EPISODE 1
“A little Spark”
Episode 1 catches up with Matt, recounting the hazy history of the RNF’s humble inception, while shaping a 5’5” x 19 1/4” for Kolohe, who hurriedly hops down to Australia and promptly proceeds to put it to use, popping off in playful, punchy breach break, with youthful enthusiasm.
We skip over to Indo and catch up with Mason, happily hotdogging an unnamed left and then back home, to Hawaii, where he recklessly romps through anything and everything, all around the island. Jumping across to California, Griffin spends one full fall day, basking in the sunshine and golden glow of his home break, making a case that the RNF could conceivably be ridden as competitive contest equipment.
Finally, don’t skip the credits, as we stay with the Trestles theme and host a fish fest down at everyone’s favorite corner of cobblestone, featuring a classic collection of team riders, old and new.

Its weird it seemed like when the first 5’5 came out, many guys were unknowingly on the same page. I had ordered a 5’6 fish custom from local shaper. I skated my whole life and just wanted a bit of that in a surfboard. Got comments from dudes like “no kneeboards”. Than 5’5 came out and many of us were like f*ck yeah. Just a true movement at an awesome time.

Best board ever. I have 3: 2 5’8”s and 1 5’7”; Black Sheep, PU, and Light Speed. Love them. Best fins MICK’s twin plus. I only wish they didn’t ding so easily. My PU had like 13 ding repairs in 20 sessions from low tide. My black sheep arrived with a dinged nose. :( And, I crushed a rail on my knee bailing on my Light Speed, somehow. Still can’t even figure out how that happened. Love the RNF to pieces but feels like I’m doing dings more than surfing (maybe is just a Big Island lava rock problem🤷🏽♂️).
Loved it! - but how come there's no footage of Bruce Irons riding one??

In 1971 (yeah, dinosaur) I had a 5'3" fish with half circle keels an inch off the rail made by Claude Codgen, Sunshine Surfboards in Florida. I got the same snide comments for a month while getting dialed in, then silence when surfing circles around their 6'8s.
Natives are really restless in Ormond Daytona area to add some more Florida special bars it's that time. Yoooo ✌️ sick flick very inspiring 🙌

Been surfing Mayhem boards since their beginning, starting in Corpus Christi. Grew up watching the videos Randall, chicken, Wardo, Lopez bros.......one Question? what happened to chicks in bikinis? is that not PC these days? hahahaha
