citizen Kane. It's critical to the ending of the film. I was stumped I had to research it.
Love your videos always, but this one was spectacular!!!!👏👏 Thanks Allison!! (I am Canadian but work in US for a while. Had a Cobb salad for the First time and I was hooked.) Your spritzzy derbie looks fantastic. Thanks to Markers!
I'm in the UK and have never seen a cobb salad over here. I had my first and only one ever in Polite Pig in Disney Springs in 2019 and I've thought about it ever since, it was my favourite salad ever. I subbed bacon and chicken for a maple glazed salmon fillet because I'm pescetarian. It was so great, what a salad
What a fantastic episode! Sponsored videos are usually so lame, but I really enjoyed seeing how Maker's is made. Will def be trying it soon. And that salad looked divine. Home run!
Wow, I can’t believe the incredible facility she is touring! Love the polished copper and brass casks (I’m borrowing the word from barrels- I don’t know the term). So absolutely gorgeous! Really fun show, Alison!
Salad looks beautiful and delicious! I would add black olives- I don’t give a hoot if they “go with” a Cobb salad. (Do they?) They would taste good and look good!
Returning back to report that I made a brown derby and a paper plane and both would have been improved if they were gin lol But your long form ads worked and I still love you
I am a full spirited lover of moonshine. Saying that I am motivated to try the Makers Mark - White Dog...aka not moonshine but possibly moonshine if not taxed heavily, so its White Dog. 🤣😂🤣

Thanks for including the boiling eggs and peeling tidbits - it's the littlest things that are overthunk.
